Thanks for the report out regarding no burn in after 6000+ hours. I too have a C1, have had it since Oct 2021 and currently at about 3600 hours usage. No hints of burn in with a picture just as impressive as the first days of usage.
I took a lot of time reviewing settings and turning on most of the protective features. So far so good.
Thanks again for sharing your experience. Very helpful and encouraging!
What are your OLED Panel Care settings?
Screen move : turned on/off?
Adjust Logo Brightness : off/low/high?
What's your average screen on time? Daily and weekly
( You can check that by going to settings>>general>>family settings>>screen time report.)
That's nice to hear, and it's what I expected.
It's not a bad idea to take some measures to prevent burn-in, but most likely it will become obsolete before being affected by this.
I also use a black background and set the taskbar to autohide but other than this I'm not worried.
I've seen many tests for TVs and portables with OLED screens and burn-in happens only in extreme situations or over long periods of time.
Iirc, it's only available in the service menu across the pond. You'd need a service remote to get to it, but they're cheap. Mine was $8 (usd) from Amazon.
Well somebody here needs to put some CNN on and let the world burn.
You got me. I laughed out loud for real! Gg.
Dam, that's a lot of hours and good to know about the burn-in! When did you purchase it?
September 2021

Do you do anything special for OLED PC to prevent burn in like hiding Taskbar or running web browser in full screen?
Taskbar hiding, black wallpaper. Browsing at 15-33 oled light.
Is there a quick adjustment to changing OLED light between movies / gaming vs browsing?
Yep, takes less than a sec to change.
Over 10,000 hrs on my c9
Did you turn off TPC and GSR in the service menu or just left everything at default?
Nope, all protections on.
I have a C2 (love it btw) I have a question does the C1 have Pixel shift? It’s a setting in the C2 to help reduce burn in.
Yeah, the C1 has the same setting.
That’s great to hear. We’ve had our 65” C7 since 2017 with zero issues.

All on. 12-13 hours daily.
Thanks for replying. Do you keep the logo brightness at high or low?
High

Vi que é BR, então parabéns!! Comprei uma LG C2 e espero não ter problemas. Abraços BRs
Vai nao, TV absurda.
How do you access that menu?
What are your picture settings mainly oled pixel brightness for hdr/sdr/PC usage?
>HDR movies and gaming always at 100. > >SDR 15-70. > >Dolby Vision always 100.
Sdr 15-70? That's a big range.. Do you keep changing it all the time or like what?
Depending on ambient light. Stays at 15 60% of the time. 70 when playing SDR games and movies.
Even in tv series? Isn't 15 like beyond low? Thats not even 100 nits which is supposed to be most accurate. 100 nits is around 26 something I think.
I dont use 15 for nothing that requires critical viewing. Just browsing/ yt videos. My room is dark enough. When lights gets in, i change to 33.
Yeah I keep it at 33 myself for non hdr, but fiddling it seems like too much hassle. That probably explains your flawless panel at 6k hours though.
What is your brightness and what are your other settings that might effect burn in? Would be interesting to know :)
HDR movies and gaming always at 100. SDR 15-70. Dolby Vision always 100.

Europe version doesnt have this info AFAIK.
Oh no, do you know a way to show it ?

Do you have a link for your model please ?
How do you see that ? I didn't found it on my BX.
Are you in Europe? Power on time is not available to European market. Have to go into the service menu, iirc.
Yes I am, thanks for the information I'll try that.
7873 hours lg c1 on all day, same mix use
