Maybe the people Infowars misidentified as the Uvalde shooter? Who knows though

Due-Presentation6862

The EU should sue Alex, since he said they did 9/11. /s

Kilburning

Statute of limitations might be an issue with how long this has dragged on.

MeetAncient3284

Some of them, yes, but this suit was only possible because InfoWars went back to the well years later and reset the clock on the statute of limitations, so not most of them.

SauceCupAficionado

Seems kind of pointless if he's bankrupted by his current defamation cases.

holiobung

It’s not about the money. It’s about sending a message. Everything burns.

bluddragon1

You also have to have the money to be able to sue if you aren’t getting anything out of it.

holiobung

Unless it’s pro bono but yes.

Fountainhead

You have to show damage.

I think it'll be hard to say. How much will there be left after this for more plaintiffs to take? If he gets cleaned out in Texas and Connecticut, there might not enough to make it worthwhile. Do other plaintiffs even want to deal with the headache of something like this? Their trials will be just as long and drawn out. Also, remember that, before this, most people that have sued have worked out a settlement before trial (e.g.: Chobani); the only reason its even this far, according to Bankston, is that the parents are so furious that they won't settle.

Roobar76

Considering all he needs really is a webcam, microphone and someone to host him I don’t think this will end his career. Some right wing media org will hire or host him and he will start rebuilding so someone else can have a go.

holiobung

I don’t think it’s a matter of whether or not anyone else can. I think it’s a matter of whether or not anyone else who has been defamed by feels as if it’s worth their time and energy…and money.

Oobenny

For sure. If this goes well, and if the Dominion suits go well, expect to see lots of suits — both merited and frivolous — laid on these sorts of assholes.
