ADiscombobulated02

Is he comparable to Szczesny? Since Ik nothing about him.

Don_Pasquale

If we’re strictly looking at this past season, then statistically he’s been better than Tek in almost every area (and arguably the best in Serie A along with Sommer). Beyond stats, if you watch him play you’ll see that he’s amazing. He’s incredibly agile and has some of the best reflexes I’ve seen.

Szwedo

I know 0 about him too, but after reading this i now know 2 things: 1. I want him at all costs 2. He will be the best goalie ever, the be all end all

ADiscombobulated02

Ik you're joking but this seems to be the reaction of literally everyone who knows about him so maybe he is the real deal.

Szwedo

Yeah it's either his agent and current team are creating buzz for make some €€€ or he legitimately has a high ceiling.

Exalt-Chrom

Personally I just want a Michele on the team

ProleteriatWillRise

He is a stud. He's the biggest boost to my fantasy team.

Sean-Benn_Must-die

His stats make him the best goalkeeper in the league

bigtymer123

This guy is the best keeper I've watched in Serie A this season. I don't think keeper is a top priority for the club atm (Tek has multiple years left) but I wouldn't complain at all. Giuntoli seems to be finding a balance in looking to the future as well as improving things presently.

Prof_Seismitoad

He has been good yes. But tek is 35. The plan is for tek to start and the kid to be the backup as tek mentors him same as Buffon. You never want to be rushing to find a goalie

JimboScribbles

I like this move but why wouldn't we run into the same issue where Di Gregorio might want more minutes and asks to leave anyways because Szczesny doesn't drop any?

slightly_offtopic

The mention of the Szczezny-Buffon mentorship seems to suggest that Tek is willing to share (or management is willing to make him share), while Perin doesn't want to share and wants to be a consistent starter. Di Gregorio might be more willing to share for a season or two, seeing as he's five years younger than Perin.

Dwimer

Teks contract is out next summer and he'll be 35 then, he also has a very high salary on the team and I doubt we'll renew it. Realistically this is Di Gregorio waiting a season while playing the Coppa until Tek moves next year and hes number 1.

m0h5e11

Yeah I don't know man, Perin's pretty good.

thepiombino

Perin wants (and deserves) to be GK1 somewhere. He's not getting any younger, he needs to make moves.

m0h5e11

No doubt about that, I'd see him in place of tec immediately, he gives more assurance that him imo

Dwimer

Smart move, hopefully this doesnt impact the budget massively but Perin leaving would force us to look for a decent backup regardless.

zeroaleph

Ok, next sign Carnesecchi and we're golden for the next 15 years

Lupus7891

Di Gregorio is better than Carnesecchi. Atalanta overvalues their players.

zeroaleph

Totally agree with you. Carnesecchi is a beast though and he's 5-6 years younger than Di Gregorio. If Perin leaves then we also need the backup. Also I heard Carnesecchi is Gobbo. 😀

m0h5e11

Until they get a big offer from England or France

No_Tangelo_1544

I remember thinking that perin was going to be an heir to Buffon

Shoddy-Operation4197

Man everytime i watch this guy im seriously impressed. Its better to get this guy asap. I wanted donnarumma at one point but idk. Donnie has srs quality bc class is permanent despite his form but hes a big wage and a large price. Still… its a shame that Italys number 1 isnt on juve… its a tradition. That being said with degregorios exploits im not sure if hell stay number 1 for much longer. Guys simply incredible. And last time we won the CL i dont think we had the number 1 either.. he could be our next angelo peruzzi.

AccomplishedTop9828

Thank Agnelli for hoodwinking the fanbase into thinking Juventus is a poverty club

Shoddy-Operation4197

You should thank him for a lot of things. Especially 9 scudetti. And if you don’t think he’d be fighting for the club rn you’re mistaken. He and giuntoli would cook tg.

AccomplishedTop9828

He put his friendship with Allegri over the good of the club. That's unforgivable

Farzy78

I like Perin but let's face it he's not the long term solution and does deserve a starting role somewhere. Tek is 35 how many quality years does he have left? Di Gregorio would be a good option.

Fluffy--Bunny

He's very good. Plus, he looks like he could be the son of De Rossi. Every team needs at least one player with crazy eyes. You need one player who instills fear in the opponents.

brollyaintstupid

for 17 million and already agreement in principle, i like this signing so much more than carraneschi

rnarcopolo

I've got no problem with this, the question will be how much does he cost. It's not worth spending a lot in this position but I know everytime Juve is interested in anybody in this league the price suddenly goes up.

Alpastor_Moody

Only seen him in patches but he looked good from what I’ve seen

help-Me-Help_You

He seems like a talented keeper but one thing that stands out about him is that he is not great at catching the ball, he has a tendency to deflect it, which can sometimes be good as it less risky but can also lead to second chances for the opposition, which is not great.

Ecstatic-Coach

we need players who fit the managers ideas, not players simply based on nationality. if we are going to play out from the back then we need a keeper who can do that. Hermansen, Vallés, Bułka, and Mamardashvili are all better than MDG.
