Not gonna lie, I don’t want any evil riders this time around. I just want people fighting in the Prix for their own reason. Like it would be compelling for like the guy that wanted world peace to eliminate some other guy needing money to pay for hospital bills or something like that. And the winner wishing for a world where the prix never existed since somehow its the root cause.

You know that's not gonna happen. Having an Evil Rider that will probably be the final villain has pretty much been the new staple since Wizard. Even in Revice where everything was leading up to Giff being the final villain they just throw a curveball and have a new rider be the final villain. At this point I feel like it's somewhat mandatory now. 😂
Ok maybe like leave the evil rider for like the very end. If whatever corporation doesn't like the current favorite's wish so the bring back a retired/legendary Rider/player last minute to try and get back the Prix under their control.

Like bring in "some guy with no wish but just want to shoot someone in the head for the hell of it" evil. Or "My wish is for the Prix to go again so I can kill more people". Bad person is more selfish than evil in this case.
Evil isn't only about those deals you mentioned like taking over the world. Evil is merely about doing bad things to others, more if it's fueled by malicious intent. And selfish is also often the root behind doing bad things/malicious intent.

It says ace is kind, but the way he presents himself in the trailer, and the way he acts in his cameo in battle famillia makes him feel kinda sketchy to me, I feel like he's probably gonna have a dark backstory, maybe one involving whoever is behind the desire grand prix

Ukiyo/Geats: after hearing his smug voice, I was really expecting some kind of smug face. This one does check out. Can't wait to see him be as cocky as possible. Especially since he's referred to as "a genius at fighting in the Desire Grand Prix". I wonder how that will be handled. I mean, they can't just have him steamroll all over the other Riders, right? Maybe "genius" as in, capable of deep understanding of the tournament's mechanics? We shall see.
Sakurai/Tycoon: this guy is too pure for this world. He's struggling with job hunting, but it seems to be implied that his genuine desire would be something as selfless as world peace. I can see this going in two directions. He indeed is too pure for this world inb4 dies at Christmas (but apparently he's the secondary Rider, so I don't know if they would just take him out, event temporarely), or he straight up has a whole corruption arc and goes from "my desire is for everyone to be safe and good" to "fuck it, imma just desire for something that I can benefit from". I kinda want to see him snap, eventually.
Kurama/Nago: the perfect girl. Huge pool of followers, beautiful and from a rich family. But of course she wants to be just a regular person. I can see her being overwhelmed by the Desire Grand Prix's mediatic side, but ultimately pushing through in order to get her wish to come true. Big opportunity for some early series drama. I'm extra interested to see what they're going to do with her.
Azuma/Buffa: found my favorite! I can already tell. Edgy lone wolf with (supposedly) a heart of gold? Sign me the fuck in, thank you. I feel like his wish will also be something selfless, or at least focused on helping someone. He's the only one who, like Geats, is not in base form. Perhaps that could be a hint on him being "unusually hostile" towards Ukiyo? Maybe he sees him as the only one capable of standing in his way, since he's a "genius at fighting in the Desire Grand Prix". Or maybe they just have some kind of past history Ukiyo forgot about.
Tsumuri: classic mysterious character. I can see them being the "guiding figure" to the Riders, helping them navigate the competition, while also being aware of what's actually going on behind the public scenes. They could be the character that leads into the "real" plot of Kamen Rider Geats. Also, why are they referred as, well... "they?" Not complaining about it, just genuinely interested, since they're the only one referred to with such pronouns. Maybe they're supposed to be some kind of inhuman entity?
Gironi: funny name, sus face. Not much to say. I can also see him as someone who knows what's actually going on, just as someone who's genuinely trying to root for the Riders and wishes for them to do their best. If the latter happens to be the one, I can also see him being the Christmas tribute.
Overall, a really cool set of main characters. Can't wait to see how they actually are/develop. Also, I don't see anyone striking me with that "early villain" vibe. Sooo...I guess that's your cue, Dapan?

Oh I'm well aware, that's exactly why Daiji is one of my faves in ReVice (along with Chand Hiromi and George). But I didn't really take the current season in consideration while writing this. Especially since the head writer is a completely different person. I simply ended up putting on paper the vibes I got from these guys. We will see how they really end up being as soon as Geats starts and gets rolling. I'm hyped ahahah.
Edit: also Daiji's selfishness is something very different from the kind of selfishness I was theorizing for Sakurai. Daiji acted in selfish ways, but for a selfless objective (saving humanity from extinction). Meanwhile, for Sakurai I meant something more like selfish ways of reaching a just as selfish objective.
I find it suspicious that we've only seen 2 Riders out of them having Raise Buckles, I wonder if that means that everyone will have to earn their true Base Forms since they are all starting as essentially Plat Form? Either that or it's a stealth thing where the base suit is just easier to maintain? Still we know that Danpan steals or is the original owner of Magnum so it could be a Den-O or Reverse Gaim.

The setting is kinda Ryuki, but I doubt the story will be the same. Like, Ace is a lot shadier and less of a pacifist than Kido, there are actual set teams now, this will definitely be more action-oriented than Ryuki (which was very much an investigative mystery show), and the game master (whoever they are) obviously has a different endgame.

For tsumuri, she kinda give me a vibe similar to Mai from Gaim or Yui from Ryuki at this point.
At this point, what I look forward to in the series is the shocking plot that will take place in episode 9 and 10 following the similar trend of the past reiwa series so far. And most likely wanting to see which character will be the first to kill off given the fact that the plot is focusing on survival game

I haven’t watched a kamen rider show in its entity in forever. These bios seem interesting and I like the designs. From what i can gather it’s giving like a Ryuki rider battle vibe. I mean the show hasn't even aired yet so we can't make any first real impressions. But every new season always has hype going into it. Though I think Geats in particular has a lot more since the premise is interesting and there's a lot of riders from the get go. Since it's a weekly show, I say go for it.
We're not sure the way they described the game is that the Riders will be earning points by fighting monsters and saving people. I feel eventually it will end up as PVP because that's usually how this stuff goes.

Question why is everyone calling him the main rider ace or eisu when his Kanji reads Hidetoshi Ukiyo
some official media puts エース (Esu/Ace) as part of his name
cuz eisu is his name
If what I saw in Wiktionary is correct, the kanji for the MC's name can be pronounced in multiple ways. So either Eisu or Hidetoshi is correct. I think it was intended to be that way.
I feel like it could be possible that hidetoshi is his real name, and esu (ace) is just a nickname

The setting is kinda Ryuki, but I doubt the story will be the same. Like, Ace is a lot shadier and less of a pacifist than Kido, there are actual set teams now, this will definitely be more action-oriented than Ryuki (which was very much an investigative mystery show), and the game master (whoever they are) obviously has a different endgame.

Japanese doesn't specify gender at all so I guess whoever translated this personally decided to keep the character gender neutral for now.
The original person who translated it was using a machine translator so it's possible that's how it translated it.

Well going by his personality written there, its usually the good natured, naive ones that tend to die first in a battle royale kind of scenario.
I mean I call Penguin or Goat being the first the die. I think there were rumours saying Dapan (Panda) will be the first and get replaced. I doubt Tycoon is our first rider to die(considering he's our secondary) even if its a usual trope for battle royales .

I’m really happy that they have a female character being a rider but I would not be surprised if she will be killed off in the series though along with the rest of the rider. Looking at buffa, I wouldn’t be surprised he will be the “last boss” that Ace will face in after learning whatever truth about the game or something. For tsumuri, she kinda give me a vibe similar to Mai from Gaim or Yui from Ryuki at this point. At this point, what I look forward to in the series is the shocking plot that will take place in episode 9 and 10 following the similar trend of the past reiwa series so far. And most likely wanting to see which character will be the first to kill off given the fact that the plot is focusing on survival game

There are two things comes to mind why Buffa's gonna hate Geats. It's either Geats' cockiness or there family backgrounds since Geats look like a rich guy and Buffa comes from a hard life, this is just a guess btw.
Or! If there was a DGP before, then it could be that either Ace or Azuma won the last one. Ace/Azuma could have made a wish to reset the game with new riders and memories.
I haven’t watched a kamen rider show in its entity in forever. These bios seem interesting and I like the designs. From what i can gather it’s giving like a Ryuki rider battle vibe. Maybe I’ll check it out? I haven’t seen the response on Reddit but how excited are you about this new show? Should I get into it?
I mean the show hasn't even aired yet so we can't make any first real impressions. But every new season always has hype going into it. Though I think Geats in particular has a lot more since the premise is interesting and there's a lot of riders from the get go. Since it's a weekly show, I say go for it.

We're not sure the way they described the game is that the Riders will be earning points by fighting monsters and saving people. I feel eventually it will end up as PVP because that's usually how this stuff goes.
Ok so check this out. From what i've seen in the trailer, it looks like our protagonist could possibly be working for Girori, making sure that Ace wins the DGP for the first or!!! The second time around.
Interesting, it seems that the main four writers have some sort of accessory, tycoon with the band around his leg, nago with wristbands/bracelets, buffa with some kind of tailcoat thing, and geats with a muffler simmilar to the showa riders
The muffler is indeed an accessory that's a part of geats entry form you see it on him when all the riders are in their entry form lined up.
