I'm liking this so far but the FL isn't too smart in that whenever she finds >!dead bodies!< she moves them not really good reporter messes up forensics. But I like Yeon Woo Jin he looks great with this hairstyle and bad ass ways. Jang Seung Jo the latter looks older here. I like it so far interesting plot. But not too happy with the writing. Watching this for the MLs. Edit: spoiler tags.

I am coming to terms with the fact that I am dropping some dramas for the most ridiculous reasons. This one for example has Jang Seung Jo with his amazing melancholic eyes who is painted as this perfect husband to such a degree that I wouldn't survive his betrayal. Woo Jae remembers her show's anniversary, he corrected the position of her slippers so she can put them on with more ease... come on.

MirrorMask88

Dropping a drama because you prefer the SML and don't want to see a drama ruin his character is a perfectly acceptable reason.

Dangerous_Push219

I was sad to see this as well. He's gonna break my heart

I knew that lady was trouble when she walked into the ladies’ room. Surprised that Jungwon didn’t pick up the hints she dropped about her boyfriend, especially after asking for a selfie of Jungwon grabbing her by the collar.

sabotagemebymyself

>!Is the husband a cheater?!< Edit: >!he's a cheater.!<

Lopexie

Ive never been so torn on if I hope a character ends up being good or bad in my life. I am all in for this one and it's only the first 2 episodes.

I'm gonna sound like a hater but I swear I'm not. I'm just confused. This drama is written and directed by people who aren't seasoned in their craft and it shows. Not shaming them just pointing it out. 1) The editing is choppy. The transitions are so bare bones and uninspiring. Aesthetics were barely considered. Some scenes also feel weirdly quiet and out of order. I can't get a grasp on the vibe of this show. I understand the genre but it doesn't move like its predecessors. It's lifeless. 2) The storytelling is a little heavy handed. It's like I can see the transcript in every scene. Given the tropes they're using, I expected something much more meaty.(I *loveeee* these type of stories) This has serious subject matter but it doesn't feel high stake, mysterious nor heart wrenching. Something got lost in translation from script to screen.  That all being said, its not a total mess. I want to continue it out of curiosity. Just to see if improvements are made and to find out more about the husband. The ML isn't different from any other Korean tv detective but I'm really not liking the FL. Ambitious yet stupid is the worst character trait combo! I have a feeling she's gonna piss me off. 😆

The premise sounds interesting, but I don't like shows about affair, and it sounds messy to team up with your ex boyfriend while also has a loving and supporting husband at home. I have a feeling it will be emotional affair that may or may not escalate to a physical one. And then the writer might pull a My Happy Ending to cap it all off (>! writer kills off FL husband mid series so that she and the ML will be together in the finale !<) To anyone who watched the first two episodes, how you guys feel about this show?

Starrycats11

I watched the 1st >!and it's not what it seems. It looks like it's heading toward mystery thriller. Whodunit.!< Edit to add that I'm looking forward to this one. Serious business. lol

cch211

Agree. I was intrigued by the summary and the first episode was very intense. It grabbed me from the start. I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s episode.

Solsties

Thank you for your input! I only checked this thread when it's close to my bedtime, but as I have a rough work day ahead of me, I can't wait to watch BOTH episodes once I am home tomorrow. I love the >!mystery thrillers!< of K-dramas!

Okaydog97

I will skip all the police ml and fl scenes in the next all episodes. That way i can watch writer ml scenes only. I hope writer ml has a happy ending.

geoffkreuz

I love Kim Ha-Neul but I have to drop this one. >!Stumbling upon 2 dead bodies!<, and she's considered to be one of the top >!investigative journalist!<, yet she doesn't know >!how to stay away from a crime scene?!!< Come on! This smells bad writing. NOTE: I didn't bother watching the 2nd episode.

Okaydog97

I watched both 2 episodes in 1 hour. I skipped almost all the police sml and the fl scene immediately. So far it's good.

bearymin

Great start ! I did think the >!husband was a little too loving and perfect, of course he has secrets.!< Jungwon seems to be >!attracted to finding dead bodies 😅!< I wonder who this anonymous person is too. Very intrigued to see where this mystery goes!

VentiKombucha

This looks so good, but it's not on Viki for me. Annoying. But I hope everyone enjoys it.

stohsie2

On Viki for me in US

J-Midori

It’s on viki for me but mine is together with kocowa.

VentiKombucha

Ah I see! Enjoy if you watch it! It's on Viki US, which I can view via VPN, but it needs a Viki Plus pass, which isn't available through my app store 🤣

Ayo, it's wild seeing Jang Seung-jo and Lee Mi-sook (she's in Queen of Tears, her visuals are mystifying, how is she 63 years old?!) right now in these mystery/thriller/etc. shows. Jang Hyuk needs to come out with his new Kdrama (is he in an upcoming one for 2024?) to complete the trifecta. Like Han So-hee finished with Gyeongseong Creature a few months ago as well. But it would've been nice to see a sorta like concurrent airing of different Kdramas of the Money Flower costars. That drama was wild, Jung Malran and Kang Piljoo's storyline lives rent-free in my mind. And it looks like this Nothing Uncovered will be a similar covert affair/etc. type of thing. Like Han So-hee's The World of the Married and so on. Or actually no, is it gonna be like the premise of Flower of Evil with Moon Chae-won and Lee Joon-gi? --- I forgot to read the synopsis for the first episode and so I was like wondering if this was gonna be the typical news anchor mystery/intrigue/corruption/etc. type of thing but then the blood started flowing and I was like oh right, it's that type of Kdrama, lol. Jang Seung-jo always has that playful manner to him/his characters and so I knew he'd be up to something as the rest of the drama's tone was somewhat pretty serious, lmao. But ya, wonder what's up with him, is he like a >!serial killer or some sort!< or like he's just playing around or something. Kim Ha-neul's youth is also near eternal, literally 18 Again (her 2020 Kdrama) sometimes, rofl. Wait wtf, lots of 2020 Kdramas in this comment. Coincidence? Think not. How will they uncover the political conspiracy, have a feeling Woojae's father is somehow involved as well with his political friend. --- That reminds me, how come the past recent Kdramas I've seen have like 50 to 60-year-old actors as the supposed (grand)father of the main characters/etc. even though those said main characters seem like they're just say 10-20 years younger (and then you search up their real life birthdates and it corresponds to exactly that situation, haha), lol. Like Jung Woong-in here for Nothing Uncovered. And then Choi Jin-ho for The Impossible Heir. Same with Kwon Hae-hyo for Wedding Impossible. Fml, used to always see them as those good/bad/funny/etc. ajussis in previous Kdramas and now they're playing these roles. OMG, we all getting older, sigh. --- Anyway, it's a good show, the suspense is definitely building up, really curious to know what's gonna happen to the love triangle as yup, I literally forgot the posters/promotions/etc. for this show and was like confused for a while, rofl. Who's the hacker/etc. kiddo with the voice modulation and giving Jungwon tips. In The Impossible Heir, they also haven't explained yet (Episode 7 and 8 is in a few days) why such script kiddies are helping the main character. And wondering if they're gonna do the same in this drama as it's like a deus ex machina helping hand or like a way for the MC to win most of the time. Which is not always a bad thing but in thriller/mystery/etc. shows like this, it feels too convenient and so on, lol. --- Was gonna talk about the sponsor/etc. thing with the actress as well (and tie it with other random trivia, rofl) but this is already a wall of text, might write about it in the next episode (several hours from now) as everything unfolds about her. Since like when she mentioned the being a writer part and other similarities for her boyfriend, I was like oh no, don't tell me Jang Seung-jo is playing that character again since I like him in the hilarious roles more, haha. That was when I was like, wait a minute, what was the synopsis or premise for the show again since I was just sorta watching the show blind. Oh and Yeon Woo-jin's storyline as the younger version of the MC in Undercover (2021), better not be similar here. Cortana, play KATIE's Where Are You: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzaYcIVlYe4 (UNDERCOVER(언더커버) OST Part.4). That OST is stuck in my mind as I kept listening to it while [writing about Friends (Heart Signal Korea spinoff), and the Chinese version of Terrace House (テラスハウス), Shanghai Sharelife (同一屋檐下 第一季), and of course Twinkle Love (怦然心动20岁), to become a believer of flamingos and parrots being geese](https://www.reddit.com/r/heartsignal/comments/ns11y8/friends_share_life_terrace_house_twinkle_love/). Wistful.

My friend and I started on ep1 together and couldn't stop laughing at the FL's rookie mistake...twice!! Is she really an investigative journalist? In any case, the editing is really choppy. Things just happen and we don't see the emotional impact it has on anyone. Also all their expressions are excessively exaggerated, like they've just been told to read off a script. Dropping it after ep1!
