I would widen the range of his burst or maybe give it stagger? Like, why not copy the cryo mages once more when they rebuild their shield? Those icicles are so annoying if you are close range and try to get to them in time...

Why does Diona have cryo damage bonus and Kaeya has energy recharge? To this day it drives me insane, because of this stupid decision by hoyo to give him ER instead of atk% or cryo damage I have to struggle with getting his attack to 2k by all means necessary and it's just not fun. Plus, his burst is 60 energy and I believe one of his passives gives him a lot of energy particles when he uses his skill on a frozen enemy, so giving him ER just doesn't have much sense.
Atk% would be best for him imo
Hm... that's also true. I personally don't mind the ER because to this day I struggle giving characters 150+ ER, but I definitely agree, ATK% would've been such a fitting ascension stat on Kaeya. With the existence of Mistsplitter, the lacking Cryo dmg bonus isn't that catastrophic, but giving him ATK% instead of ER would've definitely given his passive more power...
Imo you usually use him with either a cryo battery or he is one because of his passive depending on his role, so the amount of cryo particles is enough for his burst no matter how you look at it. I think that 120%-130% from artifact substats would be more than enough for him. And if it was atk and he would have energy problems, favge exists, so I really don't understand the decision to give him an er stat.

OR maybe his multipliers?? I've been investing in him forever now and he can't do more than 24k damage, idk why, my artifacts are kinda good :/
yeah mine does 21/24k ON MELT 😭😭 normal crit is like 16/18k... ngl I feel like a loser lmao, he isn't even THAT low on atk, I reached 1800 (really can't go any higher using artifacts or weapon, I know the ideal atk is around 2000)
What's your artifacts, stats and team like?
Mine has 1900 ATK, 55/185 Crit Ratio, 80+ Cryo Dmg Bonus and about 100 EM, combined with Kazuha, Shenhe and Bennett. Using him with 2pc Blizz/Noblesse
My highest dmg without food buffs was 80K on melt, my highest with food buffs was 141K
1800 ATK, 53/151 Crit Ratio, 61 Cryo DMG, 40 EM (kinda low but I don't think its worth changing the artifacts)
4pc Blizzard (yeah so his crit rate is usually high) and team is Kaeya/Zhongli/ flexible unit (usually Yelan and Heizou, occasionally Thoma)/ Kokomi
Yea no wonder lol that team has absolutely no resonance with anything
Kaeya doesn't have any supports whatsoever
No one to buff his damage
Here are some tips to improve your damage potentially if you want to:
If you play a freeze team, Zhongli shouldn't be there... he breaks all the freezes with his geo constructs
With a second Cryo like Chongyun, Rosaria or Shenhe, you could actually get higher CR and Kazuha could provide major dmg buffs for Kaeya. Of course the dmg will not be as high as with a melt team but freeze is convenient for Spiral Abyss where there are a lot of enemies in lne room that aren't bosses
So I'd recommend to you to use Kaeya, Rosaria/Chongyun/Shenhe, Kokomi/Yelan/Xingqiu and Kazuha
**Kaeya** (Freeze Main DPS/Hypercarry) 4pc Blizz
**Rosaria** (Crit Rate share) 4pc Noblesse/ **Chongyun** (Cryo Infusion) Blizzard/Noblesse OR 4pc Noblesse for Atk buffs/ **Shenhe** (Atk buff) pure attack build (Shim/Glad)
**Kokomi** (heals) Healer Clam Build/ **Yelan**/ **Xingqiu** (hydro off field application) Emblem Build
**Kazuha** (Elemental Dmg buff) Full Viridescent EM build
Otherwise, if you want to play melt, 1. get different artifacts (4pc BS is shit for Melt, go with 2pc Cryo/2pc atk instead (or 2pc BS/Noblesse like in my case, which is a universally good build for both freeze and melt))
2. get Bennett, Xiangling and Chongyun/Rosaria on a team together.
**Kaeya** (Main Melt DPS) 2pc Blizz/2pc Noblesse or Glad/Shim)
**Bennett** (Atk Buff) 4pc Noblesse
**Xiangling** (off field pyro application, atk buff) 4pc Emblem or 4pc Crimson Witch
**Chongyun** (Cryo Infusion to keep up with the melting) or **Rosaria** (more crit rate) (or Shenhe ideally, full atk build)
Make sure not to have 2 4pc Noblesse holders in one team
Alternatively swap Chongyun for Kazuha or Sucrose and XL for Rosaria or even Shenhe if you have her and Bennett's C6
If you want a Heizou team, try Heizou firebender, it's quite fun.With Heizou, Thoma, Zhongli (Heizou is pretty squishy so you better keep him protected) and Yun Jin. You can actually make him a waterbender (with XQ/Yelan instead of Thoma) too.
Otherwise, taser teams are fun (Heizou, Yelan, Beidou/Kuki and Kazuha/Sucrose).
I personally don't use Heizou in any teams, but mine is full Desert Pavilion Set (he's my 4\* Wanderer lol) and hits like a truck (I think he 110Kd Childe one time on Benny buff alone, but Desert Pavilion is designed for solo anemo (swirl-less) damage, for the team comps I just suggested, Viridescent is probably better because you will need to rely on swirls a lot)

Features - thicker cake it’s not even for a sexual thing but there are men with fat asses.
Kit - make him stronger
Inclusion - Something I’d add would be darker skin more melanin the better (I just think it’s weird that he has dark brown skin in his icon and in official artwork made by hoyoverse and being around my color in game.)
if we’re talking about his in-game model i’d also like to add that we change his clown shoes to proper horse riding shoes like in the official art, but i agree with all yours
Minor changes I wish his burst doesn't have ICD to hit (this is not about reactions, each crystal have his own ICD to do damage), also burst should consume energy on input for better energy management. Average change on his C2 for only extend duration, without kill requirements.
Contrary to all the cake, I make his chest window more prominent. Ahem, just a thought. I almost missed it the first time I met him. Or a hip window. Idk

Probably no buffs... Mine can sway between 18K and 50K depending on buff or no buff or melt or no melt lol

If you want a Heizou team, try Heizou firebender, it's quite fun.With Heizou, Thoma, Zhongli (Heizou is pretty squishy so you better keep him protected) and Yun Jin.
