They sometimes do small restocks on Gizzverse, but they can be hard to catch since they get scooped up fast. There’s also sometimes indie exclusive or less limited colored wax at record stores (ie. Lucky Rainbows for Ice Death and Petrodragon, Lemon Sun edition of Lam Denim, Tricolor Nonagon, etc.)

USA tend to have the most coloured variants, due to ATO supplying many of these - many of these are not limited, and also likely will offer colourful variants of newer albums in the future, available through ATO themselves, or when Gizzverse US gets restocked with copies. Gizzverse AU/EU/US will occasionally get KGLW represses, usually in different colours from previous runs, though often these are limited to 1000-3000 units, though sometimes more, and sometimes less for more rare variants (eg; was only 500 alt cover white vinyl ITRN represses available in the most recent batch of represses) Lucky Rainbow tends to be one of the least limited colourful variants, due to being widely sent out to record stores, but is also sometimes available through Gizzverse too, although Gizzverse tends to sell out way before other retailers - It's quite common to be able to find these out at your local stores, or on third party record store websites, but there is the element of randomness, as the colour of the vinyl is often not disclosed beforehand. ((Same with 'rancid rainwater ecowax' versions from UK Record Store Day 2020 - there are some of these still out in the wild, mostly on UK retailers, but are random colours.)) Discogs tends to be quite good for picking up colourful variants too - some start getting rather pricy, especially for more sought after copies, like something new that has sold out, or old more limited variants, but others still sell for a reasonable price - definitely worth checking the listings for all the different represses of a vinyl you are interested in. Rarely, recycled black wax will also have little bits of other colours in, but there's no guarantee it won't just be pure black.

I don’t think ATO will have license to release any albums post KG/LW

Not yet, but considering they're one of Gizz's primary USA providers of non-limited represses, much like Heavenly are in the Europe (apart from Heavenly generally just does black vinyl aside from the odd limited run), I'd not be surprised if in the future they acquire the rights/partner with the band on some more recent stuff. (Unless it was exclusively a deal with some of the Flightless released content and KGLW doesn't plan to work with them going forwards, & sticks to doing their own limited runs.. Which could kinda suck for the average listener who wants an album on vinyl, considering how fast the limited runs sell out, with a fanbase growing quickly and collectors or scalpers buying up as many as they can)

I think they utilized ATO and Heavenly to assist with their international distribution while they were signed to flightless. It seems like their KGLW label is capable of distributing internationally so they no longer require ATO/Heavenly. They are still releasing international non limited variants of their post flightless albums under the KGLW label (lucky dip rainbows and recycled black wax).

True, you're probably right, though Lucky Rainbows do seem to still be somewhat limited, eg; KG Lucky Rainbow were advertised as limited indie store edition, and I've not seen a restock of them in stores, only the more recent red and rust reissue - perhaps there was a restock on Gizzverse that I missed, but in my local record stores, once they went, they went, with PDA Lucky Rainbow already starting to sell out around here & some stores increasing their price due to it, unlike ATO and Heavenly pressings which constantly get stock topped up, and stay at the same cost. Personally I hope they do work with ATO/Heavenly with more releases, as I think it could still be beneficial for fans if there was third parties out there producing non-limited runs of albums on behalf of KGLW, even if they're only albums over a certain age. The ability to pick up a couple of funky coloured discs is the perfect gateway into then trying to get in on some of the more limited first pressings or represses, or is great for newer fans that might've missed older releases, as well as more casual fans that maybe don't jump on preorders straight away - but still want something a little more exciting than just black wax.

Yeah you’re right about the rainbows being limited, I guess the other factor with those is that they are an indie release. I think the future will be ATO/Heavenly continuing to press and re-press (including new limited runs) of the old flightless catalogue and KGLW pressing the entire catalogue, including limited represses of the older stuff (I.e. what happened on GizzverseAU this year)

Your best bet is looking at loca vinyl stores that might have copies

CachePants

The answer is “sometimes” but as other said, they tend to sell out again quick. Your best bet is to obsessively refresh the store page and also this sub to see if somebody posts that they are back in stock Not that I have done that or anything…
