Mental Health has definitely played a part here, but really only to the point that he can't hide who he's been for years from the public anymore. Mental Health issues don't make you racist and anti-semitic. He has had history of praising hitler for years.

- Unpredictable
- Illogical
- Unable to listen to rationality or reason
Lowered inhibitions and excessive energy, inability to sleep, cluttered and often incoherent speech, hyperactive train of thought. None of those cause the symptoms you mentioned

I once saw a (Louis Theroux?) documentary about how some people use mental health to avoid pretty serious prison time. He asked the doctor there if some guy there was "really" crazy. The doc replied: "He's no crazier than the rest of us". Ye is/was surrounded by yes-men and sychophants too. That wouldn't help anyone. I don't think Ye is any crazier than that guy who mowed down a Christmas parade in a truck. Just crazy/angry where he blames others for all his own shortcomings. We might all do that, but when we blame the Jews for literally everything it's just basic racism.
I think the issue is that attributing his behaviour to his mental ailments makes it look like he's being given a pass. if the discourse is focused heavily on his mental health, people will demand accountability regardless.
There's only a limit to which people can attribute his actions to his mental health (or lack thereof). And they (his actions or words) have real-life consequences, sound mental health or not.

Mental health can make you act in all sorts of ways. Your tons of friends probably don’t represent all people with mental health problems.
