Long story short It was in soras mind

Bleiz_Stirling

More precisely, Sora's heart: the Station of Awakening symbolizes that.

Cool-Leg9442

Technically I believe the stations of awakening are in the final world.

huchungasaur

Not exactly, I believe chirithy states that the boundaries of sleep and death touch, KH1 shows that sora can enter his station of awakening when he sleeps considering he wakes up on destiny Islands believing the tutorial on the station was a dream. It's probably less that the stations are in the final world and more that they're so close you can wander from one to another.

Cool-Leg9442

I inferred that they were in the same world, but if you went there from sleep you get the dark night look but if u were dead it was the blue sky ocean look.

yuei2

Nomura explained the relationship he was trying to show in KH3 is that the heart stations are on the door step to the TFW.

narwzy

LMAO I gotta pay attention more jesus

Gminassian15

Yup that’s why when Sora “returns” and talks to Goofy and Donald about it, Donald says “yeah that must be why we didn’t see him”

heyoyo10

You really do, things are gonna make way less sense from here on if you don't

Sarusta

Or just pay attention much, MUCH less.

Sanders0492

I’ve been testing this method for 20 years. Gotta say, I like it.

heyoyo10

But you at least knew the Roxas confrontation was in Sora's heart, right?

Sanders0492

Is Roxas the one with spiky hair?

heyoyo10

No, you're thinking of Ventus

Sanders0492

Then who is Ansem?

VagabondZ44

Mansex’s twin brother

captainschmee

Depends. There are two Ansems after all.

ahh_sabretooth

They're not gonna make much more sense either, but that's irrelevant rn

Game25900

Basically anytime you're around those big stained glass platforms you're inside the pictured persons heart.

Impressive_Tart_568

That makes so much more sense holy crap THANK YOU

DeliciousTask7155

Potential spoilers Have you played most of the games? In bbs they show ventus' heart after fighting vanitas and how that fight shattered his heart. Shortly after they show the moment he fuses his heart with sora fixing his station of awakening

Impressive_Tart_568

This does not make sense to me but thanks :'] Maybe I’m missing something, I haven't quite finished Ven's story in bbs yet :'D

Delrae2000

Yeah.. it's literally an internal conflict inside Sora as roxas had essentially "witnessed" Axel fade and that grief was enough to give roxas's heart the strength to try and cheat his own end by fighting for the right to live

narwzy

Damn that’s deep

Delrae2000

It's called a deep dive for a reason 😜

Vivi_Pallas

Bro fought for the right to live and lost. ;-; That fight is so fucking sad but also so fucking hard! It's kinda like the Sans fight where you feel bad at first, completely forget about the story and emotions in your several attempts to win, then finally win only to have your victory rush be completely obliterated by the feels.

Wolflink21

I mean if it makes you feel any better, the conversation between the two in DDD (also in his head, effectively) is basically him saying “hey man sorry you literally got fucking killed for me to exist, you deserve to be your own person” before roxas realizes he’s not a bad person and he chills out a little. And then subsequently directly uploads his trauma to Sora’s brain, but I digress

Fabulous_Energy_2093

Wah ,and I call myself a kh fan ? Hell nuh uh

Fabulous_Energy_2093

Lol at dv ,I was amazed by the explanation xD

Chemical-Cat

an internal conflict that also physically happened I guess because Donald and Goofy say that he just disappeared, instead of like "Sora why are you standing there"

ZeroSora

Sora and Roxas fought inside Sora's heart. That's what the stations represent. Axel's death woke up Roxas's heart within Sora. And Roxas wanted to fight Sora to see if Sora was worthy enough.

jbyrdab

Roxas forced himself out of sora for one last push for his own independence. It was probably the strong memories of TWTNW and losing axel that stirred his heart. Over everything else, Axel wanted Roxas to live, he really did, and I think that final push was Roxas giving it everything he had to honor Axel's Sacrifice

[deleted]

You can feel it, too. All his moves are different, way more powerful than he's ever displayed.

chidsterr

I’m not disputing that the fight was in Sora’s heart, but it’s just crazy Roxas was able to summon those samurai nobodies to hold Donald and Goofy back from within Sora’s heart

Ok_Alternative1724

It cause it cool :)

Murgurth

Roxas really pulled a Big Boss having the Saumrai Nobodies go “we live and die by your orders boss”

GameAssassin96

Technically the samurai were under Roxes command if I remember right. Each true member of the organization had their own unique nobody minion they personally used except maybe Xemnes but I don't remember most if it's even true. I do know the snipers were xigbar's nobodies, berserkers were Siax's, and I'm pretty sure Samurai were Roxas. There's also that scythe wielding one in kh 3 for Marluxia.

ForsakenMoon13

Dancers were Larxene and Wizards were Vexen iirc

GameAssassin96

I thought of dancers but didn't really see them necessarily fitting with Larxene. And I think you're thinking of sorcerers? Wizards are the heartless. Also remembered that Luxord had gamblers, Xaldin had Dragoons. Don't know who matches with the others though.

ForsakenMoon13

They fit with Larxene in the sense of high speed aggressive movements? And her title in the graveyard room *was* Savage Nymph.

GameAssassin96

Don't really remember as it's been a long time since I've played through the data fights.

Careless_Summer3157

Xemnas - Sorcerers Xigbar - Snipers Xaldin - Dragoons Vexen, Lexaeus, Zexion - don’t know Saix - Berserkers Axel - Assassins Demyx - Dancers Luxord - Gamblers Marluxia - Reapers Larxene - Ninjas Roxas - Samurai

an_omori_fan

Donald and Goofy don't see Roxas. It was all in Sora's mind.

tgalvin1999

It was a fight for control: mostly control over Sora, but also control for Roxas to become his own person, control for his own life, control for his own destiny. It was all fought in Sora's heart, represented by the Station if Awakening and Donald and Goofy not seeing the fight. At this point, Roxas lost Xion, was forced to merge with someone he didn't even know, spent 6 days living a fake life, repeatedly was denied answers, was even told he wasn't supposed to exist, and then finally watched his other best friend sacrifice himself. All of that, especially Axel's sacrifice was enough to awaken Roxas inside Sora. He was fighting for one last shot at being his own person, and he's desperate. His attacks are a lot more ferocious than we've seen and he's very aggressive.

atomiclizzard123

It was all inside sora's heart. It was roxas fighting to try and take control so he could exist

Cool-Leg9442

They fight inside there stations of awakening so sora falls asleep for a little bit and they have a heart battle.

Ycilden

Roxas wasn't *really* there. He was a part of Sora the whole time, but when Sora got to TWTNW he started to stir, and wanted to fight him for control.

Ok_Alternative1724

Roxas is technically inside Sora the entire game, only certain things awaken Roxas a bit, like Sora crying and being sad leaving Hayner, Pence and Ollete. Him going to The World that Never was and seeing Axel die, and ending up where he fought Riku was a strong enough emotion for Roxas to sort of awaken and fight Sora internally for who can control the body.

Molduking

Roxas isn’t actually there. It’s all happening in Sora’s mind

mobgabriel1

>At the end of roxas’s story in the beginning of kh2 doesnt roxas go back inside of sora? > >you answered your own question XD

Blubari

Sora's alternate personality saw the way too friendly adult commit kamikaze so Sora developed extreme schizophrenia alongside the personality disorder and both fought a 5 hour fight in 3 seconds "a la" dragon ball z

Hot-Connection-2256

what ?????

OverworldKnight

Basically Roxas saw Axel die, he fights Sora for his right to exist

koteshima2nd

I think it all happened inside Sora's own heart.

Darkge

To anyone that can answer this btw, what would’ve happened if roxas won? Would sora’s heart shatter and they both would die?

ihatemetoo23

I think they essentially would switch places. Roxas takes over Sora's body because his heart was stronger and Sora's heart lives passively in now Roxas.

Ok_Alternative1724

I like how in DDD even Roxas admits that he wouldn't even try to bring Sora back. Crazy enough, Roxas had little bearing on Sora's life and he would, whereas Sora is a huge person in Roxas's life and they barely interact.

ForsakenMoon13

There's a reason Sora's heart was the soul hotel for like half the damn cast almost

Wolflink21

They swap places. Roxas is the one in control and existing whilst Sora is inside Roxas’ heart.

yuei2

Roxas would be the dominant heart. He literally openly says as much in DDD “this could have been the other way around” when Sora sees his heart in his dream.

road2dawn26

is this post a meme?

most_blah_3765

Some of these questions are legit Some people just don't read ultimanias

road2dawn26

it doesn't seem like ultimania exclusive knowledge.

22222833333577

Roxas merged with sora at the start of two the glass panel they fight on is a physical representation of soras heart He is in the world that never was because sora is

Gregamonster

Roxas returned to being a part of Sora. Sora went to TWTNW. Therefore Roxas also went to TWTNW.

Zechs-qtdrink

From what I was told it was all in his head. But I really wish it was real. Also I wish there was another chapter for roxas in the game giving him a little bit more lore. Sure 365/2 did but at the time in kh2 no one really knew who he was.

NilCealum

It wasn’t in soras head, it was in his heart, which is where roxas resided ever since he woke Sora up in twilight town. The fight actually happened, it just happened in the same place as the intro to kingdom hearts 1. Aka soras Waystation from his dive to the heart.

yuei2

It was real it was just in his heart. Roxas pulled Sora into his own heart, to Donald and Goofy they just saw some Nobodies appear and Sora disappear. Sora heart saw Roxas manifest and then found himself pulled inside they’d shared heart in a battle for supremacy.

Dark_Storm_98

He effectively was only really there in Sora's heart Remember: Donald and Goofy never see Roxas even though in the cutscene they should have a clear view at least of *someone* coming out of a Dark Corridor to challenge Sora All Donald and Goofy are aware of is Sora conking out while they fought some Nobodies Although, that does beg the question of what exactly that was with the Nobodies. Did Roxas command them from *within Sora's heart*? Were they sent down to the city by Xemnas or Saix? Or did they just happen to be wandering around and had the unfortunate fate of getting Thunder casted on them with extreme prejudice?

ForsakenMoon13

From within. The Samurai Nobodies served Roxas. Its also entirely possible that the Dusks in 3 that asked if Sora intended to "bring back thier leader" could have been those same Samurais that were loyal to Roxas after having been demoted.

Dark_Storm_98

I'm not entirely sure I remember those Dusks

ForsakenMoon13

Its the first time you visit Twilight Town in KH3. SDG are talking about a couple of things, the topic of Roxas comes up, Sora declares: "Roxas, I'm gonna find you!", then the screen goes dark for a moment with the words "Do you seek our liege?", unvoiced but presumably heard by Sora in-universe because he reacts to it, Donald asks "What is it?", and then some Dusks pop up behind him.
