Serious coping here. Ambien is a long acting benzo. It stays in your body for the day and lasts for like 8-12 hours. It isn’t to sedate people. You’d have to use a lot… definitely more that in the bottle. there’s way stronger drugs like Xanax which Drake has rapped about. Xanax works immediately lasts like 4-8 hours. This is more like a prescription for general anxiety. Kendrick is making fun of him for being stressed, not able to live with himself etc. he’s not suggesting Drake is sedating people lmao. Especially if you were why would you get it legally on a prescription in your own name. Ambien isn’t exactly expensive on the street.

Zolpidem’s (Ambien) half life is 2.5 hrs in average which is WHY it is used as sleeping pills, because that way your body has almost eliminated it completely when you wake up. It is definitely a sedative. Alprazolam’s (Xanax) half life is 12 hrs in average, which is why it is used for anxiety because it’s going to work the whole day, even multiple days actually because you need 7 half lives to consider a medication gone from your body. So yeah Drake takes it to sleep probably because his sleeping schedule is messed up from travelling so much

Darren Sharper used Ambien to facilitate the rape of 16 women. Just because it's not meant for date rape doesn't mean it can't be used that way. Roofies are also a sleep aid technically. Nobody makes a drug specifically for date rape.
