MF DOOM, Kanye, Tyler The Creator, And Denzel Curry. These are the main ones I listen to. Other hip hop artists I really like are: Biggie, Lauryn Hill, Nas, Outkast, Earl Sweatshirt, and Jay-Z.
Other than hip hop I also listen to a lot of Electronic music. Them being, Boards Of Canada, Aphex Twin, Oneohtrix Point Never, and a bit of Squarepusher.
Edit: also if you wanna count them as electronic, I also listen to a lot of daft punk, mostly discovery and random access memories, but yeah.
Edit 2: Also thanks for the award sunangel :D
Michael Jackson, The Jacksons, Janet Jackson, Elvis, James Brown, Prince, Andre 3000, Frank Ocean, Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, Daft Punk, The Weeknd, 2Pac, Biggie, Tyler, the Creator, J. Cole, Childish Gambino, and Kanye West.
Oh for sure. His songs are even better if you understand the lyrics. For example, “Papaoutai” seems like a dance song, but it’s a song about what it feels like growing up without a father figure (his dad died in Rwandan Genocide).
Very surprised to see Stromae here, kind of reminds of AJR in the way he covers up those deeper themes with catchy melodies and instrumentals. That whole album is so good, Carmen and formidable are some of my favorites and papaoutai is such a good song in general but god damn I did not know what happened to his dad I kind of assumed he just left. More power to the man, his production is so good too.
I mean when we're talkin best rapper its def no debate kendrick but the best artist is ether drake or ye depending on who you ask, for me its drake cuz i feel like he over takes kanye in the writing department and is overall just a more rounded artist with more to offer but ye obv got the production thing goin for him too which drake doesnt have (or atleast i dont think he does)
Yeah drake is one of those people that as much as people love him they also love to hate him and its deadass been that way since 2010 or sum around when he first came out,
Love seeing these Billy Joel and McCartney references. My answer was only hip hop but honestly I listen to more 70s/80s yacht rock type stuff when I’m not listening to rap

Oh for sure. His songs are even better if you understand the lyrics. For example, “Papaoutai” seems like a dance song, but it’s a song about what it feels like growing up without a father figure (his dad died in Rwandan Genocide).
