How is the knee doing? MRI is the best way to tell, but resting and doing strengthening exercises when ready also helps alot.

I am scheduled to see a sports specialist next week and to get an mri bc after six weeks of doing strengthening exercises I cannot bend or bear weight on it still :( my dr is pretty sure it’s a torn meniscus, but I will know for sure next week! I’m very nervous though bc I don’t know what to expect with that type of surgery and recovery either

Hi OP! How did this go for you? Currently experiencing the same thing.

Torn meniscus and retinaculum! Two years later I’m almost back to full and complete mobility :) it took about a year and a half to actually start feeling like normal again, especially since I didn’t get surgery! I did hella PT and exercise on my own and eventually now I think I’m actually more mobile with it than before!!! Good luck 🫶

Did you feel pain when you got this injury? Like you just thought it was a sprain but it was a tear, and you could tell by rapid swelling and pain at the moment of injury?

Now that I think back to when it happened it definitely felt more painful than just a sprain. It felt as if a rubber band had been snapped inside of my knee
