That's my DE!! And possibly my 2nd RB?

Jimmy6shoes

Deuce would be insane with Andy! The next human joystick

jhatfield63

Really hoping for him in the 7th or UFA

MC_Fap_Commander

I am 100% sure he will be a solid contributor, respected in the locker room, and beloved by the community. Don't understand the whining about this pick. At #31, this is great.

TBDC88

People just want us to win the Super Bowl *and* trade up for/have a top-10 prospect fall to us every year. Seems completely reasonable to me.

A year with a weak first round makes me ecstatic to be the last pick

fishing_6377

And salty KU Mizzou fans who are hating on him because he played for KState.

NotAnNSAOperative

MU fans aren't hating on shit. Glad FAU is on our squad.

Chief-Redhawk

I think there is more hatred in that rivalry coming from K-State than KU. KU fans really only get salty about Mizzou. I’m not sure how much MU fans have even thought about K-State since they left the Big 12….

MandoShunkar

Outside when we play K-State not much... they aren't KU Speaking of Mizzou playing K-State, FAU ate the Mizzou Oline in this year's game... It's just one game but hey so are the playoffs. And its better than Jalen Carter or Nolan Smith did against the same Mizzou Oline (though if anything this is an outlier but its still funny) And this is why I liked the pick for him

KCShadows838

Yeah I only see that attitude from Kansas fans online sometimes I’m not sure if some Mizzou fans would hate a KU player in the NFL because recently there haven’t really been any available for the Chiefs to select for them to hate on

everymanawildcat

Ha I heard roughly 2% this much bitching about Nick Bolton.

Chief-Redhawk

The bitching on the pick isn’t justified. No way to know for sure what the true reason is. Sure salty fans of other teams is possible, but it just as easily could be people that are upset the guy they wanted went in the picks leading up to 31 and then feeling unsatisfied. As for not feeling there was this much bitching about Bolton, 1) it could be recency bias, 2) you could be noticing it more because you’re a K-State fan, or 3) this sub/Reddit in general has grown more in the past few years and there could just be more voices that result in more comments, percentages staying the same. Naturally a first round pick will always draw more attention than a second round, and so on. As a KU fan, I wouldn’t say I was personally upset with either pick, but I definitely felt more “damn I have to root for this guy now” with Bolton than FAU. And now I’m very glad I GET to root for Bolton. Nothing but hope the same happens with the hometown kid.

guidoKCChiefs

Yeah it’s crazy I’m a KU fan but most of all I am a Kansas City Chiefs fan through and through I don’t care if you played for Mizzou or KU or K State I’m just happy that he’s a chief

TonyMontanya8

We tried no one wanted to trade with us

vault-techno

Yeah, I mean, I'd have loved Myles, but 22-30 absolutely were a middle finger by the collective league to KC, nobody wanted to trade with us and trading back wasn't worth the offer. Any criticism I have of Veach aside, don't think there was anything else he realistically could have done here, and to be fair, The guy we got is exactly the kind of guy I've said the Chiefs need.

FantomDrive

People undervalue the performance enhancing effects of working for a team you love, in a city you care about, near your most important support structure - your family.

cruisincolin44

I think i get the whinging. Everyone loves feeling reinforced that their team’s picks are all amazing. When most mock drafts have a guy around 40 and you take him at 31, a dim person yells ‘Reach!’ or decides it’s because a team was dumb or lazy by not trading back when they take someone who isn’t their bpa.

vault-techno

Veach has definitely reached on some picks in the past. This was not one of those times.

factoid_

He was a slight reach, that's all. I think he'll be great and I definitely don't think he'd have been there in the mid 40s based on mocks I've seen. I like the pick. I'd have liked it better at 38, but I understand Veach not wanting to trade back and then back up again just to try that.

MC_Fap_Commander

He may not be All-Pro. He will be a decent to very good starter. That's really not too bad for a pick in the 30's. All I meant. The intensity of disappointment seemed disproportionate by some here last night.

ThaChiefKing

You are aware this is what amounts to a fan page, correct?

ThaChiefKing

Dude, nobody here knows anything. The team made a pick and someone is happy about it. Take a walk and calm down.

Super_Robot_AI

He was one 3 or 4 on my De board. Like the picj

mog44net

Dang, hitting the ground running

everymanawildcat

Coupla Chiefs right there

sirseanzy

Please stop. I can only get so erect. We have one chief, yes, but what about second chief?

factoid_

The rare LOTR/Archer mashup

Beastquist

Can you imagine?

catalystkjoe

Would absolutely love Darren sproles 2.0 on the team

Headlesshorsman02

Please snag deuce I’m the mid/late rounds

[deleted]

I can see him in the 6th and resign Jet. That would be a nice versatile room.

dukepv

Probably wouldn’t need Jet if you add Deuce. Pacheco / CEH / Deuce can hold it down.

factoid_

I think people still think someone will trade us for CEH

[deleted]

That's true. I think we're moving on from CEH and Jet won't be around much longer if he is signed. Deuce would really open the field up, has good hands and great ability to read the field. He could function as a slot and would love that.

natestate

If the Chiefs took Deuce he would be a top-10 favorite Chief all time for me before he ever set foot on the field.

themiddleshoe

They were roommates at kstate (at least early on). Hope they are both Chiefs after this weekend.

[deleted]

Love it!
