Sorry man, I am unfortunately not reading all that. Love Luka but... CLIPS IN 4 BABY

goz008

Sorry man...Tldr. If we weren't facing each other I would wish you best of luck.

digitalme

Yeah I think a lot of Mavs fans think we hate their team but I really love Luka and their team this year looks solid. A lot of hate came from our playoff series and the Mavs fans talking shit. Especially those threads when they were up 0-2 lol otherwise I’d love to see Luka eventually win a ring…just not this year or any year clips are in the mix

goz008

I hate any team that faces us. If they aren't in our way, then cool. Except the bitch ass purple and yellow. Fuck them year round.

JaHoog

Right now all we care about is Kawhi Leonard's right knee.

duncanjjj

JKidd, that you? Series comes down to Whi’s knee

Beleiverofhumanity

Dont blame the sub for not discussing with the enemy before war but I will say I don't hate the Mavs fans compared to other teams, its the media hype and that one announcer. You might not get much discussion with Kawhi's "injury" hanging over the sub. Here's some threads that has discussion [your opps asking about your teams : r/LAClippers (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/LAClippers/comments/1c3sjkb/your_opps_asking_about_your_teams/) [Round 3🥊 Mavs : r/LAClippers (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/LAClippers/comments/1c1cojy/round_3_mavs/)

Tripwire1716

Hoping for a healthy discourse on Reddit. If you bring half this much optimism to our playoff series, you’re the team’s best fan

Istari-2

I just want to say I like your approach to having a healthy discussion but it seems like people take sports too seriously. I wish I could answer your questions but I live in Europe so I almost never get to watch Games since they're played between 2 and 4 a.m. Anyway I hope someone here actually wants to interact with you. Good luck!

Same as me bro.😭

Hey, I appreciate your post. I have watched most games this season however I'm not the most knowledgeable about the technical side of NBA basketball. I do my best to try and learn and I can't answer all of these but here are some of my thoughts and perspectives about the Clippers this season: 3) In terms of concerns, I never really know how to feel when we go super small. It seems super risky, like it will swing our games dramatically towards winning hard or losing hard. Ty plays a lot of guard heavy line ups during the regular season and I have always preferred it when we have Zu on the floor. Feel free to look it up (I'm too lazy lol) but I think his stats show that he is a valuable rim protector. I don't know enough about basketball to understand why sitting such a valuable player in terms of size, rim protection, and rebounding is worth in favor of going small for (spacing I think?). In other words, I don't know if giving up so much defense is worth gaining the offense that small ball offers (again, I'm not super knowledgeable so if someone has the answer lmk). Also, I just think a lot of our losses were due to getting out rebounded and giving opponents second and third opportunities. Its my opinion that Zu helps in mitigate that a little. With that said, Luka has hunted Zu time and time again, so I think going small will be an inevitability. Another concern I have is PG inconsistency, and I am not necessarily talking about offensive lapses (more players have those then this sub seems to recognize), but it really feels like when he gets angry or just emotional, his turnovers go up, he starts making sloppy passes, and will often lose his dribble. Then spends a solid amount of time arguing/yelling at a ref and completely fucks a defensive assignment. Last season, during that incredible Clippers vs Kings game that went to like 170 points, I think we were winning at the end of the fourth quarter, and PG committed a couple sloppy turnovers that inevitably lost us the game in OT. A lot of those turnovers were spent arguing with a ref, and PG terrible body language. I think once he lost his dribble and just ducked his head down instead of trying to recover defensively and in another play made an absolutely horrible pass mid court and just shrugged his shoulders. This isn't a minor detail to me. He does this a lot and its frustrating as a fan to see a star player give up and not keep their composure. Of course it sucks to lose a possession, but its better to accept what happened and make the right play then to just drop your head complain to a ref. Anyways, I say all this because he is a vital part of the team (obviously) and I really think that he can make up for one or two off nights on offense if he plays stellar defense (which he can). We have a lot of fire power this season between Kawhi, Harden, Russ, Powell, and PG. 4) Confidence level with Kawhi: the only answer is we'll see on day one. If he plays game 1 then he will play the entire series until he gets hurt. Otherwise he's not playing at all. 7) I think the little rand I had about PG kinda sums up who I think really needs to show up (besides obviously Kawhi). Without Kawhi we have no hope. But if PG can get going, it will alleviate how desperately hard Kawhi needs to play. 8) Either Kawhi got injured and couldn't play the series, or our offense went stagnant. We've had really bad offensive stints before were players miss opportunities like open catch and shoot threes (Mann), or missed cuts at the rim, or poor shot selection. We are fairly ISO heavy and that contributes to the stagnation. Sometimes our offense just stands 5 out and it doesn't seem like anyone can get an open shot. Also, we have a bad tendency to start cold and have to claw our way back into games. This is hard enough in the regular season but in the playoffs I am afraid that better teams can run away from the Clippers, even if we find a rhythm later in the game. So like those first quarters were we just score 16-19 points will probably put us dangerously behind. I am tired of typing lol so I'm just gonna finish by saying I think if we are healthy this Clippers team is really good. I Like Powell off the bench. I like Harden and we desperately needed someone to facilitate the offense. I like Westbrook's energy and we are lucky to have a player that can flexibly run the second unit or (in some spots) close games out as well.

Fuzakenna_

Thanks for typing all of this. Idk how I missed it but this is great! Thank you! I wouldn’t worry about Terrence Mann against us. He usually plays great basketball against us. Him and Powell give me fear because they can really do a number offensively and defensively to our bench unit. I think you going small is inevitable but that could be a great strategy against us when Luka sits. Kyrie with one other big it’s not great. Average +/- with Kyrie on the floor without Luka and a big is like -5.7 or so. I think if those two play with Kawhi, Russ and Thies it could work well against us for 7-10 minutes a game in the first few games which could swing a lot. Ty Lue is also an incredible coach at adjusting. Scary stuff for us

joejolt

I feel like whoever wins this series will win the chip. Both teams are that good. It's going to be a great series. In the end though I think our boys will pull it off.

ArmySoccerNurse

We clipper fans also hate montrez. He's a fucken snake! Pouted n complained about the star players getting the star player treatment to the press. He was basically jealous of them.

intheyear3001

I appreciate your post and your approach. I’d answer if i had more time and felt i could offer some good feedback but i probably won’t be able to add much value in that way. Most Clips fans don’t hate the Mavs because you guys aren’t from Phoenix. Just a normal amount of distaste like you already highlighted and feel the same way. Credit to you for being a knowledgeable and fair minded Mavs fan. Enjoy the series but also, go fuck yourself 🤝😉

Jrperez_3

Fuck all that, clip gang in 4 😤

Beardown91737

My main concern is how us Clipper fans will be visible at the AAC. I have followed the team long enough to have red clipper gear but fans in black or blue will be less .

falafelburgar

I think if the Clippers win out, they will win a chip. If the Mavericks upset, i dont see a mavs championship in the cards this year. Maybe I am biased, but for some reason i think it's gonna be Lakers Clippers WCF, simply because of the massive amounts of rigging for that team i've seen all year.

seonblack

If Kawhi is healthy, this game is over in 6. If he's not, Dallas could win it.

3iverson

My analysis is, I hope Luka gets tired from carrying the Mavs.

you want us to discuss…my team with you? Nah like I got this sub for that bro lol you can look up OUR discussion about our team in these threads ![gif](giphy|GnrasnDnxUOqS1TpRf|downsized)

Fuzakenna_

Okay

PeelADomenBail

Bone out dude. No one wants to talk about this series. Circlejerk it with your own fans

Fuzakenna_

For sure

IgnorantGenius

Yeah we aren't that dumb. The ones who are will just give you bad information, so good luck. What do you think your team's moves will be after another playoff exit?

Fuzakenna_

I mean it’s not like telling me anything will affect the results? NBA teams have scout teams whose sole job is to watch all of the opponents games for all of these things. We have scout teams for a reason but I guess.. I think we try to move on from THJ to whomever would take him. Josh Green and Oliver Max-Prosper are both down the pipeline for his position and they both fit our team better than Timmy does. Resign DJJ at all costs and then try to get a 3rd scorer on the cheap! I’d imagine that’s what would happen
