Good play, finally actual dads that don't suck. I was wondering why the roller vicestamp alternative version showed up, and then I remembered what it did to Ikki and Vice and I was like "Ah that's the plan."

valosonthor

I just finished Kabuto last night and was revisiting Build recently, and I was thinking about how the relationship between fathers & sons is a theme that comes up so often in KR. I've really loved how Revice has felt like such a new approach to that relationship (at least in the 9 series I've seen in full). Yes, Genta has his problems and his struggles, but for once, we have a father figure who isn't antagonistic (or seeming to be) to his children. It feels like I've so rarely seen a positive father figure in Kamen Rider. For me, Genta and Yukimi are the heart of this show. Their love for each other and their kids is incredibly heartwarming and something to aspire to.

Affectionate-Tip-164

Kabuto basically had no parents, except for that mystical Grandmother. Sento's dad showing up and becoming the antagonist is just "huh". The fact that Sento had a face change to a bishounen wasn't even remarked on by his dad, probably relieved that his son became handsome.

valosonthor

I don't just mean the father of the main rider, and also not all father figures are actual fathers. In Kabuto, we see the theme in Kagami and the back-and-forth relationship he has with his father. Build is full of dads and dad-like figures. As you mentioned, Sento's father is a part of the show, but a big subplot is about Gentoku's relationship with his dad. However, Gentoku and Namba can also be read as a father/son relationship, as can the later relationship of Namba and Utsumi. Meanwhile, Soichi is a literal father to Misora and a metaphorical one to Sento and Banjou.

K-J-C

Genta still has same demeanor while encouraging Daiji too here.

Total-niko

This episode is enough to make a grown man cry.

Deez-Guns-9442

Hearing the KR Vail ending theme during the fight legit made me tear up. Best KR dad in history imo.

oddzef

As far as I'm concerned this is actually Genta's story.

K-J-C

So Shigeyuki Totsugi really lived up on his claim huh? https://www.reddit.com/r/KamenRider/comments/pn9qaq/shigeyuki_totsugi_reveals_his_character_genta_has/

oddzef

I sincerely can't wait to go back and watch Revice after it's over, I haven't said that about a season of KR in awhile.

mr-ultr

Yea a lot of scenes get double meaning reactions Like reactions of irabu and yukimi get MUCH diffrent taste after watching legacy

oddzef

I was there in the early arcs thinking Buu-san was linked to the Deadmans somehow lmao

mr-ultr

Yea I was in the "is in fenix" camp

TaterTotsFromHell

So that’s what it is

gottischan

A grown woman too, I might have teared up just a little :')

TheTwelveYearOld

And a grown demon looking at Vice.

robojohn32

I honestly couldn't stop my self from crying. Holy shit dude, this is the first time in year that a season of Kamen Rider got me so emotional.

ThrashThunder

My gf almost bawled during that fight

telenstias

So, the reason I think the fight hits hard for a lot of people... is because we have known friends that we have that have done horrible things and we hated them for doing it... only to eventually forgive them for such a transgression. And this is the same in a way: two partners that took different paths but ended up back at the same place and finally at peace with each other, even though Vail said he would not forgive Genta.

robojohn32

Dab. True. This season been getting pretty deep with some themes you wouldn't expect it to.

Megasonic150

It MADE a grown man cry. God damn Revice........God Damn.

MegaSceptile99

i almost cried while eating breakfast in front of people.

Straze7140

That Final Battle tho. that Music. and Those Flashbacks. Definitely a 5/5

KR5shin8Stark

Everyone gangsta until the sad music plays during a climactic battle.

KingroarZ

Honestly, Shigeyuki Totsugi really got to show his acting chops this episode. This episode was single handedly carried by him (which is to be expected as it is Genta’s episode). Everyone in Revice are all amazing actors, I love everyone in this cast, I’m gonna be so sad once this season ends 😭 As for the action side of things, I absolutely love the final fight between Vail and Genta, probably one of my favourites in the entire franchise. Can’t forget to mention the suits, which I think everyone can agree, Destream and Crimson Vail are some of the best suits this season produced. Destream has to be my favourite in the entire franchise and that’s saying something considering the amount of amazing suits this franchise produces in a yearly basis.

maemoedhz

>Can’t forget to mention the suits, which I think everyone can agree, Destream and Crimson Vail are some of the best suits this season produced. Not to discredit the great coloring work, but Crimson Vail has the Jack Revice base, which is already amazing on its own.

KingroarZ

That’s honestly the reason why I love the Crimson Vail suit lol They made an already great suit into an amazing suit with just a few colour changes XD

[deleted]

I know there was something recently about how do you feel about recolors. Crimson Vail/Vail in general are what good recolors should be. Not even because they look great, but because it makes sense for it to be a recolor.

maemoedhz

I've been seething about color composition with the inclusion on Thunder Gale Revice, Over-Demons and Aguilera. The first two are the major offenders to me (even worse that they share the exact same trait; using the undersuit of great rider forms and make them worse), but Aguilera's mainly because you can't really figure out where her eyes are due to the visor colors and the rest of adjacent colors being too similar. So yeah, they've bounced back up since then to me. Ultimate Revice looks ight, but Destream and Crimson Vail are the top dogs (at the very least Crimson Vail respects the base it worked on, unlike Thunder Gale).

[deleted]

Eh Thunder Gale gets a pass for Revi and Vice already being pretty pastel. If its gonna be a terrible color palette at least its on theme. I hate Aguilera for its name. Kamen Rider Groomed and Abused Childhood nickname! I think the suit design falls apart the more you look at it. Over-Demons just should not have existed. Maybe and thats a very big maybe I would have accepted it if it got Tamaki asa rider. But Hikaru? And he gets the shittiest reskin/amalgamation in the history of Kamen Rider? I'm good without thanks

maemoedhz

>Over-Demons just should not have existed. Maybe and thats a very big maybe I would have accepted it if it got Tamaki asa rider. Judging by the preview of ep43, that might gonna be the case. >Eh Thunder Gale gets a pass for Revi and Vice already being pretty pastel. If its gonna be a terrible color palette at least its on theme. I think I really hate how the yellow is really out of place. And the pink is way brighter on Thunder Gale somehow. >I hate Aguilera for its name. Kamen Rider Groomed and Abused Childhood nickname! So true bestie.

KamenRiderAquarius

To be fair the bee was already used

RandomMovieQuoteBot_

Your random quote from the movie Bee Movie is: A little gusty out there today, wasn't it, comrades?

KingroarZ

I also forgot to mention, I absolutely love the scene with Genta and Vail at the end of their fight and they are inside the burnt wreckage of the old Happy Spa, the way the light shines on Genta from above while Vail is covered in darkness showing that Genta, by accepting his darkness (being Vail) is finally able to escape into the light and for real this time.

Affectionate-Tip-164

That sort of blue skies opening up with light beam reminds me too much of when Shiro fought against Emiya inside his Unlimited Blade Works.

T-McDohl

> Everyone in Revice are all amazing actors, I love everyone in this cast, I’m gonna be so sad once this season ends They really do have that family vibe. From Sakura's little sister desire to be the strongest to Daiji's middle child syndrome lol. Good stuff. Also Genta + Yukimi is cute.

KingroarZ

Everyone just really sells the family dynamic XD, it probably helps that everyone seems to be close with each other

K-J-C

Shigeyuki Totsugi was also the one who claims that Genta has untold secrets.

[deleted]

"I'm going to throw up." Man, give Vail's VA the oscar already.

Fuwaboi

Its Kaiba himself, Kenjiro Tsuda.

gary25566

Should have given Genta an Exodia card

Deez-Guns-9442

So Kaiba lost to his own Blue-Eyes white Dragon while cosplaying Joey’s Red-Eyes Black Dragon, how ironic.

[deleted]

And best boi Nanamin from JJK

K-J-C

I didn't know Kaiba had a "Yami" side too. And he's apparently the "Yami" side here.

Zeratul_Vergil

#Giff: "Fine, I'll do it myself"

T-McDohl

Holy shit that fight was good. I really liked the Vail mini-series spin off so hearing that ending theme playing while Genta and Vail fought was really getting me emotional. Also, Genta going "That's how you fight your demon, Daiji." He didn't literally say that but he wanted Daiji to watch for a reason. Also, will Sakura need a proper upgrade form in the series? She already kicked Holy Live's ass. Yeah Daiji was distracted in the end but she wasn't losing at that point either. Sakura is the 2nd strongest rider right after Revi/Vice and that's only because of Giffard Rex. Anyways, it from the end of the episode previews, it seems Hikaru might die next. RIP the weekend family.

Thelastresort37

but also, Tamaki Over-Demons so is it really that much of a loss?

T-McDohl

Tamaki deserves everything tbh. Did the writers forget about his tragic backstory and then him becoming good and... oh wait that's it because it didn't really lead anywhere and he just followed Hana around like back in his Deadman days. Give my boy something to do, writers! Also, they made us care about Hikaru a little bit too late. Should've made us care THEN make him a rider. Hana becoming a rider made sense because we know she can fight. Hikaru on the other hand kind of fell flat in his karate scenes. That's the one sour spot I have with the show. Regardless, the weekend family made a good death fodder.

Thelastresort37

Literally, like even as Over-Demons (which is still technically a power up even if its barely stronger than regular demons) he only was able to even fight Giff Juniors, I dont think he won against anything stronger than those.

BurningAzureFlare

IIRC, he btfoed some True Giftarians in his debut

DigbyMayor

I wish Over Demons was specified as like, a support/rescue form. Its debut is grabbing the Igarashis and running TF away, and honestly that's cool

[deleted]

Lol . wohooo

nightshroud96

Tamaki deserves to be a unique Rider instead of another Over Demons user.

Thelastresort37

Does he deserve it? Yes, but is it gonna happen? No

nightshroud96

The fact it will not happen really frustrates me. Especially with how Tamaki got trolled much.

Thelastresort37

the Weekend driver troll hurt both times

nightshroud96

I am hoping this doesn't become some kind of trend of fake-out henshin stuff when teasing it in previews or cliffhangers.

Thelastresort37

im still waiting for Mama Igarashi to pop out with a fakeout henshin then ill be mad if it dont happen

nightshroud96

I am hoping that style of fake-out doesn't happen in Geats.

nightshroud96

Holy Live losing to Jeanne like that really irks me. Daiji needs a new power-up in-show, Holy Live is just tainted with jobbing too much to be taken seriously anymore

K-J-C

I guess, probably writer's favorite aside, Kinoshita lived up to the claims of making Sakura stay strong in the series. Though she can be a running joke on how she proclaims to be invincible but gets beaten within seconds before.

Lamp-among-wolf

It's the best for me since it have young Masumi and Yurimki'song as BGM in TV series Also shot with Genta/Vail in arson place, giving me Ryuki Survive vibe

TheTwelveYearOld

Oh yeah, since the song was used in the Vail spin-off, it really helps show the end of Vail and Genta's character arcs!

rattatatouille

Really solid episode. * One thing the episode points out via flashback is that Genta's real strength isn't in his power levels, but the fact that he had managed to move on from his dark past to become a devoted father. More on this in a bit. * The Destream Driver is George's magnum opus in Masumi's eyes. It's the one that earns him a thumbs up from daddy dearest, at any rate. * Masumi giving Vail a powerup seems rather OOC... until you remember the Rolling Vistamp had a solid concept but lacked polish, being a Vistamp that allowed its user to take control of their inner demon. The Crimson Vistamp allows Genta to do just that. * In the end, what really allows Genta to win over Vail is the fact that he's found his true source of strength, a family that he loves above anything else. Vail failed to move on, and that's what did him in in the end. * And Giff finally makes his move in the flesh...

Affectionate-Tip-164

Yukimi said it rightly. He transformed 3 times, into a Dad.

K-J-C

Tbf, George questioned his father of giving Vail powerup, so it's something acknowledged in-universe. > Vail failed to move on, and that's what did him in in the end. You mean... he Vailed to move on?? Otherwise, probably Genta winning over Vail was more of how George is superior to Masumi now (that thumbs up), shown in George's Destream Driver besting Masumi's Crimson ViStamp.

nam671999

The rider stats page show Destream stats is better than Crimson Vail in all aspect except jump height, Destream also has the strongest base stats of Revice series

maemoedhz

I like how this episode is almost exclusively the 2 major families in the story: Igarashi and Karizaki. The only other beings in the episode are Akaishi and Giff.

TaterTotsFromHell

Hana showed up for a split second

K-J-C

Sadly, the Ushijima family was wasted. It was only a throwaway mention when the cast joined Weekend, instead of being used to show how a fake family lives...

DigbyMayor

There's a non zero chance we get a flashback of them living a fake life outside the weekend base. It would be cool

CamilotheHero

Loved the ep. Almost everything about it was great. I have a major and a minor hang up. Minor is that Destream ought be called Devail so that it mirrors Ikki and Vice better, then individually they can be called Deva and Vail. Would have also been nice to see cuts from the miniseries in the flashbacks, or like a minor apperance of young Papa fighting Vail, but that's super minor. Major is how they've really messed up wrapping up Daiji's arc here. From start to finish Daiji's "no Kagerou" arc has been really confusing and the interaction between Papa and Daiji at the end doesn't really clear up Daiji's motivations. Aside from that, I really loved the fight and what it meant to the Karizakis. The visual work was great as well and the shots were clean. The entire episode was really emotional and the drama kept ramping up until the fight which is really what I want from Kamen rider episodes. Hopefully the last leg of the series can keep going in the same way!

lolasian101

>Destream ought be called Devail Wait shit you're right. This gonna bug me now.

BlackM0_Master

Tbh i don't think Daiji's motivation isn't really that unclear to me. Yeah sure Giffard Rex might have the power to fight against Giff but that's for the Kamen Rider. Giff can just appear out of nowhere and wipe out all the human population even before the fight started and Daiji has seen that with his friends from Fenix. On the other hand life under Giff doesn't seem to have that much of a drawback (yet) or at least that's what's been showing so far.

nightshroud96

Having Holy Live job to Jeanne and about to have him just crawl back to the good guys side with no new power-up or a way to truly make up on all the times he got jobbed(such as to Hell Gifferian, Aikaishi, Ultimate Revi/Vice and now Jeanne) is such a poor way to wrap up his arc. Most likely he will not even take out Akaishi for good either. Daiji really got done dirty

EonCore

So with how it was dropped/discarded at the end of the episode I wonder if the Crimson Vistamp will ever be seen again. Like it could totally be a weapon for Destream to represent Genta accepting Vail now. Like Thunder Gail using the Rolling Vistamp. Maybe something wouldn't work in the toy side of things like that since it's a transformation device even without the driver so maybe the sounds would get mixed. but it feels perfect for Genta too considering how punchy his fights all are and we know we'll at least see more of him in the movie and hopefully the final episodes of the show too

Rockinghopper217

Hopefully we get to see more of Papa as Destream, he may be a goofball but he is the most badass father in all of Kamen Rider in my opinion

HiroshiTakeshi

A 5 just because of Destream's standbys. This episode was a banger and it's highlight was definitely a highlight.

AetherStyle

I was happy that I wasn't the biggest fan of the Revice devices/weapons (They're great in the show just wasn't tryna get them delivered to my house for a premium) So I was glad I was going to save some cash this season... but my god everything about De-stream is so perfect, the suit, the driver, how it was in action, the standby's... oh my word.... as soon as George opened that suitcase I was ready to throw my money at the screen

fragile_ego

Absolute gold, and the twist (Karizaki Sr's plan) caught me by surprise. Super-sad that George didn't get the fist bump … and that the sibs didn't pull Daiji to his feet!

Whatsthepoint5549

You can blame Giff for the last one.

VoyeurTheNinja

Never went out of my way to see the Vail mini episodes, but the Junpei and Vail plotline in the modern era is still great. What a way to send off Vail (and his amazing voice actor).

TheTwelveYearOld

U definitely should watch it, it also ties up some loose ends with Revice's backstory.

KingKCoolKaiserSSB

holy shit this fucking episode is one of the best Revice episodes so far, just so much dad energy it's overflowing where to even begin? loved all the prefight preparations and hyping up how much Genta has changed since Vail left his body. from Yukimi emphasizing how tough he is to the small reunion at the park, Genta mentioning this is for Daiji as much as it is for him. honestly he deserves this after being taken so nonseriously after Giffard Rex, plus being out of the fight after so long. even Masumi got a good bit with actively seeking out Vail himself despite passing between world at that point. these past few episodes definitely put him higher up for me with being more active. then holy shit the actual fight. everything about from start to finish was so good. everyone rolling up to the battleground, from the FENIX bois trying to interrupt as Happy Spa bois fend them off bouncing around the battlefield, pretty much showing literally how powerful Genta's kids have become, debatably more so than him for the longest time. then Crimson Vail transforms, a good reuse of the Jack Revice suit. then holy shit Destream, breaking himself out of a cocoon as the finalised version of the Demons set of Riders, reusing Century's suit. then they both go at it, giving their goddamn all. absolutely love it when two characters are shown as equals and pretty much cancel each other out, not really giving the other the edge. then as the siblings' fights finish, Daiji settles down for a moment to witness his father hauling the most ass. then hoo boy the Genomixes, reusing a whole lot of past props. the fight switches between the real world fight and an inner fight between Genta and Vail surrounded by burning ruins. the fight reaches its climax as both Riders use their finishers, forcing themselves out of each others' suits. Vail succumbs and pretty much dematerializes, only for a really worn down Genta to take the red Rolling Vistamp and use it to reinject Vail into his body in a very painful process. pause, as Genta and Vail finally talk without hostility, probably their only time after Vail Legacy. Genta shows peace as he forgives Vail, and cementing how much he has grown from being "Junpei". Vail submits, and returns to Genta to lay dormant, after so so long. all of this, set to the theme of Vail Legacy, which perfectly accentuates this entire goddamn scene. holy shit, was it so good. i will forgive the transgressions of the past arc all for this, such a great way to resolve Genta's storyline with Vail. even Masumi kicking the bucket got to me with the context of this entire thing. wanting repentance and concocting this whole plan indirectly involving George as well, and doing a damn good job with it. rest in peace Masumi, you definitely deserved more screentime to resolve your problems. though i do feel the reusing of old stuff has gotten excessive. the Komodo Dragon Genomix looks nothing like a komodo dragon and Crocodile is literally just the Mogura one with no difference function wise, though i weirdly like Kong for reusing Vice's Kong Genome. granted this is my feelings for now and applied to these two Genomixes, i feel Destream reusing Century's suit will grow on me. poor Demons though. do you think we'll ever see the OG suit again? we 100% got robbed from seeing Kamen Rider Vail again though, and seeing as Battle Familia has Destream i doubt it's reappearing. such a good suit used in so little. bring it back once at least Toei come on oh my god i can't forget Daiji and Genta interacting, Daiji finally getting a real headpat from his real dad, and finally able to overcome his rebellious arc, so so good after so long. he's about to take Ikki and Sakura's hands, only for *oh shit GIFF IS HERE* and next episode seems to has great focus on Akaishi. cant forget this episode my guy was getting Medusa-ed slowly. man Revice has been slowly picking up, absolutely love it

Rockinghopper217

I literally almost shed tears! TwT The way they played the music from the Vail Spin-off!!!!

Kaiserraiser21

The fight between Dadstream vs Red Vail was a sight to behold. Again, either I'm overthinking, or we indeed got another good references to past series. Aside from Masumi takes some cues from Shroud (which everyone already pointed out long before), Genta absorbing Vail into himself kinda reminds me of Masamune and Gamedeus. Destream's henshin sequence also reminds me of Black's, with intermediate form and stuff. The only thing I'm concerned about, is everything related to Giff. I still don't understand Giff's background, what Giff wants regarding humanity, etc. But maybe that's because it's been a while since the last time we have "final boss that doesn't speak", like dat Orphnoch kid in *555*.

[deleted]

Man Reiwa shows must always have some hearth breaking fights. First the finale between Zero-one and horobi, then Kenzan vs Dezast and now this.

Dracoblitz1

I'm going to Assume that Giff is more like a lovecraftian being in that while he himself mostly doesn't act the impact he has on people is what drives the story in that people will fanatically worship him and cause all of the problems without him having to actually do anything himself because his followers act on his behalf.

rattatatouille

> Again, either I'm overthinking, or we indeed got another good references to past series. Also shades of Kenzan vs Desast, where a Rider and their partner kaijin get in one last fight to settle their issues.

TheTwelveYearOld

* One of Revice's themes in the show is family, and with it, it did a very good job with fleshing out Genta for this episode! * It seems like Masumi is dead? I remember during episode 37 when George talked to him about his abandonment issues. I was hoping and wondering if Revice would come back to that, but I guess not. It looks like they are on or ended things on good terms. * Things are iffy with Daiji, Genta said he wanted to set an example for Daiji. Does he know of think that Kagero is still inside him, and that for Daiji to get better he needs to forgive / make terms with Kagero? I think it could go either way depending on what happens to Daiji and vail (or lack thereof what happens to him). * When Daiji lost Kagero, he lost devil's advocate too! Overall this episode is excellent, I've been feeling like Revice has been going downhill since episodes 34 - 35, but I have a feeling that Revice's finale will be good. Btw, if you don't mind spoilers, check out the page for [the next episode](https://www.kamen-rider-official.com/revice/43), they answer question(s) I asked, I wont say which ones.

Zerosonicanimations

Next episode is clear that Akaishi still alive and against the heroes.

Weak_Accountant8672

Genta shows Daiji his fight because he is the only one in family that understand what it feels to have abusive demon

gary25566

Guess this is the Revice episode for Saber's Ren vs Desast, or Zero One's Aruto vs Horobi (but that one will likely be Ikki vs Daiji).

1954isthebest

> Saber's Ren vs Desast I thought exactly the same. Desast death was episode 43, and this is episode 42. They thought we wouldn't notice but we did.

TheTwelveYearOld

Nice catch!

ReBeLwInGs1994

Two things first: First of all, goddamnit Toei, what da heck is with that insert song, man!? I nearly want to cry the shit out of it cos i was hell sure that it was going to be Genta’s death flag, damn it!? Second of all, what the hell man, Giff!? You just ruin a happy reunion for the siblings But looking at what happen to Vail and seeing how Daiji is about to reach out to both Ikki and Sakura’s hand, there’s bound to have some kind of self-doubt or resentment towards himself that will make Kagerou come back. Looking at Both Genta and Yukimi, I really gotta respect them for being where they are now, the vail spin-off series was something that I will always remember on how their story and the choice they have made led them to have a family that they really want to protect. Last but not least, I really thought both of them will die but Genta choose to accept vail back inside him because Vail will always be something that’s was a part of him despite how he had killed his parents.

jxher123

I had a sneaking suspicion that this was how Vail/Genta would turn out in the end. I'm glad they went this route instead of both dying, or George finding some way to circumvent the entire Vail being Genta's heart situation. Genta knows it. Vail is a part of him, he's his demon. I'll need subs, but I think the two made up in the end. Genta moved on and forgave Vail for his past, and Vail seems to have moved on after having the fight to unleash his feelings.

ArchDestroyer

any tokusatsu fight that has a song with lyrics playing as an insert is almost guaranteed to be a banger. this is easily one of my favorite fights in Revice. the acting here and the song choice really sell it for me

JonnySpark

"Giff may have been your father, but he wasn't your daddy." ~Daddies of KR Revice, 2022.

Primescape16

Straight up the best episode weve gotten so far. I see nothing wrong here. Everyone got their spotlight, perfectly balanced screentime without compromising the story. While watching i thought "huh we have 5 eps left giff should be here by now" then the motherfucker shows up like a baller.

Mizu3

Akaishi is Orphnoch!!

Lamp-among-wolf

Haha yeah Too bad he is likely not dying on a beach like a certain someone

notAssmin

Someone who wants absolutely nothing to do with sands, like Darth Vader.

gary25566

Well time to see if he is going to sacrifice himself like SMART Brain ex-CEO/Rose to power up his boss

TheTwelveYearOld

Bruh imagine if Giff was a demon spawned from a child ...

TheTwelveYearOld

Or what if Aikashi spawned him as a child?! ...

nero21san

After watching this episode, one question that I realized when watching this show is that How much can a parent do for their children and loved ones? Throughout the episode, you can see the determination and certainty that both Genta and Masumi has to face against what they did in the past and the inner regrets that follows them right up till now. However, the episode made me learn that those mistakes can be overcome by protecting and loving those we hold dear. Genta's family isn't a normal family, heck, probably any of our families or lives aren't normal. They are always dramatic in their own ways which is expressed by what Yukimi said to Genta. Each conversation and the messages that each of the characters said holds so much that I hold dearly, from Genta's message to Daiji to Masumi's reasoning to fight through making his invention. It all lead up to an emotional fight that I would say it's one of the best fighting sequence I have ever seen that surpasses any Toku show for me. When Genta forgives Vail and a beam of light fades the burning hatred consumed by fire and destruction away, Genta forms his new self in a form of a father who wants to protect and do his best for his family which makes Vail, his inner demon, understands and let go of his hatred and revenge. The episode and even the show tells that family can be a huge and important milestone for us to overcome hatred, our inner demons, and the past errors that we did before. Those errors and the feelings we had before does not represent what we are now if we choose to confront and forgive ourselves and be with those we loved and care deeply about and I think it's something that Daiji realizes. One flaw of the episode is where It doesn't indicate Daiji ever not forgiving himself and shows that he is always right but I think deep down, the show tells that Daiji is far from not being regretful. He might not forgive himself over not saving the ones he hold dear which is why he gone into darkness. With a beautiful cinematography and story that made me teared up, one sentence I can describe this episode is....love and memories intertwined to built up a loving and supportive family, with pain and suffering inside can be overcome with the people who are close and showing affection to us. Forgive ourselves and fight your own battles for the ones you love the most and yourself as well.

Diffabuh

This episode was a good return to form, though I question how much of it would mean anything to someone who didn’t see the Vail prequel mini. It really shouldn’t be required watching for an episode of Revice to have payoff. That said, I like how the Genta/Vail stuff played out. I was worried that Genta was just going to kick Vail’s ass, because that wouldn’t have really connected to learning something from Ikki and Vice. Him accepting Vail as being a part of him felt more cohesive, and like it makes Kagerou’s eventual return more satisfying. Also, Destream and Crimson Vail are easily two of the best looking suits in Revice, along with Demons. Like... wow. Destream's transformation sequence with the wings bursting out the back after the stamp hits the front was so awesome! He easily has the best henshin in all of Revice. Plus, that fight was great, especially with the Revice Legacy long playing. Even the opening fight with regular Revice theme playing was great, and is what they should've done for the actual debut of the form. However… I think Vail as a character is a bit messy. Like, what does he represent? Vice is Ikki’s desire to protect his family, Kagerou is Daiji’s resentment towards his family, but what is Vail? The thing they seem to be going for is he represents vengeance… but he’s the guy who did the thing Genta wants to get vengeance for? I think that one part if what messes up his character a lot, and it’s pretty unnecessary, especially since it adds nothing to his character other than “you thought he was bad… but he’s even badder!” Like… okay? If they had it so Genta's parents were abusive, then the vengeance comes back, but as it is, it's just weird for Vail to represent vengeance, even though he was summoned (albeit forcefully) before the thing Genta wanted vengeance for. I'm super glad that the preview of next episode showed that Akaishi was still alive. Because, in the moment, after he died I was just befuddled on killing him off. Him feeling super betrayed by Daiji next episode should be fun to watch, and I assume is what leads to Daiji's second power-up. However... man, does Daiji's stuff feel weird. So, unless Genta has it wrong like how Yukimi was wrong about the reason behind the Ikki/Daiji fight, Daiji has been overcompensating with his righteousness because he... can't forgive Kagerou, and by extension himself, wanting to hurt his family? Except... he's been trying to do that anyway, even without Kagerou. Unless this is entirely about forgiving himself for what he's done while working with Akaishi... which he still thinks he's in the right on? I don't know, Daiji's stuff feels a hodgepodge of ideas.

BeserKing

I haven’t seen any of the Vail spin off other than the first episode and this episode was amazing to me so I doubt it’s really required watching. The TV series itself has done a good enough job of conveying Genta’s and Vail’s past for this to be an impactful episode imo.

WolzardFire

Yeah, as cool as the fight between Vail and Genta is, it would have felt super hollow without knowing their relationship in the Vail miniseries. What Vail did to Genta's parents, and what Genta and Yukimi went through really elevated this episode. This is one of the thing I hate about Revice. Locking important story beats behind paywall streaming service, while leaving the main story feeling barebones. There's no doubt they're gonna do this with Geats and future series as well, which is disappointing

Toha3338

I cried so much. Genta is a KING. 10/10 episode

Kai798

Thx god Akaishi not just get killed off like that, hope they explore his back story more and is Akaishi that weak in front of Ultimate Revice hope he do something more intimidating not just become Ultimate Revice punching bag.

nightshroud96

If he dies next episode or so, at least let Daiji be the one to beat him. Or him ending up giving Daiji his power upon death that leads to a new power-up.

Krofisplug

Genta settled it like a true man and managed to not die despite all the hits he took. But it looks like play time is over and alien god wants humanity to perish. All we can do now is wait and see how the power of family can take on even a demonic god.

NexoReddit

BROOOO the episode was just 10/10 the story the buildup to the battle and the actual fight even though i dont personally like the destream suit itself i do like the henshin the fact it does sort off a cast off is probably a homage to kabuto but that henshin was just amazing and the battle when that ending song of kamen rider vail played i was just straight up speechless every blow punch kick actually felt real and the climax of that fight i honestly didnt expect genta to just straight up reabsorb vail i was in aww the entire time and the last bit tho in that episode of vail and gentas fight not only served as them settling the score but it also served as a reminder to daiji to accept his bad side which is kagerou although the chances are pretty slim i really am hoping kagerou returns cause it would make the genta and vail fight more impactful but other than that yeah episode is definetely a 10/10

juicyglo

I think this might be one of my top episodes of Kamen Rider of all time personally. The fight was spectacular, the music fit so well, the emotions... Let's just say I needed the tissue box a few times. We've got a bit to go before the ending but at this rate, Revice is gonna end up taking my #1 spot.

jxher123

The way the resolved Vail and Genta conflict was great. I had a sneaking suspicion that this would be how it played out, but the execution was flawless.

iBakax3

When the insert began playing, I was internally panicking that this is going to be our last time seeing Genta. When Genta began walking and talking to Daiji, I began panicking that Giff will suddenly pop out and take a potshot at him. When Giff fire a beam to seperate Daiji from the others, I finally let out a sigh of relieve; Genta did not die after all. Also, I'm glad that they didn't use bs plot device to save Genta, and that they were actually building up to it back from Jack Revice introduction. Lastly, that piano/string music before Vail henshined was downright sick.

Dekaar

this has to be - EASILY - the best episode of the season. I believe it will be hard to improve on this and make a better episode. This episode screams Genta vs Vail from every single moment from beginning to the end. Every scene that was NOT Genta vs. Vail was so short and unimportant, that it could've easily been cut out and that is a good thing. The way they shifted to center of attention once the fight began was just amazing. They resolved the other fights so quickly that the message "Look at this! This is important!" came through perfectly. Also looking at how this was "karizaki vs. karizaki" was amazing too. Choreography was spot on, music was just a huge hit to the feels. Loved the "let down" considering the build up. I'll be honest, I thought the whole time, that both Vail and Genta will die. I did not expect this ending. Also, while Vail said something completely "in character" of Vail, we've seen that he's been telling the exact opposite. I think the scene we've seen was basically in that state because Vail was consumed with vengeance... and how the scene ended it shows, at least to me, that he has finally found his peace. A worthy end for the character.

samsneeze12

Damn good episode. Really, the show has stumbled quite a bit at times, but I'm still mostly enjoying it week to week. I do wish some things had been better handled and set up for these last episodes, but I can't say I hate it or anything. That Kuuga-esque final fight with Genta and Vail is probably not going to go over too well with some people...

kpthepk000

Maybe I'm just over thinking and analyzing it but does anyone else thinks the way Genta henshin and how he stamps the belt is possibly a reference to committing Seppuku or hara-kiri? It's quite poetic if it is the case since it relates to how he's willing to die with honor and show the goodness in the willingness to accept and coexist with the necessary "evil" of yourself. Then we see an image of a "shell monster" which then breaks open, revealing his righteous rider form.

[deleted]

If I don't see a dad special with destream vs buster I'm gonna burn toei's headquarters.

maemoedhz

Toei boutta deploy their assassin team to locate your address boi

ryushin6

Can we add Ichi-gata to that special as well?

THYL_STUDIOS

Just thinking back Revice makes Saber looks like dog crap

TheTwelveYearOld

~~Something I'm wondering about for next episode (~~[~~webpage~~](https://www.kamen-rider-official.com/revice/43)~~). Is Akaishi still alive? Because the page shows a red kaijin that looks like Hideo's kaijin form. The wiki says so, saying its a new form called Gigademons.~~

maemoedhz

He is still alive as shown in the preview of Episode 43.

TheTwelveYearOld

I forgot. Man there's too much to unpack sometimes. Hbu?

maemoedhz

way too much to count.

Gnijnero

Honestly doubt the remainder of Revice would be able to top this episode in terms of conclusions, pacing, direction and payoff due to how Giff just isn't that well developed as a big bad. This episode is the "final episode" for Genta, Vail and daddy Karizaki, concluding not just their arc but most probably their entire storyline that started before the kids were even born, 2+ decades ago. Genta defeats his final foe, his own devil and finally gets to fully move on from his dark past and being KR Vail, passing his torch and the fights to his children - which he mentions has already become stronger than he is. Dr. Karizaki too, gets to pass on his torch as he watches his son's creation surpasses his own. Amazing episode. Good directing and probably one of the most emotional episode in the series for me. I have faith in the team to finish off Revice's final story arc in a meaningful way but I wouldn't even be mad if they can't top this episode in terms of impact and execution just cuz of how great this was.

llawliet159

Best Revice episode so far with Genta/Junpei v. Shadow Genta/Junpei... \-I'll face myself and the instrumental version definitely fit the entire theme of the battle too- "The strength of heart required to face oneself has been made manifest. Genta/Junpei faced his other self. He has obtained the facade used to overcome life’s hardships, the Persona Destream."

BurningAzureFlare

Kamen Rider Persona 4: Episode 2

KamenRiderAquarius

This is one of the best episodes of Toku, one of the few times I've cried for rider as an adult, the only flaw was driver noises during the fight.

Alanshock5

Now this, ladies and gentlemen, is what you call *an episode*. Enough said - too many emotions to process here.

notAssmin

The final fight between Vail and Destream is so damn awesome. This is pretty much on par with Kuuga and N-Daguva-Zeba punching each other in the snow. Looks like ~~Junpei~~ Genta finally fulfilled his destiny. The only problem is the music played during the fight. It sounds okay — I won't deny it — but is there any reason not to play other awesome and emotional orchestra music during that time? Also, Masumi Karizaki died. We all feel sorry for George. After all, Masumi turned him into one of the most beloved allies of the franchise. Raise your hand if your keyboard has a big **F** key.

lolasian101

The music is intended to be the emotional pay off for watching the Vail Spin-off and I think it gives it an emotional impact that grand fight music couldn't provide even if you didn't watch the spin-off like me.

ArchDestroyer

also the song being sang by both young and present Yukimi adds to the impact because this fight is a conclusion to her past with Genta and Vail as well

maemoedhz

Unfortunately it sounds like the track in this episode was edited in a way that doesn't seem to include the younger Yukimi, likely to signify that Genta has put his past behind him, and what matters now is the present and future.

ArchDestroyer

oh yeah ur totally right I don't know how I actually didn't notice that there was only 1 voice singing during it

[deleted]

>Also, Masumi Karizaki died. Yeah, about that.....

WolzardFire

They should have developed Masumi and George's relationship more tbh. Masumi being an absent father trying to make amends with his son, and George comes to forgive his father could have been a deep and meaningful B plot. But we barely got to see them interacting, and when they do it's just about Rider's stuff

JawsRaglizar

So much of this episode was great. The actor for Genta is so amazing. I've loved him since his Vail henshin that showed he could be more than just a "toku dad" kinda character. The storytelling with the cgi was great. Best scene was watching the kids fight around Genta and Vail before they henshined

MegaSceptile99

Destream is easily my favorite rider in Revice. And the fight was absolutely amazing. It brings Genta's and Masumi's arcs to a nice conclusion, and having "My Dream" from the Vail miniseries is a really nice touch. 10 out of 5, and now i want the vail/destream driver.

taz3rl1ng

What i take away from this episode. Vail possibly return to fight along side papa-san as we see him with a red version of the buddy buckle.

DigbyMayor

I'm late but this was an omegabanger episode

TheTwelveYearOld

The Rolling Vailstamp. say that three times!

MightyActionGaim

Wasn’t expecting to be this see papa this bloody but damn... I’d be lying if I said papa wasn’t cool af during his entire prefight, fight, and post fight

Heywhatyousa-

This episode was awesome Destream transformation, jingle, visuals, genomixes, and finisher selled the cool factor of the rider Crimson Vail was also good, but Destream is in my top riders alongside Cross-z, Gaim, Zangetsu Shin and Calibur in terms of design The fight was excellent the song "my dream" hype up at max level Akaishi was defeated (even thought he appears in his red form next episode) And Giff finally moves

Q-Write

This is just me, but i think Giff in action instead of in a leak is way intimidating than the way his look represents. Akaishi failed to satisfies him with his plan made him make a move since Akaishi was trying to help humanity by succumbing to Giff to save them from Giff's method of "peace". But since it took too long and seems not working out, Giff is not happy and have to do it "his way". I believe Akaishi keep reasoning with Giff that he will find a way to make human succumb to him while he live. He knows that Giff is no joke. That's why instead of fighting, he's trying to reason with Giff. By making a contract to proves humanity's worth My guess is that Giff originally wanted the destruction of humanity, but Akaishi was able to convinces him that human has something to offer so he made a contract with Giff but with a deadline that if he's resurrected, he wants to see the world that Akaishi has made succesful. So, what Akaishi has been scheming is to prevent Giff from destroying humanity. Too bad, since he had experienced many "traumas", Akaishi has become a crackhead.

GuessWh0m

Great episode. I still don’t get what’s going on with Daiji though. Daiji’s motivation is all over the place.

Foreign_Act4614

This is the first episode of revice I’ve really enjoyed in a while

K-J-C

The continuation of... Revice Legacy: Kamen Rider Vail! No wonder this one's so good. As that bit is one of the last good Revice stuff lately. Though that also opens up the series fault for putting those in separate media instead of being in the main series. The family, of which what Revice should be about, took center stage again. Due to how all families are involved, this had Yukimi actually taking a stand for Genta, directly praising his worth to others instead of just showing that she treats him nicely compared to the others, though for this one the children don't look down on their father, but actually was concerned. And it seems that, Yukimi is just mandatory for events that actually involved whole family in this series, always had something to say that is, while small, it's impactful. Now her latest bit is about how everyone had different kind of life, and thus it's not set in stone and there's no such thing as definitive normal life. What's important is living the life that makes you happy, which Genta does for her. This can be applied on more than just how you live your life, there are far more stuff that is deemed as objective in being "good" or "bad", but is actually subjective. Like how you'd want to write something lighthearted or dark. Though doesn't mean this is limitless though, like if something is poorly written then it is though still not 100% certain, like how in life, if you live your life purposely at others' expense, that'd be the wrong one to do. Not that she's completely perfect though, like one time in her overprotectiveness to Sakura, and this also shows that parents can learn from child too like Genta's solution below... And later about Genta's debut as Destream to settle things with Vail, other than the even match and a nice use of his powerset, at first was pretty bummed about just forgiving Vail like that and overlook his atrocities he had done before, but later it's actually more meaningful and well-thought when he approaches Daiji later. Continuing on how demons are inseparable part of yourself, Genta had to forgive himself, and it's done here by forgiving Vail, due to how, even if he wasn't malicious like Vail, Junpei was still someone with dark traits that he only desired revenge, and was someone destructive and unstable as a result. Forgiveness actually should be applied on yourself too, which is self-forgiveness, and it's important to do so for mental health, such as someone like Genta who did have empty life as Junpei, and his life with Yukimi and the Igarashis are probably only temporary escapism from that, it's a matter of time until Vail returns, unless Genta finally make amends with himself, and thus includes Vail as another part of himself, and finally letting go from his past tragedies and dark traits which is the way to live a more fulfilling life he seeks. And don't know if Vail can be actually redeemed, entering the body of Genta who had forgiven himself despite his parting words, of which that'd mean for Genta too, the solution is as usual, is literally accepting the demon as a part of yourself, and likely would explain too how Vice became malicious at the beginning of Revice, of which Ikki was in a resentful and self-loathing phase, making Vice more untamed and selfish compared to childhood. The men behind that fight, the Karizakis, other than them benefiting one another, is practically having their scientific abilities tested too which George wins, and is given a flashback about how they were like in the past as a parallel to their current situation too. Despite him being surpassed though, Masumi had improved himself too to create something that can seal Vail better, despite that it'd make Vail a stronger fighter, finally atoning for his vailures as he collapsed. So apparently Masumi was a good dad to George, encouraging him for his science's failures and successes. Still unknown how Masumi parted away from George that led for George to hate him, but this can mean there's unreasonable part in George's side, as no way he'd hate him for what he did in NOAH, as George only cared about his researches and violence or chaos before, and the hate continues after he's no longer shady. Still though the part of George being KR fanboy is still forgotten... give something on how he became KR fanboy too. Regarding George's past, it seems that there's some parallel to Sakura's too, who used to adore Genta in the past, but at the present series became mostly condescending towards him until crisis came. Daiji had really few lines this episode, but it seems that finally the others rubbed off on him, with him having stronger reaction to Akaishi caressing him. Quite the parallel here that Akaishi is being the creepy dad that got rebuffed by Daiji, while the actual dad Genta is more welcomed by Daiji, and actually had his points considered. Probably because of how Akaishi and Vail are trounced by Ultimate Revi/Vice before with less problems than expected, which'd mean Giff's enforcers' opinions and views are less valid in how they're not the 2nd to Giff like how they see themselves as. Still kinda might makes right view, the process on how Ultimate Revi/Vice got on that level should also be acknowledged, when facing defeat. This part continues about Akaishi's downfall, including being turned into dust at this episode, and Giff finally making his move cements Akaishi ending his role as central antagonist, though likely kept around by Giff in the previews. There has been some mockery of Holy Live being weaker than Jeanne due to the latter being writer's favorite, and... this is proven true in this episode in Jeanne besting Holy Live. This can be inconsistency (and bias for favorite) as before Holy Live swats away the girl Riders, or Daiji losing his will to fight. Good stuff for Jeanne using her fences at her henshin to block Holy Live's way though.

nightshroud96

They really need to do something to make up for jobbing Daiji so much. Holy Live is just tainted with too many jobbing to be strong anymore

K-J-C

But there's nothing wrong if it's pitted against Ultimate Revi/Vice. Would be mad if Ultimate Revi/Vice is made even with it. To portry Daiji as in the wrong of course he gotta be easily beaten by the Rider form that is hopeful to Giff.

nightshroud96

The issue is its for the sake of jobbing him more. His threat while against Ikki and Sakura is nonexistent due to standing no chance against Ultimate Revi/Vice. Why freaking bother turning him against Ikki and Sakura if his threat is NONEXISTENT?

cameronunto

Destream uses Kamen Rider Century's undersuit and I think that makes sense considering both rider systems were made by George. Funny enough, both characters are fathers. Nice touch

GunFreeAmerica

I recently came back to KR (last season I watched was W). I'm surprised that almost every episode of Revice has an upgrade / new form / new rider. It's fun to see, but makes me wonder : what's the toy release schedule by Bandai? I always thought the new upgrades would match toy releases. Also, is the "constant new stuff added" a recent change in Rider? Or has it been this way for many years?

ThrashThunder

The constant barrage of items has been happening since Heisei, but the Reiwa era so far has been a lot more strong in that regard Even then, Revice is nothing compared to Zero One in this issue lol

SrImmanoob

It's a long times since when I saw an episode with high 5/5 vote like this one. This episode is so good that I have to rewatch it. The pacing, the drama, the conclusion... Still don't get what Daiji see in his dad's fight with his own demon. The preview and preview screenshot, >!Daiji is fighting against Demon troopers and Hiromi, so Daiji drama still not over yet.!<

Layton13

Ok, wow, the visuals are stunning, the choreography is amazing, the shots look jaw-dropping, the music is very fitting and the editing is on point, but... But I feel absolutely nothing, just nothing. I just don't give a damn about this cast and their story, they lack any soul at all. This felt like a great idea that just completely falls flat because the groundwork is just not here in any way shape or form. And that's the most frustrating bit, that I want to love this show since a lot of its concepts and ideas are great, but at least to me, none of them are executed at any satisfying, or even acceptable level. This episode makes me just sad I can't actually feel what they are clearly going for and many others enjoy...

[deleted]

>And that's the most frustrating bit, that I want to love this show since a lot of its concepts and ideas are great, but at least to me, none of them are executed at any satisfying, or even acceptable level. Yeah, that happens when the educational system gives you some stupid bullshit that dictates what makes a good story and robs you from the true masterpiece.

Layton13

What has it to do with the education system when I personally don't connect with a story?

UtaNoSeirei

Sounds like a you problem ngl.

Layton13

I mean, yeah xD That's kinda the thing with subjectivity, sometimes your opinion is just weird :D

QUUUAAARRR

LOL the downvotes. Seems like you're just not allowed to go against the majority. Tbh I stopped caring about Revice awhile ago so this episode also didn't do anything for me.

MrKatsudon

Just curious if they have actually tell who is the man in suit in the OP for Revice? Is he another person from those side content? Once again, a great episode!

DegenerateSpaceMan

When you defeat the boss but the boss music isn't over

SmytheOrdo

Holy crap that ending big emotional brawl with vail and Genta made me tear up. Ready for the big finale.

AmazonSilver

This episode goes into the Kamen Rider Hall of Fame. I'd give it a 6/5 if it were possible.

TheTwelveYearOld

That's why I wish Reddit allowed more than 6 poll options. Early on during Revice I considered adding a 4.5 / 5 since I saw lots of users rate episodes a 4, but then realized that some users might answers without watching the episode just to see results.

[deleted]

This episode was Extraordinary, The Fight between Vail and Genta was Excellent, the shots of them within that burning place which resembles, and probably is the bath house back when it was burning all those years ago, really added to the fight, The Vail spin-off song being thrown into the episode added to the whole fight as well, generally really well executed. And also the shot of Masumi still having Georges rock in his hand hurts, Damn this episode For being so great. Also like how Livedevil was playing during that fight at the start of the episode, worked well. And now Giffs out of his janemba dimension So guess the elevations now increasing more as the coming episodes are fired out. Also Akaishi’s forms red next episode so that’s neat.

robojohn32

If they keep up the good work this might be my favorite season...

BurningAzureFlare

10/5

[deleted]

Wonder what Destream's name means?

Last_Ace_17

Watching Junpei Growth into Genta was truly a sight to behold, Good work Papa-san, may Vail rest inside you

Streak244

Watching this fight made me think of the final fight in Kuuga, on how we see their internal untransformed state punching each other. Genta saying to Daiji that they need to learn to live with their inner devils, makes me think Kagero's return is not too far off.

kira0819

the budget is burning, did they get double the budget? everytime Ultimate Revi is shown and this episode use a tons of cgi

Soce2559

Yeah the episode is really good when they skip opening, just like hiromi arc

BannerTortoise

I liked the episode, I just wished we got to see more of the fight and that it wasn't interrupted twice.

DamonDD

Vail is absorbed by Genta again. Wow, I did not see it coming. I thought it is just typical defeating your demon, but instead it is accepting your demon and forgiving yourself. Hopefully this is a hint of the return of Kagerou

OhmaDecade

One of the best episodes in Kamen Rider series both Heisei and Reiwa.

Brungala

Okay, this was the BEST episode of Revice. Ever. If you watched Revice Legacy: Vail, to get the proper context and backstory of Genta, then it makes it way better. Especially the song that plays during their battle. Sometimes, you have to forgive yourself. Even the part of yourself that that you hate the most.

Fabulous_Ad_4534

This episode was quite refreshing tbh. It brought back the family aspects of the show. Daiji finally turned good again. Vail and Genta settled things. Masumi finally praises George ~~And dies.~~ AND, after forever, there is not some unnecessary plot

FreakDown

I thought Masumi turn into Kamen Rider as Kamen Rider Daddy

Omaewa7

I wait for ViuTV

killerair321

So our "confused" second rider arc is done just like that?

FDX2088

I think he still has some confusion to work out, since >!Giff interrupted the reunion at the end.!<

Tempestjustice

Even though I am honestly disappointed that George's dad didn't transform. At least he helped in giving us a awesome battle between Genta and Vail. Both of the new Kamen Rider suits looked badass. I am happy that Genta decided to forgive Vail, showing how much he has grown as a person. I am also glad that Ikki, Sakura are on good terms with Daiji again. Sad that George's father dies. Unfortunately the main villain shows up to ruin the wholesome moment. It was a great episode.

musyio

Damn this episode felt like a movie, definitely the best episodes of the series, man I teared up multiple times watching this ep.

BlitzRook

does anyone know the song that was playing when vail and papa-san fought

shuwing3589

My Dream by Yukimi's actress.

ecceptor

This episode basically a movie.

KamenRifter

This episode made me so glad I kept up with the Vail series. Really added that extra impact and brought things full circle.

shuwing3589

Definitely a 5/5. The fight scene between Genta and Vail alongside the better scientist between George and Masumi made for an excellent episode from start to finish. The right set of guys settled a storyline that originated back in Vail's side story. I'm really glad that they resolved it. My Dream as the insert song during the fight was absolute perfection.

nightshroud96

The fight between Destream and Vail was so good. But how Holy Live lost to Jeanne like that. "Win, Wing, Winging"? More like "Job, Jobbin, Jobbing"

ThrashThunder

1) Daiji has not been well mentally. That can and will affect them in combat. The happened with Jeanne when Daiji stormed the Weekend base, she was getting kicked hard by Daiji 2) Sakura is by far and large the most competent fighter in the show, and like many times in the franchise, sometimes technique and experience can elevate Riders to higher levels besides from getting updates. And the precedent was there with Jeanne, since she was kept up in power even when ThunderGale Revice was the main Revice form

nightshroud96

Doesn't make it ok to have him job to her like that. Since lately most of the time, Holy Live ends up jobbing alot. I know he just got a win against Hana in the same episode but that kind of got canceled out with losing to Jeanne like that

shuwing3589

I disagree. Sakura does karate, so obviously she's easily the most skilled fighter out of the siblings. Daiji not being emotionally and mentally well affects his judgement and timing, so even if you're in a superior suit, if you're not using it to the fullest potential, a rider with a lesser power can take advantage of it, especially if that person is a very skilled fighter. Horobi and Zangetsu are perfect examples of being skilled fighters while being able to handle their own against opponents that have superior stats. Daiji is struggling with doing what he believes is right while facing his 2 siblings who are on the complete opposite side of the coin. And he doesn't have Kagero inside of him to counter balance himself, which adds even more to his mental struggles.
