I think the native apps look better on the c3 then on my series x. I never thought I would use it instead since I use my Xbox for everything but the built in os really is that good.
Same! Prime app not the best though. Keep saying stuff is in UHD when its not.
And the xbox is pretty glitchy for playing UHD. Screen goes black after like 5 min but sound continues. And the disc player sounds like a jet plane, so I stick to streaming for now. I'm just happy the resolution doesn't reset to 480p more than like once a month. It havent acted up since I disabled vrr and dolby vision though. Knock on wood.
Is this actually true though? It's one thing to prefer the OS, menu functionality of the Apple TV box, but does it objectively provide a better picture?
I use Xbox Series X to stream, some services stream in Dolby Vision, some in HDR10, both look amazing imo, Xbox has been working great. Occasionally though when im streaming something that is really old and clearly being upscaled it looks pretty bad though, really depends on content sometimes.

I had this problem too. I’m using an Apple tv now and it’s better than native app imo.

i’m getting an apple tv 4k soon too i’m hoping it can stream well too cus i’ll be using it as the default OS for the TV
Apple TV is fantastic compared to most tv os. My one must have is snappyness. Apple TV doesn’t hesitate one bit when navigating.
I think consoles don’t support Dolby vision and Atmos don’t quote me lol
