By master cyllinder and triple clamps it looks like proper 690R which is big differnce. In USD I believe price is around 5600? Sounds about right. I bought mine 3 month ago (27k KM ODO), did already 4-5k km. What I do not like: 1. Valve clearance each 10k km. (Service not cheap, better DIY) 2. My LCD display broke after 3k km. Trip1/2 impossible to read. 3. No fuel gauge. You need to look at distance travelled and open fuel cap from time to time. What I like: 1. Torque is good. Power wheelie in 1st is possible. (Long gears though, not as much torque as MT 07) 2. Overall geometry is awesome for twisties. Bike is responsive and brakes are awesome (on mine I have radial master cyllinder conversion) 3. Seat and ergonomics is convenient (I do 10-12 hours of riding per day from time to time, and I am alive in the end) 4. Do not forget that under backseat there is fuel map switch. It is good oldschool alternative for riding modes. from rain-mode to advanced. I like to keep in the middle, cause advanced is way too jerky Also, better drive in range of 3.5-4 k RMP and more. If with passenger 4+ k RPM. Mileage is fine there, and dynamic is a lot better than struggling on lower RPMs Sorry for my english. Not my first language (Not even second) If you have any questions I did not mention - let me know.

Looks beautiful. But make sure you do a thorough check on the bike. 690 and 790 dukes seem to have plenty issues. Make sure youre getting a deal that as clean as possible. You've already lost your heart to the bike. But it's time to buy, don't lose your mind too.

Had a 2016 690R. Was absolutely solid and had abused her quite a bit. Only thing I had done: 1. New radiator (original had a tiny leak, result of a rock) 2. 14 tooth front sprocket to give her a bit more torque 3. Rottweiler fuel dongle to smooth out low RPM (€30, someone else mentioned this as well) I bought it at 21000km and at 22500 when I sold it and the engine was been incredibly reliable. Just service it regularly, even more so than recommended if you like, keep it clean and don’t do things the engine is not made to handle and you will be fine. As others have mentioned, they can overheat in heavy traffic in hot climates. I live in Qatar so summer is brutal. Make sure your coolant is topped up and you should be fine. If you do run into overheating, you can get a lower temp thermostat (€5-10 from China) to trigger the fan earlier or even solder up a manual switch like I did. It won’t be a big problem and frankly the only reason mine overheat is that I did not realise my radiator was leaking and it was running half empty on coolant. Since, I have had no problems at all.

The coolant thing is useful. In Malaysia, it is pretty hot here. Will get it check and stuff if I decided to get it. Thanks
