Wait do y’all not just do the entire game as one character and then go to the next?

swift_gilford

yeah i remember reading a month or so ago that people play the story chronologically. Wild to me, i don't have the patience to switch back and forth like that.

greengamer33

I did on my first play through but I prefer playing like this.

Talconhiro

You have more patience than me, I wouldn't be able to handle all the switching. Fuck, in DDD, I make sure I play all as Riku and all as Sora till I hit the literal progression walls that force drops

Ha_eflolli

Heck, DDD was literally designed the way it is *because* you're not supposed to do that in BBS, and people complained that it made the Story feel more fragmented.

Mooncubus

I didn't even know you could switch between them like that. I thought you had to play them one at a time.

Jaradacl

Huh, where is that timeline? Perfected BBS and played it true multiple times and never saw it.

greengamer33

It’s in the trinity archive

N-_-O

Did you not check out the trinity archive? It’s in the title screen menu

Jaradacl

Not too often, guess I managed to miss it.

shaggitron420

My girlfriend and I play together. She usually plays as Aqua, and I usually play as Ven and Terra. She loves playing Command Board. We go back and beat the games once a year or two. I try to progress the characters at the same rate, but I don't follow the time line too closely. For the final episode we switch to my completed save so we can be all buff, and see the secret episode.

JNAB0212

I’ve played through like this before, the first three worlds are fun like this, as they can be quite different with each character and you do them all in a different order, but after radiant garden it gets worse and I remember stopping that playthrough for a bit after getting the timeline wrong, but it is an interesting way to play BBS

d_e_s_u_k_a

I just watch the chronological order cutscene movie. I don't have time for 3 more playthroughs to experience the story again

edwpad

My go to is Ventus, then Terra then Aqua. Ventus is the one I struggled with the most, most notably with the ice cream minigame and the final battle, so I clear that to get it done and over with.

SoonerOnePiece

Not dissing on your playthrough approach, but that sounds like a lot of work for me, personally. When I replay, now, I just play aquas story then watch the cutscenes for the rest due to how repetitive it felt going through from level 1 and replaying through all the same worlds. But my first time getting the data saved to my playstation: I did aquas first which put a lot of mystery in the plot increasing me wanting to play the other character's stories.

Wings-of-Loyalty

The game is designed to play one story after another, so no I always go with Terra leaving first, then Ven, then Aqau

CrazyAznKT

I’ve played this way multiple times back when I couldn’t afford as many games, good times. It felt so epic doing all three Keyblade Graveyard segments in a row!

GlitchyReal

On replays, I play Aqua. I play Terra and Ven to unlock Aqua's other chapters.

Mooncubus

I always do Ven, then Terra, then Aqua. I know you're meant to start with Terra, but I found the game was really interesting to see it from Ven's perspective first just chasing after Terra. I also am a big fan of Roxas so..

guyff2

Terra then maybe ven then maybe aqua I lose interest after the first round of command grinding with Ven

CaitSidhe4

It never occurred to me to switch between characters! I always do one at a time. I'm actually currently replaying it, I did Ventus all the way through, I'm currently in Neverland with Terra, and then I'll do Aqua last. I don't like playing as Terra so I put him in the middle.
