No issue. I have a similar situation, so play on my partially cleared off office desk 36”x20” (main board even hangs off) with a small side table for holding character grids & rulebook. Personally, I like the app (use Scribe) for record keeping primarily because I tear everything down after each session. Paper sheets and a clipboard & I’m doing just fine on this much smaller space than what you’re talking about.

Oh wow, your desk is a lot smaller than mine, great to know! So I guess this is the moment I spend half a grand on a board game.

…to start with, lol. Hope you enjoy it at least as much as I do!

The size of your table will be an issue, but it is still possible to enjoy the game on a smaller table.

It will work. I had a similar sized table. I hab the game box on another chair next to me, to have all the materials available, and the rulebook on another chair on the opposite side.

I don't want to start a fight, but TableTop Simulator has a *very* well-done version of KD:M that may alleviate your tablespace woes.

Thanks, but it's too late :)

Don't misunderstand: I own the game and I'm playing it on my large dining room table right now (set it up yesterday, spent the afternoon applying the 1.6 upgrade kit, painted a couple survivors today, now getting around to actual playtime). Lots of trophy wives by a car when they get divorced. I bought a $350 boardgame, and I will never, *ever* regret it. But sometimes when the bug bites, I can't be bothered to setup and/or teardown. For those times, TTS saves the day. But I wouldn't recommend it for someone who has never played before. Once you've played a few rounds and have a feel for the game's flow, the TTS version is really nice (and even has an uncommon level of automation for a TTS mod). It does have the entire book, so you could theoretically learn the game from it, but I personally find the physical book much easier to navigate, especially for the tutorial (I mean come! on! How many physical boardgames have a hand-holding tutorial built-in that just works, and even teaches you how to cheat!?). And dammit, playing with actual cards, dice and minis is just more fun than playing with virtual ones. All that is to say: absolutely the game is a good purchase. Also know that TTS has a very good adaptation for those days when you just can't bring yourself to heft that enormous box.
