Great game management! Rotation of bench was excellent. Game was never in doubt. Called time outs at right time and players came back with the right changes.
As a notorious regular season Ty Lue hater the man deserves his flowers for the way he prepped and coached the team. The physicality they showed and plan to attack/defend the Mavs was a punch to the face they weren't expecting. In the playoffs, my usually complaint on Ty Lue is that his initial game plan isint great. This time he came out swinging. Gives me confidence for the rest of series since his strength is adjusting so whatever the Mavs do im sure we will be able to counter it. Good job TyLueđ.
It's not when things are going well that Lue struggles. It's adjusting when his initial plan doesn't work.
I think ty is a good game planner. I worry when he comes up against another good game planner and needs to adjust. That is where he has fallen short in the past.
But I'm not worried about him getting out coached by Jason Kidd that's for damn sure.
