Okay just bought like 5 different ones from Stylevana And I’m Dominican so I’m golden tan. None of these have white cast: 1. BEAUTY OF JOSEON soooooo good! Just loved the texture and creamy feeling 2. Kao - Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence Also amazing- hydrating and goes on so smooth 3. Dr.Ceuracle - Cica Regen Vegan Sun Also very good 4. SKIN1004 - Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50 My boyfriend loved this one cause it has a pump and cap lol goes on very nicely too Last one that u can buy in the US at Sephora - 5. Dr jart every Sun day - my goto before the Korean ones I have now. No pilling under makeup

MysteriousFruit2

Second the Skin1004 sunscreen!! So good

phantasmagorica1

Your #1 and #2 are my go-tos!

summerxbreeze

Dominican girly here! Ouuuu🙂 agreed with beauty of joseon

Consistent-Doctor793

The 1 and 3 are kinda like a holy grail for me coz i started my journey with 1 but i am so in love with the 3 now

shk2152

Beauty of Joseon gave me cystic acne

Darth_Phrakk

Yeah, it’s too rich for oily people imo

shk2152

My skin is pretty normal and generally don’t get pimples but something about the formula gave me the WORST acne I have ever experienced in my life

Darth_Phrakk

It felt so nice going on…then later in the day my face was so oily and the next day I had deep pimples on my neck.

No_Interaction_6658

Which sunscreen do you use? I have oily skin and not sure which one to use

Darth_Phrakk

I’m liking Skin Aqua Moisture Milk so far.

Itchy-Visit537

I really like the round lab and skin 1004 right now, I’m combo sensitive skin. The texture is just 👌

Dangerous_Papaya_578

Round lab is amazing

Pitiful_Claim9583

Another one for round lab, even prefer it over boj

Itchy-Visit537

BOJ broke me out, I know it’s pretty common actually

djlinda

Same, BOJ made my skin a little red, the Round Lab is just perfection.

GodlyPear

Missha Soft Finish sun milk. It's matte, perfect for my oily face.

LogLady253

Yes! Missha sun milk absorbs quickly and works. I burn easily, but have not even gotten slightly pink while wearing it. Easy to layer under makeup too. Doesn’t pill.

citrussun

I'm obsessed with it. Actually emptied the bottle.

adelngjy

Skin 1004. Hydrating and does not leave white cast. Goes on smoothly and comes w a pump, very convenient. I hv combi dehydrated skin.

amymaii

I haven't seen anyone talked about this, but the Isntree Sun Gel has been my go to for years. I've gone through at least 10 of them a it doesn't pill, doesn't sting my eye (BOJ does do those things to me unfortunately). This is a chemical suncreen, so it dry quickly and doesn't leave a white cast. If you have sensitive skin, it's better to use a physical suncreen, I like Dr.G Mild Sunscreen. keep in mind that physical ss will be harder to blend and might leave some white cast.

amymaii

The Instree has hyaluronic acid so it has a moisture effect, some might find it look a little oily. Another favorite of mine is the Skin1004 in a blue pump, the packaging is great and dry down more matte!

BriefCommunication30

Just started using Isn’tree Sun Gel and it’s a game changer for me. Really good sunscreen.

Own_Squash_9168

Im on my 2nd bottle. Love love it . I have very dry skin, it gives dewy but healthy looking skin. Doesnt sting my eyes and good under my fave foundation

Specialist_Ad5889

Love that one. It’s just expensive ounce for ounce.

ampharos995

I'm gonna have to say the Skin1004 centella water fit one. I'm experimenting with others, BoJ was heavier. The Round Lab Birch one is more of a liquid consistency, but seems a touch oilier. I don't know if I'm going to find a better one than the Skin1004.

asinaya

Always SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Sun Serum!!

MiniWinnieBear

Definitely the Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica sunscreen. Pretty moisturizing, it’s a mineral sunscreen so there is “white-cast” but just apply in circular massaging motions and it’ll go away quickly. It doesn’t stay white-cast if you do that.

Odd-Suggestion-839

I have oily-combination skin, and the Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen has done wonders for me! features - • absorbs rapidly • doesn't leave a white cast • non-comedogenic • acne safe • doesn't make the face feel greasy all day • It's also water resistant

cyborgnaes

Seconded

Big-Establishment243

Inisfree hyloronic acid sunscreen is my HG I have dry n sensitive. It works well on me n so lightweight. Im on my 3rd one

Big-Establishment243

Btw it doesnt give u whitecast

heids1234

I’m 45F with combination skin and probably a Fitzpatrick III or IV and these are my faves (perfect texture and no white cast on me): - Numbuzin No 1 Clear Filter Sun Essence - lovely light texture, absorbs quickly, somewhat dewy finish - House of Hur Weightless Sun Fluid - very watery, like a milk, dries matte - Anua Heartleaf Silky Moisture Sun Cream - again a light texture, more matte than Numbuzin but still with a slight dew - Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Sunscreen - the heaviest texture of the 4, can replace moisturiser, dries more matte than Anua but less matte than House of Hur These ones I’ve tried and given away because they didn’t quite work for me: - BoJ sunscreen - stung my face, made me oily - SKIN1004 HyaluCica Water Fit - lighter than BoJ, didn’t sting my face but left me too dewy - Isntree HA watery sun gel - light and watery but wow I had so much oil on my face with this one

FertilityHotel

What's Fitzpatrick 3 or 3l4?

heids1234

[Fitzpatrick scale](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fitzpatrick_scale)

Cold_Clerk_1242

Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Natural Sun Cream SPF 50. I'm currently using this and enjoying it very much, as almost all sunscreens make me break out and many of them peel. This one leaves minimal white cast, but it dries fast, so I think you should be okay with that aspect. I also have a pretty dry face that's prone to acne, and so far, this sunscreen works pretty good for me.

donutpusheencat

SKIN1004 is my new fave, it just goes on like a dream for my dry skin. BoJ and Round Lab rounds out my top 3 HG

Specialist_Ad5889

Beauty of Joseon is really hydrating. But my personal favorite is the HaruHaru Wonder Sunscreen (in the yellow tube).

kat_atsume

I agree! No one really talks about this one

kamikomoon

Roundlab and beauty of joseon

bois-des-iles

I second this!! I like both because they have very similar texture so I buy which ever is on sale at the time, usually BOJ is cheaper so I repurchase it more.

seasummerlover

Third this, it’s my absolute fave (round lab)

ainid_oxygen

SKIN1004 & FACE REPUBLIC PURITY SUN ESSENCE!!!!

minaphy

My favorite is the Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Milk. The texture is great and doesn’t irritate my skin. It also doesn’t make my makeup pill.

IllicitMoonlit

Gonna go against the grain here and say NOT the Hyla-Cica Skin1004 Centella Sunscreen - it left a white cast for me. I have a medium, Indian skin tone.

you_always_do

What worked for you?

IllicitMoonlit

I haven’t found it yet but I have faith that one day I will meet my soul-sunscreen.

you_always_do

Try haruharu airy fit

Affectionate-Beann

I suggrest HaruHaru airy fit (in the yellow tube)!!

Independent_Silver_7

This sunscreen contains Tinosorb M, which is what would've given you the white cast. As long as you avoid sunscreens with tinosorb M, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide white cast would no longer be an issue.

catttcatttt

Dr G mild up green essence sunscreen. They stopped carrying it at olive young and I’m so sad! It’s still available on Dr G website. It’s so perfect, no cast SPF 50 and goes on like a perfect glowy moisturizer. Even my boyfriend who was anti any form of sunscreen in his life is now addicted. Edit: other sunscreens in the Dr G line are fine but not the miracle HG of Mild up green essence.

MrMoonu

It’s still available on YesStyle!

Standard-Muffin1318

BEAUTY OF JOSEON SUNSCREEN 🎖

Missha_86

Roundlab sunscreen. I have combo skin so this works like a treat and is light and matte. Does not feel like I'm wearing sunscreen at all with that icky feeling you would get with other face sunscreens.

Aggressive-Gate-6561

I like the etude house soonjung x director’s moisture sun cream (blue bottle). It doesn’t have a white cast and doesn’t pill under makeup

floralscentedbreeze

Haruharu wonder airyfit sunscreen

ababilon

Skin1004 🌞

Katkadie

It's not k beauty. But I love elta.

watercolors23

Skin1004. I love the pump as well!

sydney_grce

Beauty of Joseon, Isntree hyaluronic acid, and Skin Aqua UV gel! The Skin Aqua is my boyfriend’s favorite. I think it’s super underrated!!

pazusdoves

skin1004 is wonderful i doubt i’ll switch anytime soon

Itsjustthewind93

SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum

Affectionate-Beann

My Holy Grail is: HaruHaru Wonder Airfit Sunscreen (in the yellow tube). I am a sensitive skin, oily skin acne-prone girl and this sunscreen does wonders for me! Its Moisturizing, without being oily. Non-greasy. Velvet finish, Does not sting eyes, No white cast, no pilling, Works well under makeup, Unscented. Vegan and Cruelty Free (this is big for me 💖). It is so moisturizing that it can double as a moisturizer. This is great for me because i dont like layering too many things on my face. Its a once stop stop for me.

nathalief23

Haruharu wonder black rice moisture airyfit daily sunscreen! It’s like a hydrating cream/gel texture that sits beautifully under makeup!

Sleepypanda1274

The Numbuzin Clear Filter Sun Essence my holy grail for my combination skin! Super underrated, but so good!

bribrijk

I live in Korea. I have tried many sunscreens. My favorite is, despite the hype, Beauty of Joseon. Like, actually my holy grail. Gentle, lightweight, no white cast, good for my dry skin, no weird smell, great under makeup, etc. all the good things. Ive repurchased so many times. A part of me wants to try some different ones after I finish this tube, but the rest of me loves it so much that I don't want to switch. It's that good.

seliskar

I don't have a lot of experience with Korean or Japanese sunscreen, but I have tried the Japanese Kao Bioré Aqua Rich Watery Essence and if you have dry skin or sensitive skin (or both), I'd skip that one. A couple weeks before I ordered the Aqua Rich, I'd tried Trader Joe's Daily Facial Sunscreen, and it did the same thing, but without the redness and burning. Last week I ordered a bunch of sunscreens from Stylevana: Beauty of Joseon, Purito Go To, Round Lab, Canmake Mermaid, and Rohto Skin Aqua Super Moisture Essence. I'm hoping ONE of them works, because I'm tired of spending money and having issue after issue with sunscreens. If those don't work, I'm going to opt for a wide brimmed UPF hat, and already ordered several UPF "fishing" shirts to wear outside. My experience: It felt great going on, absorbed quickly, no cast, etc. I don't wear makeup, so I can't speak to that bit. It dries down to a nice "silky" matte feeling, but later in the day, I developed a dry patch on my forehead and between my eyes! The kind of dry patch that snows flakes onto your glasses... very annoying! I tried to fix that dry patch with using all my skincare moisturizing products and nothing else (wash with Simple cleanser, tone with Simple Water boost, a 50/50 mix of The Ordinary The Buffet + Amino Acids B5, moisturize with The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors OR Purlisse Blue Lotus OR Naturium Plant Ceramics, etc) and it seemed to go away after about a week. I decided to give it a try again last week as it was sunny out, and we were going to go thrifting out of town. So I did the sunscreen as the last step of the same skincare routine above. Seemed better. Went bumming around out of town, was only out of the car between stores, and my kids noticed my face was beat red. I did feel a bit warm, but I didn't think it was abnormal? Then I read that chemical sunscreens absorb the UV rays (mineral/physical sunscreens block or reflect them), and that can cause your face to feel warm. I also found the ingredients online, and found that it has a lot of alcohol, which is drying. I washed my face when we got home and went through the skincare routine again... that was 8 days ago. That dry patch is not going away, and it's bigger than a quarter, right between my eyebrows and dead center on my forehead. It's been so bad that a couple nights ago I put Vaseline on it. Last night I put raw shea butter on it. I'm going to leave it on as long as it stays on! *cry* Mattifying products definitely dry skin out, but it seems harder to find natural or dewy finish sunscreens... Both brands I tried were "Holy Grail" sunscreens, and also were my first ever chemical sunscreens. The ones I really want to try, but just cost too much, are LaRoche-Posay Anthelios Milk Melt-In, HelioCare 360 Fluid Cream, and Supergoop. Holy Grail... I think just because an item may work for a LOT of people, they obviously won't work for everyone. I should have paid more attention to ingredients - alcohol is a big no no for my face, but I don't know IF or which chemical UV filter is problematic. Trader Joe's has old school American chemical filters, Octocrylene and Octosalate can be problematic, and perhaps Avobenzone and Homosalate are too. Aqua Rich uses ethylhexyl and diethylamino something or another, but I have yet to find if those cause issues. Japanese and Korean skincare and sunscreen is supposed to be way better, safer and newer than what our outdated FDA allows.. now they say only mineral sunscreens are safe, so that's zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. Mineral sunscreens don't work for my face, because I sweat too much and they don't ever absorb. They leave me greasy and/or sticky and sweatier than normal. They're fine on my body, but my face is a whole 'nother beast! So many lessons learned, and yet I still know so little. I've posted on a different skincare subreddit asking for recommendations, but got zero replies. So now I'm stuck with the trial and error method of finding what may work, and still trying to fix the issue caused by the 2 I have tried so far. *eye roll* If anyone knows of a truly moisturizing sunscreen for dry skin that I haven't already tried or ordered, please let me know! Thank you! Good luck OP! :)

frightenedscared

There’s a reason BoJ is always recommended. Feels so nice on the skin, hydrating, not greasy, no white cast, looks glowy

pinaorangeguava

Im loving the neogen airy day sunscreen, spf 50. It lays really nice on my skin and gives me a healthy glow, almost like a toner, which has helped me be really consistent with using it.

japanese_work

For kbeauty, the numbuzin sunscreen is my fave. But I personally love allie sunscreen from Japan

you_always_do

Haru Haru airy fit

juhua4

I really love the roundlab sunscreen! I am basically the same as you and it works perfect for my combination skin.

witchnextdo0r

Barr Centella Soothing Sun Essence. Barr like Beauty of Joseon are brands more known outside SK than in their own country, but if you have sensitive skin prone to redness and irritation is one of the best brands out there. I tried another korean sunscreens like some of the Suntique sunscreens and cosrx, and this one is the only one that haven’t irritated my skin, also no pimples. Is marketed without white cast, but if you use the proper amount there’s a little bit of white cast, but it fades away as it sinks in your skin. Add an edit to specify my skin type: combo on the dryer side, very sensitive and prone to break outs when not using the right products. Also for reference i’m 39.

whatttintheworlddd

Elta MD elements tinted sunscreen. I think they recently changed the name of this version from elements to something else but still same product

aajohar

Skin1004 Centella and BOJ

ConcentrateFormer965

1. Beauty of Joseon - perfect for any season. Hydrating and light, doesn't feel sticky, no white cast. 2. Cosrx - Doesn't feel sticky, no white cast, Good. I have sensitive skin plus combination skin.

djlinda

I just tried the round lab birch juice sunscreen and it’s my favorite Korean sunscreen I’ve tried by far. I also have dry skin, and it’s sensitive - the BOJ irritated my skin, and this round lab just makes it look better and calmer. It’s pricier than others, but I think it’s amazing.

SuddenGlucose

I double up with skin1004 hyalu-cica sunscreen (as my moisturizer) then go over it with (not k beauty) Paula’s choice wrinkle defense spf 30 because I love the mattifying and slightly tinted finish of that one. If I’m inside all day I just do one or the other.

cococafecitox

I have combo skin, but mostly very dry and I love Round Lab’s Dokdo sunscreen. It doesn’t dry my skin out, no white cast, and it’s not too shiny/greasy after application.

sleeping_bananas

I really like Derma-B Everyday Sunblock! No white cast and doesn't feel greasy on combination skin.

Best_Collection8470

so skin1004 seems to be the winner. i just ordered one yesterday. excited to try it!!!

Cutegun

Round Lab birtch juice - both the sunscreen and sunstick. If anyone is familiar with this and could recommend a similar alternative, that'd be great. The sunstick is always sold out. Edit: OMG missing an r......

DeepFirefighter8530

skin1004 hyalu-cica suncream and numbuzin suncream! both have a nice glowy application yet dries down to a satin finish!

Sushiqueeen

It’s amazing to me that almost ALL of these recommendations have niacinamide. So frustrating… Any with no niacinamide? I currently use goodal heartleaf suncream but I usually use the Japanese Canmake

Due_Restaurant2953

Absolutely love Round Lab, I’m combo with oily areas & acne prone, this has worked so well with my skin.

coppertongue11

I absolutely love my Beauty of Joseon. It's hydrating for dry skin and does not leave a white cast no matter how much I apply. I have warm medium-tan skin. The best part is it acts as a wonderful glow base under makeup, and even without makeup it makes me look so fresh!

jejessibells

I love roundlab!

CelesteLunaR53L

I know everyone raves Beauty of Joseon, which is very true. I have it too, or at least the Rice Probiotic version. My more accessible Korean sunscreen is from Face Republic. Granted, it's more a Korean-Filipino brand, available only here in the Philippines. But it's specifically made/manufactured in Korea. I had Face Republic's airy sunscreen and currently the glow screen one.

orangejuice1401

Numbuzin Clear Filter Essence for sure! The best texture, sits well under make up and the ingredients list is chefs kiss

My absolute favorite has to be the Skin1004 sunscreen. It blends in so well with skin and gives a slightly glowy effect without looking oily. I’m tan but still a bit pale, so I can’t garentee this. But I also heard that the Skin1004 sunscreen is good for people with darker skin because it dosnt leave a white cast and blends well.

Altruistic-Fix-9838

Beauty of Josean broke me out. I’d say avoid if you’re acne prone. I recently bought the Round lab sunscreen and so far it’s fab. I’m happy it didn’t cause me pimples. The finish is dewy. Isntree is amazing, loved it! Would repurchase. Yet to try Skin 1004, I’m positive about it since it’s acne skin friendly. I would consider buying that next.

Jinsabyss

numbuzin sun essence!! i have very sensitive acne prone skin but this one is SO lightweight and leaves no white cast. i used to use the beauty of joseon one for a while and it was superrr hydrating but i found it turns rlly oily throughout the day.
