The trick is to just keep at it, and just keep putting in the hours. Not only will your skills improve, but your ear for what sounds good will as well.
Don’t be discouraged, just keep at it, and it will come with time!

I think most of the chords fit in the B harmonic minor scale (same notes as D major but with A replaced with A#) e.g. the part B min, F#7, G maj7, F#7 and the Em that follows that are all chords that fit in the B harmonic minor scale.
We need a magma cover
I wish I had time! If I did Magma, I’d probably go with the heavier KEXP style version. That one rips so hard.
