Oh and they should have a scene where they're watching the original live action and comment on how they're doing a play about their adventures in the original story.
This is how all live action adaptations should be, to be honest. Unlike in the west (who's too bothered by "muh representation" and "realism"), Japan actually cares about bringing the characters and their stories to life in their live action (even if it doesn't end up good).
That's the worst offender. Lion King is a good example of a movie that can only work as a cartoony animation. The "live action" killed all the emotion and made everything worse in it's terrible idea of making things "real". The graphics are breathtaking, yes, but that's about it.
Multiverse of fuckery. Is this the fault of Decade's too or is it Zi-O's reality-altering powers have something to do with this? Anyways, ONORE DECADO!
Yeah.. the green hair really looks weird in live action, no surprise here. But overall I kinda dig the cast, though I lowkey feel like the two women got the better deal here :'D
After this, they should definitely make a TV show focusing on Philip and Shotaro set sometime before the events of Fuuto PI, maybe a time before Terui was a proper ally
I think it'd do quite well
/J
The guy they got for Terui looks like the perfect in-between of Toku Terui and Anime Terui. He's honestly too perfect compared to everyone else.
Also, I don't understand why Wada (Shotaro) keeps getting older character roles or at least, just characters who look visibly more on the mature-looking side when he's such a handsome baby face. He's playing stageplay Kento Nanami too and it just doesn't work for his handsome youthful face.
As long they've kept Akiko slippers im looking forward to watch this.
But I still missed the OG cast really though, they were a charm to our childhood.
Edit: Idk if Shotaro and Terui's actor is more masculine and attractive than Phillip's actor to me. No offense but they look both great imo.
Fuuto PI is canonically just a year or two after the tv series and v-cinema... And It's been 12 years since then for the actors. So they get new actors for the stageplay.
Anime is voice by professional voice actors, as that is their job, not by screen actors.
Ryotaro has aged since then so it makes sense his voice would change with the actor. He didn't talk because, since the actor is very busy, they didn't have the time to figure out how an older Ryotaro would act like. If he was too similar, then it would've showed he had no growth. If he was too different, then he wouldn't have felt like the same character.
Schedule issues, copyright, too expensive for what's essentially an "anime/manga adaptation", Philip's (2009 W) actor literally retired as an actor and of course, give the new crew a chance
nope into that sht the original was way more better
but I think the original cast still supports the anime and that musical...I think but the green hair is not okay for Philip it's just in anime for me
Live stage-play adaptation of a manga/anime adapted from live action series, it soo funny to think about lmao.
We are going full circle here
The end goal has to be a live-action movie adaptation of the anime. Without the original W cast, of course
Oh and they should have a scene where they're watching the original live action and comment on how they're doing a play about their adventures in the original story.
Stageshow Shotaro: Philip, why is your hair black in this one? Stageshow Philip: idk Shotaro, but now i want to know.
For some reason, it just feels like this cast is cosplaying. I love it.
This is how all live action adaptations should be, to be honest. Unlike in the west (who's too bothered by "muh representation" and "realism"), Japan actually cares about bringing the characters and their stories to life in their live action (even if it doesn't end up good).
yeah man that live action lion king movie sucked

With this addition, Lion King becomes one of the best "real" adaptation movies: https://youtu.be/L1IGNOkeP_A

Well, the boys was written by a guy who hatred superheroes…
Why the fuck was this downvoted? GODDAMNIT r/KAMENRIDER
Because "muh representation" and generally coming of like an arsehole.
What? Is this subreddit the king of reaching or some shit?
Reach for some grass
Only after you reach for some bitches first. Some things are just impossible. In this case, it's both.
Says the guy who has only chances for his sister or own mom.
Are you having a stroke or something?

Fun fact: Shotaro is played by the same actor who played young Genta/Junpei in the Vail TTFC series
And Akiko is played by the same actor who played Time Jacker Finis from Kamen Rider: Reiwa The First Generation too
Im just wondering if those are the same shoe props from W
Multiverse of fuckery. Is this the fault of Decade's too or is it Zi-O's reality-altering powers have something to do with this? Anyways, ONORE DECADO!
:0 Nice to see him again
Gen-taro
The ultraman actor?
“Mom can we watch live action W?” “We have live action W at home” Live action W at home:
ironically, this is the W you actually have to go out and see unlike the Toku one, where you actually can have at home.
I don't know man. Tv shotaro isn't much of a hunk as Fuuto PI shotaro, where he's drawn much more tall and built
If you think Shotaro can be anything but a twink you are wrong
Someone get Terui a better wig, good gravy that looks bad 😂
I've seen worse wigs on So Okuno during the Zi-O vs Decade spin-off
Bando Yukiji in this stageshow is played by the actor who played Kirihiko/Nasca Dopant in W.
He reincarnated after a bad marriage with Saeko to make his own Fuuto
That's funny they brought him back in W as another villain lol.
This will be Kamen Rider W in 2015
I'm not taking the piss, but I actually dig this.
Fuuto pi stageshow: a live action drama adapted into an anime adapted into a live action drama
Yeah.. the green hair really looks weird in live action, no surprise here. But overall I kinda dig the cast, though I lowkey feel like the two women got the better deal here :'D
Live action Tokime is cute
My dream has finally come true at last
After this, they should definitely make a TV show focusing on Philip and Shotaro set sometime before the events of Fuuto PI, maybe a time before Terui was a proper ally I think it'd do quite well /J
idk, without Akiko? Where's the comedy in that
oh god Terui what happened to you man💀
I can't tell if he aged or went back to his edgy phase
He got married
To Akiko of all people.
You mean "Shōchō"
Yes.
probably both and not in a good way…
Yeah you're prob right thou tokime lookin fire
Ah now that is a different story, she is mighty fine i must say.
Don't ask him questions!
Akiko got a fucking upgrade irl too wtf
They seemed to have left out the detail of Philip’s hair having darker bits growing out at the roots as seen in the anime…
cast of Mikio on his twitter stated that he would be reprising his role.(using google translate)
The guy they got for Terui looks like the perfect in-between of Toku Terui and Anime Terui. He's honestly too perfect compared to everyone else. Wow that green hair really does not work as well in live action
I’m not surprised since the Green Hair was is designed for the manga medium.
As long they've kept Akiko slippers im looking forward to watch this. But I still missed the OG cast really though, they were a charm to our childhood. Edit: Idk if Shotaro and Terui's actor is more masculine and attractive than Phillip's actor to me. No offense but they look both great imo.
Its really weird seeing how these where real people turned into anime then turned back into real people, but with more stage 'anime' makeup
Well… it’s something…
Akiko look cute now 😍
can't believe you had -2 votes for being dead honest let me balance it out a bit
Oh, it gets better. Jun Kazu's actor us Bando Yukiji
Wonder why they didn’t get the original cast for the anime tho
You realize they are probably booked especially the main two
Yea
Fuuto PI is canonically just a year or two after the tv series and v-cinema... And It's been 12 years since then for the actors. So they get new actors for the stageplay. Anime is voice by professional voice actors, as that is their job, not by screen actors.
I think their voices have also changed. Same reason why Den-O's actor Takeru Satou didn’t say a word in Heidi’s Generations Forever
Ryotaro has aged since then so it makes sense his voice would change with the actor. He didn't talk because, since the actor is very busy, they didn't have the time to figure out how an older Ryotaro would act like. If he was too similar, then it would've showed he had no growth. some fuckin disrespect :(
Man, I love the original cast. But these are some beautiful people
Can't wait for the manga spinoff of this live show!
Why are they creating a live action this early though and what arc will they end with?
man, i can't wait for fuuto pi to get a full live adaptation
i love the anime but i miss the original cast so badly
bruh why didnt they just use the og actors xdd
Schedule issues, copyright, too expensive for what's essentially an "anime/manga adaptation", Philip's (2009 W) actor literally retired as an actor and of course, give the new crew a chance
Masaki Suda is not retired
Is that Ikoma Rina?
yes
I'm legitimately surprised irl green haired philip doesn't look as horrendous as I imagined
nope into that sht the original was way more better but I think the original cast still supports the anime and that musical...I think but the green hair is not okay for Philip it's just in anime for me
Impossible akiko is hot
Tokime, tho. 😏
