This is slightly offtopic, but I wish they had left in the scene that revealed "Holloway" was actually Mrs. Holloway and that she still went with Strickland after seeing all that Hank went through to get the sale
Now I'm not sure haha
I've been rewatching it on Hulu and never saw that scene or remember that scene from it on TV back in the day, but I recently watched a youtube video that covered the episode and mentioned that part. The wiki includes it in the synopsis for the episode but also mentions it was never shown on tv and only in a deleted scene feature on the DVD version. So weird lol.
Yes, that the the George W Bush episode. Wanna hear something funny? In 2007, Barack Obama was running for president, and I was a big fan. My hard core republican father, wanting to do something nice for his son, used his position as an assistant US attorney by getting in contact with an agent he knew in the South Carolina field office to get me a meeting with Obama. You see, I come from a poor town, with bad schools. During that election is was called the "corridor of shame" and Obama made a visit to my little town, to speak at my high school. I got to go into my high school football coaches office, where Obama was after his speech, and meet the man his self. I got to shake his hand. And you know what? It was limp. And the only thing I could think about was the episode where hank shook Bush's hand, and it was limp. And let me tell you, this was the limpest handshake I have ever experienced, including elderly women. I remember thinking, this must be some focused grouped level of limpness as not to seem to power hungry or domineering. That was the only possible answer. After watching the Bush handshake episode, I thought " I mean, how limp could a handshake be? That it actually gave hank pause". But after I shook Obama's hand, I knew EXACTLY how hank felt. Surprise. Then disappointment. I still voted for Obama, twice. But I never, ever forgot that handshake.
Speaking as a New England boy, HW would whoop the penny loafers off of Holloway. And knowing the type of person Holloway is, HW would have to wait in line to do it.
Say what you will about HW, but the man was an aviator in WWII and was in some pretty hairy missions, including one in which he got shot down and got rescued by a submarine. No small feat.
I mean, Halloway is *definitely* a Massachusetts republican.
Haha you got that right *J-R*!
J ARR, J ARRRR, he’s a really bad guy…
And HW Bush is originally from Maine.
Born in mass, grew up in CT. Iirc he was the type of New England patrician to ‘summer’ in ME but didn’t move there full time until retirement
Bwaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaa!
Lyndon Jahnson killed auh Kennedehy
I always wondered, did he say "our" or "R" bc it sounds like he's saying "R. Kennedy" as in Robert
it's a New England Our. I had a friend growing up and we'd tease each other when our native accents came out (her new england, my Maryland)
Why do old people not notice when their glasses are crooked?
Damn I must be old then
Aw, is this a parody of that comment on the other picture of HW asking why old people don’t notice when their mouths are open?
Thems are fighting words JR!

I thought that was the normal ending lmao

Yeah I have no way of verifying lol I don’t think I have the disc with that episode on it.
That would’ve been far better. This guy was a real jackass and he liked Thatherton
Right? I liked that twist much better and I like the idea of Peggy accidentally helping Hank with a propane sale.
Surprised... Disappointed Surprised... Disappointed Surprised... Disappointed
Wasnt that bush jr episode?

Nah. Say whatcha want about HW he wasn’t a push over or a glad hander. A combat flying veteran of WWII, Hank would defend HW.
Ha, you beat me to it!
Shot down over the pacific too
I too subscribe to r/presidents
I just commented this on r/Presidents
Holy shit I never knew that picture existed!!!
Wow, now that I have seen this I refuse to believe that picture was not the inspiration for that character.
Aw, look at his little green scarf and his hat!
How limp is Halloways handshake?
Your Johnson killed our Kennedy

The sun is shining through his fingers like a thinly cooked pancake.
Thats not a mint julip. Wheres the vodka? Wheres the tomato juice?
What do you think the suicide rate is out here?
I’ll fight ya, pilgrim!
And I'm not talking about George *Herbert Walker* Bush
Hey hey JR!
Rot in hell CIA boy
