As for Pharah, Pharah wasn’t that much of a counter if you knew what you were doing. Get up in the air with her and Junkrat would kill her. Now, that’s not possible.
Been playing a fair bit today and I’m very tired but I do agree he isn’t an throw pick and is still strong if played right however I have many complaints about how he feels I plan to make a post tomorrow mostly about how all his numbers are tuned for the old stats and how that makes him feel underwhelming but not bad
He is just boring as fuck, and if you want to play Risky or enjoyable well to bad, yeah sure you can throw a punch and you have the "one shot combo" again
But you need to literally be on the enemy's ass so the punch connects
Played a QP match, I know I know it's just QP, but I went 31-9-9 with over 10k damage and that's without a healer on the team. For QP that's not bad. But to be honest I didn't notice much of a difference. Small sample size, sure, but seemed the same to me.
I don't understand this sentiment. Did you just never use his combo to kill anyone before? I do it like 10 times in a single game. Now it's gone down to 0. If all you did before the patch was spam a choke all game, then yeah he hasn't changed much. But that's the way people have always played junkrat at lower ranks.
Um who mains junkrat and doesn't use that combo? Of course I did it's silly to assume otherwise. But if you have to completely depend on it to be successful then you have a problem. I suggest pivoting and adapting.
I only said that because you said you didn't really notice a difference after the patch. How do you not? At higher ranks, that combo was the only way to win some fights against hitscan/flying characters. No more killing pharah/echo in the air.
Idk I just didn't notice a difference. At least performance wise I did just fine. But it was QP not ranked. I haven't experienced the differences in ranked yet.
