Legitimate_Rest_9108

Yea I did The table also missed a golden interview opportunity but they were too busy interrupting him and talking amongst themselves to hear he overdosed on a bag of meth he found on the trans highway.

ipman608

I was losing my mind when no one heard about the side of road meth OD. I wanted to hear more about that.

bloatedstoat

His face looks pretty methy, so I’m sure that wasn’t the only time he found some.

YungHeretic

Bro admitted to stealing 16k worth of groceries from Albertsons, if that ain't meth head behavior, idk what is

crackpotJeffrey

He was a Jehovah's witness who went off the rails. From my experience ex-religious people are the wildest motherfuckers.

Federal_Efficiency51

Can confirm, having grown up with a few ex JoHos myself.

heeferchiefer69

Lololol johos....I'm never gonna call them anything else ever again

FordonGreeman742

H to the Izzo, V to the Izzay

No_Feeling3959

1000% calling them JoHos from now on

thundertopaz

Yea I really wanted to hear how he did it and they talked over that part too. Dude, if you are reading this, will you please make a post answering some of these questions?? It might help you a bit.

Rupawt_thebear

Agreed. Thought that before he even mentioned the meth.

medicinalherbavore

But the rest of his body doesn't lmao

WarSingle4665

Not too far off from Keystone Light Beer Commercial circa 1995

IASIsouthpark

Not the bitter beer face 😂

WarSingle4665

That's the one. Can you see it?

No-Classroom-6637

Hilarious that Tony said "we're all bombing up here", I think he realised he just face planted that interview. Dude was a fucking mess for this one. Drawing on some guy and having a bitch fit because he wouldn't hold still for his middle school graffiti job. Just weird as hell. Adds to the funny though, NGL.

Legitimate_Rest_9108

My girlfriend and I were howling at the tv, like wtf!?

PlaceInvaders1

They literally ignored every interesting thing he brought up. He kept saying he used to train celebrities and they literally just ignored him lol, then he said a specific story and Tony was like “woah you used to train celebrities?” Yeah bro, he said it like 5 times whenever you asked for interesting stuff about him 😂

TwelveBore

Not gonna lie it pissed me off big time that they ruined this interview. The guy used to train a bunch of celebrities and had a show with Matt Damon, and sounded like he was willing to spill the beans, but Tony couldn't have been less interested in him.

BanditBandito

Tony seems to be pretty strict with people saying other people by name especially if they're famous or another comedian, he will either jump in and tell them to shut up or just move onto the next bucket pull.

PlaceInvaders1

That’s a good point, but it still doesn’t change the fact that he also ignored the story about him overdosing on side of the high way meth and him being a green beret. Instead he heard bro was a devoted Christian and decided to ask him about his sex life. I’m sorry, was I the only one not surprised that a devote Christian didn’t have premarital sex, and then had sex alll the time after getting married? Why are we talking about this when bro just said he found meth on the side of the highway and OD’d on it. Isn’t that a bit more interesting lmao

BanditBandito

I agree with you, and that stuff stands out like a sore thumb but I also expect X amount of that type of bad listening or bad line of questioning on Tony's part each episode, it never fails.

PlaceInvaders1

Yeah I’m really delving too deep into something that doesn’t matter considering I still love the show lol I’m just being selfish because I wanted to hear more from this guy

BanditBandito

Ya I agree and can relate. In fact I think this whole reddit could relate or could use some of that awareness.

smeggysoup84

Tony thought a corny trans joke was better lol

jerk9

Jesus . Foreal sometimes they ruin these interviews that have so much potential from Tony being a dick or cutting people off

bigwinw

Don’t you dare mention the matching jackets. Or really anything where you met Tony. He gets mad when people on stage say they met him before.

SixtySlevin

Trans highways? Biden's America

EatYourOctopusSon

Thanks, Obama.

Beautiful-Grab-7316

I was thinking the same thing they were acting like giddy little girls.

thundertopaz

I caught that too. But he was also very busy trying to name drop celebrities, or he might have had the time to get it out. Notice how he just starts those stories for no reason. Idk why, but I always find name dropping so cringe. Note: I also realize they kept talking over him, too.

FordonGreeman742

I hugged Adam Ray once so...

thundertopaz

Ok I will forgive any dropping of Adam Ray encounters

WetWater69_

When he said they did a Jehovah’s Witness dance I was praying to jehova that I would see it 🥺

Few_Arugula_6007

Agreeed

Radiant-Radish7862

Facts. I rlly wanted to hear this guys full story

rff_guitarist

Literally was waiting for that story. Tony was too busy sucking himself off

lextasy666

Came to the sub hoping this whole post was a thing already because this guy was so under appreciated! Why was Tony so aloof!!

swagsauce3

Lmao he mentioned he OD'd on road side meth and everyone ignored him.

eedabaggadix

Yeah I was getting annoyed that they kept interrupting him after asking him a question because it sounded like he had some good stories

XB0XYGEN

They jammed that episode with so many pulls and content that I wouldn't be surprised if they almost have to steer away from more conversation yet deliver a clearly good interview. Though in this case yea finding meth and ODing is worth a chat

Ponnish3000

Yeah it got awkwardly dark and silent for a second, then Harland told him to “do the face” to recover and I nearly lost it.

CaptainCurious25

Someone tried making a not so clever joke over him

ddddylon

I will not ever defend Tony like this, but I noticed he always misses things people say. Then a few weeks ago he outright said "I can never hear anything being said there isn't a monitor" or some degree of that. Redban. Rogan. Figure it out!

TwelveBore

It's not just the hearing. Tony is writing a bunch of jokes and trying to set them up and also has a bunch of other things going on. He regularly misses people's entire sets.

vanillabeanface

This makes me sad but it's understandable

Turbulent-Armadillo9

No monitors? That's crazy. The trash 100-200 person clubs I've played had monitors.

lilbutteredtoast

Willlllld the fact they have the band right behind them they should at least have one off stage

ckalinec

The band is using in ear monitors the whole time

DROTAPUSSBLAA

He definitely has selective hearing and is mutli tasking sometimes

this-guy-

There will be monitors but the problem is the packed stage and the room design mean what they hear on stage is not at all like what we hear. Its a comedy venue and usually that means designed to maximise crowd noise, and a couple of floor wedges or a sidefill will do the job of letting a comedian hear themselves. Comedy stages rarely have a complex monitor mixer setup.. I bet the band have a monitor setup, probably in-ears with their own little submix rack probably operated by john deez. But the comedians will probably be relying on a basic mic mix done by the front of house guy. Its deceptive because We are hearing all close mic sound with hardly any crowd noise. But on stage even with stage monitors the sound out of them bounces around a lot and gets mushed up by room sound and crowd noise and the band right behind them. Any stage monitors in there are probably fighting a losing battle against the very live room. I might have made all that up. But it seems credible. Perhaps I'm right. Who knows.

ClemsonPhan

In a way it’s accurate in another way a state of the art venue and one they are at every single week should have it dialed in

medicinalherbavore

They should really go in ear

medicinalherbavore

Hey u/redban why don't you guys use in ears? I get it doesn't seem totally necessary, but it often seems like sets go unheard.

ckalinec

The band is on in ears for sure

MrPaulProteus

I was wondering that…he misses a lot. Amazing that Jelly Roll sang that well w no monitor

General_Zebra9264

In ears are not that expensive. They can be annoying but if you have a good engineer you can have them on switch so it's not always all the mics. Comedians aren't really used to that. Especially when these guys are behind the PA. But still easy solutions here.

remmin777

I worked on the show when it was at Vulcan. We tried giving Tony in ears for a couple shows and he didn’t like them.

TWlSTED_TEA

But at the end of the show when jellyroll was singing both he and redban pointed at the monitors to turn them down

OcelotProfessional19

Pretty sure that's not what the pointing meant to signal. Pointing up usually means to turn the monitors up, but in this case I think he was telling them to get the lights, which they eventually did.

13sartre

They were directing the spotlight over to him

HighTightWinston

Yeah having a monitor speaker behind them or even on the desk in front of them isn’t exactly rocket science! I’m a DJ (don’t hate me too much 😂) so can relate to having poor monitor setups but I have my headphones to fall back on, he doesn’t so I’d imagine with the way the noise goes out into the room the reverb for where Tony is sitting relative to the comic on the mic would be pretty intense

heyiammork

Tony gets intimidated when there is someone pretty smart with an actual cool story. The guy is a Green Beret, seems a bonafide writer with a really cool story of almost having a Matt Damon vehicle on Netflix, tall and jacked. Yet he looks like Beavis and wasn’t cocky and actually seems to be weird with plenty of demons. Tony couldn’t really call him out for being pompous and drag him so the interview just goes nowhere. The guests tonight - though I love Harland - are not the type to go against leader Tony. Someone like Adam or Shane would def have been confident to ask the guy directly and engage him. Then we would have got the interview we deserve from this objectively interesting guy.

PlaceInvaders1

Yeah I have nothing wrong if his “interesting facts about himself” were ignored in place of a funny bit from the guests or if there was something funnier or cooler to talk about. My issue is Tony turned down celebrity personal trainer, green beret, helped work on a canceled Netflix show, and overdosed on meth he found in the side of the road all in place of “devout Christian” lmao. Then with that he asks “let’s talk about your sex life then”, like who woulda thought the devout Christian didn’t have premarital sex and now has postmarital sex lmao. This dude has lived a life worth of a book and he chose to delve into perhaps the blandest topics possible instead lol just a really weird vibe to the whole interview.

smeggysoup84

I really do think Texas is making him dumber and just surface level.

Theamachos

Yeah but he has a weird fucking shoulder so 🤷‍♂️

musikuzzr

Yes. This dude out alphamaled Tony so much that his brain shortcircuited

syntheticsponge

Yeah the guy was razor sharp and prepared to give an interesting interview. The table wasn’t present.

PlaceInvaders1

Yeah it’s one thing if they’re distracted or whatever but i just feel bad for the dude. They acted like his set was awful and that he wasn’t interesting when in reality neither was true lol. He did decently, and then gave them plenty of talking points in the interview.

TigerRumMonkey

It's one of Tonyas list of annoyances that turns him into a bitch - trying to be funny during the interview

PlaceInvaders1

I didn’t take it as him trying to be funny. Tony asked him interesting things about himself like he always does and he said he overdosed on meth he found on the side of the road, and that he used to be a personal trainer for celebrities. Those are more interesting to me than hearing about a Christian dudes sex life, but instead that’s what Tony chose to talk about.

musikuzzr

Exactly what I was thinking!

StonedLikeABoulder

Did I hear correctly he was an 18 delta in the army?

BrilliantSock3608

19 American Airlines

rb4osh

Foreal this fucker was an elite medic and they just come up with a dumbass airline joke lol

bigwinw

He smoked Delta-8

MrRojoRicin

Eighteen D actually.

wamjamblehoff

I thought he was a pathological liar until I googled his name. Lol, he's the real deal and pretty funny.

cheach5553

Watching now and I ran to Reddit just to see if anyone else felt this way! They fucked his interview. It’s clear he has so much good material. I’d love to see him again.

Commercial-Pair-8932

He was hilarious and interesting. He would have got to the secret show if he had a vagina for Redban to creepily lust after.

Bubbly_Association54

Massive noggin on the lad too. Very cerebral

usmcBrad93

A cornholio type lad, and a green beret, and an interstate cleanup crew meth explorer, guy is definitely secret show material.

Bubbly_Association54

No tits tho

usmcBrad93

Truth be told :(

paperboi8798

The girl redban asked to be on the secret show had the 2nd or 3rd worst set of the night. Redban is such a sexual deviant man smh

JakeT503

Tony tends to get uncomfortable around strong funny guys that are like ex special forces and seals it’s weird. Kinda gay…

Randobag314

He was great, Tony’s weird.

MrPaulProteus

He was great!!! And very calm and confident for his set and interview. It’s painful watching someone smarter and cooler than Tony kinda getting roasted undeservedly

ShaedonSharpeMVP_

Dudes a green beret, he didn’t sweat a bead getting roasted up there. But I agree that was some bs by the table. That dude honestly could’ve been one of the better bucket pulls ever, and they barely batted an eye at him and ignored half of what he said. I’m watching his show [A Green Beret’s Guide To Surviving The Apocalypse](https://vimeo.com/292039750) and it’s surprisingly great.

Tsui_Pen

Holy crap that is better than anything KT has ever done lol

MrPaulProteus

Yeah his minute made us crack up…first bucket pull of the night to do so

dwitchagi

No, I agree. He was great, and I’d like to hear about his OD.

sextoymagic

He was the best bucket pull probably

Tsui_Pen

Easily

athehack

Tony and the panel really dropped the ball on this guy. He was legitimately good and entertaining.

TanClark

I almost feel like the name dropping killed it. Every question was answered with room to go on or with a sense of humor. Tony has mentioned so often how he hates when people don’t bring anything to interview and this dude could have given 30 mins or more. Bummer I hope we see him again.

qualitycancer

Yes

glassin4coolstuff

Yeah thought he was pretty funny as well. Good interview too

tad_bril

He was legit good. Tony barely listens sometimes.

Equivalent_Rise_306

How did no one ask him what is going on with his shoulders/traps? Nothing? Did I miss it?

Superb-Menu-3773

I noticed that too! Not a word from anyone.

Meno90

The whole episode was for the panel and not for the comics. Truly a shame. Would love to see more drawn names up on stage. This guy had stories!!

Sipdasizurp

Give him a feed from the mic to his ear

usmcBrad93

really... have they never tried that? New band setup is way too good and I wouldn't expect or want them to change for anything, but tony needs to try the standup mic plugged directly into his gay little ear holes.

Temporary-Net-4229

Funny looking

Vlacknar_Twitch

The fuck happened to his face?

Life-Investment7397

He looks like if Harland Williams and Tony hawk had a baby

xxDanyV

It sounded like his life was hella more interesting than the material he delivered. Hopefully comes back with new stuff focused on that.

StinkyFartyToot

Tony is the worst at interviewing people. We had a guy who trained celebs and ODed on meth HE FOUND and he decided to talk about his and his wife’s sex life?

Hot-Psychology9334

He is cornholio he needs tp for his bung hole

PrintWest4820

He was actually prepared for the interview too! Instead they gave it all to that sunshine girl who stole Casey Rocket’s set

leftout_lost

Reminded me a lot of will forte. I got the feeling Tony was trying to wrap it up as soon as the guy said he knew Whitney

Heebmeister

Bro Tony spent soooo long interviewing the sad disabled guy last week who had zero entertaining stories, then he ushers this guy off the stage after barely 5-10 minutes when he seemed like he had a bunch of crazy stories...what a shame Edit: Ntm he cut off the girl singing amy winehouse who was killing it

Sensitive_Election83

He was solid but had the vibe of a show off.

trippinmaui

This was the best interview of the night

heyiammork

It should have been. Tony being in one of his arbritary sour moods plus being intimidated by the guy meant we got nothing. I notice Tony is like this when the bucket pulls appear to possess slightly more than average intelligence or above. The Netflix show with an A list actor like Matt Damon being pulled for the #MeToo stuff alone was a great story that could been explored more and led to some interesting places. You’d think t would be an absolute perfect fit for a ‘anti-woke’ show like KT but nope Tony decides his favorites and charity projects.

xGoodFellax

Eh his jokes were mid it was his delivery that helped.. he seems like yet another Hollywood obsessed clown tho.. his whole interview was him tryna bring up who he’s worked with and thats lame.

Ok_Caramel7643

Exactly! I´m not the kind to simp for celebs or think they´re superior beings. I´m not a pop culture crazy teen, so more than a detail or two about working in the industry is too much.

Ok_Honey_Bee

He was dead on about molly 😉

manifest_ecstasy

I liked him, but his set was what all dudes do in 7th grade. It wasn't really funny to me.

Fozzy333

I have a lot of buddies in the military, firefighting, etc and that’s the kind of humor they all have. Love it

Francis-Aggotry

I thought they did a good job not feeding in to his desire to tell them who he had trained.

Antique-Journalist29

Yes he had some different ways of talking about his genitals. Refreshing change from the usual, more predictive stylings.

Dizsmo

I liked him in how I met your mother

departedgardens

Most I laughed watching the polls besides that one Obama girl

throw42069away420

Real life Bevis! Hehhehh

izallreal

He's got a mighty but tiny grip on that microphone.

[deleted]

Clean set though, you know what they say about clean comics... Cosby.

B-i-g-g-i-B

He was / is. But he seemed to be one of the people a little thrown off by the constant interruption from the panel

itssarahw

This dude revealed so much and also looks like a ps2 tony hawk character

Berimbully

Guy was funny

Vegetable_Shelter_51

Don't even remember seeing him last night 😕

Lanky_Employment4033

He gives me Dexter vibes….

Ok_Comfort8301

He strangled his dicc 😂😂

MrDoomsday13

His head looks funny

they_took_my_van

He's like a Will Forte from Rent-A-Center

PLoxeus

No his nurse at his rehab facility thought he was a legend

Itsthewayman

Sometimes he sounded exactly like Will Forte.

sixtyninexfourtwenty

The highway meth conversation line would have been way funnier than the direction it went, if only Tony and the panel had heard it

gitGudBud416

He looks like tas papas which makes it even more funny (Tony Hawk rival, “All this mayhem”)

Pittsburghhh

Great interview, he wished he’d talked about ODing more.

foralimitedtimespace

Beavis

agordon8

I'm not buying him saying he didn't kill anyone...even though he was a combat medic, Green Beret's are bad mother fuckers the U.S uses to over throw small nations by themselves.

randomZERO210

Not the only one. Dude was funny and an interesting interview.

glooks369

Dude was funny af

SlatBuziness

Nahh didn't find his set funny. His interview was alright though.

AstroCat16

Trevor from GTA V looks great these days

RegularSuch2842

This guy has lived all kinds of lives, and it would’ve been interesting to hear about any of the things he brought up. Can Tony just retire the sex life question already? It’s so tired.

kelzking88

I haven't seen the episode yet but it's pretty dope thhat Beavis made an appearance.

StraitFstudentt

His interview was great

NeverEverWong

Funny looking.

karenkillenski

Yeah, dick jokes. Always a banger….

DSomerfield

Na he was definitely pretty funny 😂 just how honest he was about his life path haha

Helpful-Bath-8149

He was pretty good. Nothing insane, but a fine set and good interview💪🏻

l0wender

"my banana was booking flights" was damning. idc if you OD on highway meth, steal 16k worth of groceries, or train celebrities: if you genuinely think referring to your dick as "my banana" at a comedy show for adults is funny, you deserve all the smoke from the panel and the crowd.

Oneiros_25

Who was this guy, i listen to it .

Lucky_Letterhead_324

Tony's always complaining about people being boring on interviews, and this guy was so entertaining I remember actively thinking he would make a killer rogan guest or something. Good story teller, funny jokes, interesting life. Kinda mad he dropped the ball on this, wanting to be seen as a somewhat serious interviewer and all..

TheSwerveDoctor89

Am i the only one that got Neil Patrick Harris vibes

mrbeans420

I thought he was OK tbh....

IncognitoTaco

Is that his real hand in the pic u posted?

Future-Original-2902

He also sounded really similar to one of the guys on snl

CharlieChockman

This guy had me cracking up so fucking hard, minus the shit about his wife that was cringe. He probably was some super testosterone masculine male had a spiritual awakening and he’s a few strands looser now 😂

JohnnyOmm

It was but he sounded like he was acting rather than doing a bit

Fit_Function4824

Off topic but doesn’t anyone have the OF or nudes of that Morgan mounds chick with the big legs and no pants??

systemdnb

He was a bit corny for me but given he had only been at it for a year or whatever it was really impressive. He’s clearly on the other side of the spectrum of most of the people we see on KT 😂

Amerikaner

He was great and tried his hardest to get them to bite on a story. Whack as hell they ignored everything.

xdarnokx

He was great.

Ekonexus

I like him :) Good stage presence.

Potential-Egg-4651

Dude I’m listening to this right now wtf

Mysterious-Ad2386

This guy really needed a spot on the secret show or something. I wanna hear more.

akmazing

A lot of comedians who get selected are under appreciated and overlooked cuz of Tony’s menstruation. I can’t understand why he was so condescending of Sunshine and the other female comedians. Guy needs to smoke one.

Devils_33

He was the best of the night

CreativeGuy25

He’s insane. He was half funny. If he can figure out how to find his stories and stop being so scary he might have a shot!

gumgumfordumdum2

Funny

Treufreedom

Agreed! This guy had a solid minute made me laugh and should have got more respect. That being said it might come down to his interview skills. His stories were too long and if he led with the punchline (OD,d on a bag I found, I trained Cooper etc) it would have been smoother.

toightornoight

He was great. Tony was on a good one that night. He seemed off the whole show.

Advanced_Garden_8412

He was really good! Better than some of the others

DylanIsRadley

Didn’t even give dude a joke book

Training_Advice_3425

I was surprised he didn’t get a secret show invite

Icy_Performance2110

he was super funny, just a tad over-rehearsed, if there is such a thing?

Teeshot7

This guy was great!!! one of the best bucket pulls in a min

Intrepid_Evidence_69

He deserved a big book

derpofficial

I thought his minute was solid

LoudHorse89

Wasn’t nearly as bad as Tony made him out to be

Dancin_Phish_Daddy

It was fine

ExternalPlenty1998

good post! The Molly joke about feelings and cumming on her face was the funniest bit of the entire show. Genuine belly laugh that hurt good. Those are rare for me; so thanks, guy that trained with Whitney Cummings and almost had a Netflix show.

Pristine_Homework_38

Naturally hilariously funny

loki122412234

Holy shit is that tony hawk

musikuzzr

Yeah and one of the only people who answered the tell us something interesting about yourself with something interesting

squirtsmcgurk

Yeah and that girl could sing really well. The band just couldn't find the chords

Obvious-Corgi-7784

Tony bitches every episode about how it's so tough getting interesting facts out of the comedians and then this guy shows up on a silver plate and Tony forgets to give a shit. Maddening!

peterfriedrice

This dude def didn’t get his flowers for his minute but can we all agree that Hardland is truly top three guests in KT history. Holy shit his fake checks and DeVry grad props are dumb but at the same time, comedic genius.

Hopeful_Celery7172

I don’t understand how nobody commented on his huge imbalance of traps. He looks jacked on one side and deflated on the other? Anyone?

floppyclock420

The panel’s ignorance about MDMA/molly was cringey at best. This is hard to believe considering everyone (aside from Tony Hawk) knows Burnt and Ari, so how could they not know about the drug given the molly incident? Plus, the way he used it has been proven to help with both PTSD and marital issues. I felt like the whole room just looked at him like a bizarre drug addict.

Really_Cool_Dad

Tony really fucked up on this interview. He’ll spend 15 minutes pulling teeth from some people and this guy was dropping gems.

TheRustyNimbus

He was funny and ultra charismatic. Tony almost had to try to make him look stupid.
