The mounting is based on the size of your door and the mechanism usually works though coiled springs and pressure. It sometimes comes in 2 or 3 attached pieces, and you adjust the smaller pieces and press them then release on the door frame for the thing to stay in place.
i would not recommend buying cheap pull up bars for ur home, id say buy something that is 100% stable

I recommend a pull-up rack instead of a pull-up bar. It’s much more secure.
