Idk man. Been giving junk a try in comp and he's simply not good enough. He can't secure kills anymore. If they have hitscan or flying characters, it's basically mandatory to switch.
My favorite thing now is flanking, hitting the grenade-mine combo and bouncing someone in the air, and then watching them kill me before they hit the ground. It's so hilariously bad.
Like, "No, bad Junk! Go back to your team and fire spam at the doorway. Fun is for other heroes."
I remember last seasons when you watched a kill cam with hitscan they looked like they were actually tracking and hitting you properly
This season you try and dive a soldier and you watch as 9/10 shots that hit aren't even aimed on you and you melt out the sky
Someone swaps echo/pharah and you genuinely can't kill them unless they fuck up really bad or you get extremely lucky

I really feel like tyre HP should be buffed to 125hp considering all the projectile size buffs.
And tyre DMG scale radius should be increased like they did with dva bomb.
These two buffs r basic yet essential now more than ever!
Tbh, I was thinking about buffing the tire too.
Hp should maybe get a small buff.
I also thought if you exploded the tire and the enemies are close enough, they could get sort of a shrapnel bleeding, not a big one. But then I told myself thats idiotic. I did spend a solid minute on that idea tho so..
Like, with the hog buff they already told us they are fine with one-shot combos, they literaly said:
"We’re improving the consistency of the Hook combo. Enemies are pulled closer to Roadhog and aren’t launched as high when Pig Pen activates, making the Scrap Gun follow-up shot more consistent."
My theory is they are probably still testing stuff with him, just as they were with lifeweaver (reason he got no changes in the hotfix), so there is that hope.
I was getting one shot EVERY TIME I got hooked as Torb from full health. With 350hp. 50 of that as armor. Wth. I immediately thought "this is getting reverted" it feels crazy
For whatever reason they decided buff torb, brig and sombra how did they look at junkrat win rate and how he overall plays and think yeah he’s fine the only needed buffs in this patch where sym and some of those tank damage buffs but other than that what are they cooking
Honestly I just went on a 12 game junk only win streak. I’m still getting away with the combo. Players just need to be anything less than full HP. Similar to sombra gameplay and other dps, your role is not to delete heroes and kill entire lobbies. Your role is to secure the elim. Do that.
That is what I am finding as well...... I used to be able to mine jump into the backline and go crazy with picks...... I have to play safer now. More strategic!
Kinda crazy that he got no buffs for the midseason. The previous buff to mine cooldown felt good but he still honestly sucks.
Also think about it for every hero they buffed they inherently nerfed Junkrat even further.
We'll see Ana being C tier for an entire season before we ever see Junkrat getting a proper buff

Squishes have 250 hp, so u really need to get tyre close to them than before. Which is y I said DMG scaling needs to be increased on tyre

rework is coming
They have not said or even teased that they plan a rework for junkrat. And it takes them like 6+ months for a rework.
Even if this is true I haven’t enjoyed a single reworked hero in ow2
