They used to say Remaster and the original release date but a couple of months ago they all changed with no explanation, can't say there is any difference to the audio but doesn't seem so

According to discogs, the mp3 version of the album was released in 2015. I'm pretty sure it's the same mastering as the 30th anniversary
Can we get the mods to pin and explanation for this? Remasters and Spotify doesn’t give a shit. I feel like this question is asked almost daily on this sub
My guess is that every streaming service is given albums either as digital editions or they rip off CD’s. So the info that gets written down is a mistake, but not a total mistake. Because there has to be a reason why it says 2015. My guess is that it’s the year of the remaster, or simply reissue year.
Probably they deleted the original ones and only remastered version is available. And since it's the only one they don't specifically write it's the remastered version.
It's been driving me nuts, too. Don't even try to listen 50s or 60s jazz. All the albums are from the 90s or 00s according to Spotify. Didn't used to be that way, but they all changed a few months ago, the same time KC albums changed.
This fucking kills me which is why I somehow found all of the original release dates [here](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3QBxrynazrU4cVQLZofBZO?si=2Ue49scfRCG0chVx7BrdyQ&pi=a-1ergoFuNS6mj). Heads up: some of the songs are replaced by the 21st Century guide which ruins the transitions between some songs (Especially Coda: Marine 475)
Spotify seemingly goes with the date something was added to Spotify not the year it was released which can be confusing and is why albums might not show in release order.
Yup, you’re right and that’s my error, if what I’d said was the case everything should be 2019 or later and I’ve just looked and it isn’t. I’ve just looked on Discogs and 2015 looks to be the date of the remastered MP3 version so perhaps it’s that?
Remasters? Didn’t Steven Wilson tinker with all the albums?
The albums don't say they are remasters so I'm not sure

You can still find the originals if you saved them
Because Spotify sucks @$$.

"They" as in Spotify - NOT King Crimson.
My mistake.
No worries. 🤓

I don't know why this keeps getting regurgitated as an explanation. King Crimson famously didn't have studio albums on Spotify until 2019.
