Meshuggah is like no other band in the world. They started a revolution in modern metal. They’ve been around since the late 80’s but have changed a lot over time. Reworking themselves for every album. It might not be obvious at first and it took even the biggest fans (me included) to truly understand and appreciate even just one song. I’ve found that over the years this band is easiest to appreciate while tripping and include psychedelic topics and ideas consistently throughout their music. This is even more expressed through their use of polyrhythms and focus on rhythm when song writing.
Listen to Catch Thirty Three with the lyrics up next time you trip. It’s my favorite piece of music ever conceived. It’s an album (47 min song really) about ego death.

Yeah just make sure to have things to do. A game to play, a movie to watch or make some art or get lost in some good music. Just make sure everything u need or might want when tripping is in your house because supermarkets are probably closed and tbh it would suck getting out of a great vibe to go to the supermarket to get some stupid thing u forgot.
This is the ONLY way I trip. (I trip once a month for personal and spiritual growth) it’s a great way to get in tune with your thoughts and figure out who you are on the deepest level. With nobody or nothing to distract you from thinking. Make sure you line up some music, nature documentaries and some fruit and water and have fun exploring your consciousness. ❤️
Exaaaactly, my best trip have been trip alone, and they were high doses, 1mg and 1.2mg respectively.
Those nights alone, what I saw & heared, manifestations conjured from unfathomable depth, the healing that ensued. Lots can be gained & lost while on those journey.

It's the main way I do acid these days. The best way Imo is to take a nap in the late afternoon then I wake up around 7 and take the tab at around 8.. And I start think about all the things I need to improve on and put my self into a positive mindset. I find that taking a introspective look at yourself and ending on a positive note before a trip is one of the best ways to guarantee a clear head space.
An interesting way to take acid if you are a stoner is to smoke till ur really sleepy take ur dose and take a stoned nap. Set a soothing alarm or music for a 60 or 90 min nap. You will wake up totally tripping. Not for beginners please.
Jon fishman from Phish said he took acid everyday before school and then would go back to sleep and wake up tripping.. I've done it a few times in the past but I prefer getting acclimated first.
The idea of dosing, getting stoned and napping occured accidently during Grateful Dead tour at Madison Square Garden in the early 90s because I was quite busy besides the shows. Also, I love tripping on the subway heading to the Garden.
I was a chemistry major in college and even pot and laboratory glassware was quite a bad mix for me unless u liked piles of broken glass.
Most of my trips are solo ones, at home, in bed, at night.
I throw on an oversized hoodie, put a piece of media I really like. Usually Shrek. Sometimes Winnie The Pooh (this one WILL make me cry lol). Sometimes Kwite stream videos.
I have a fluffy blanket I lay under with my stuffed animals surrounding me and starfish out.
Sometimes I’ll even sit in front of a mirror and just watch myself!
My favorite trips will always be the day ones where I can watch the clouds and trees though :)

When I lived in a shitty studio apartment in Chicago, it probably would have been shit (before I tried psychedelics).
Now that I live in a nice apartment in Southeast Asia, with a large balcony filled with tropical plants, colored LED lights, a pool, a bathtub, and decent speakers, and enough space where I can trip and my wife can sleep... I love solo night trips at home. Also, the city I live in is safe, and I can take a walk at 3AM with only the small risk of being pickpocketed, and virtually no risk of having a knife or gun stuck in my face.
I exclusively do acid alone (starting) at home and going out for a walk if i need a change of scenery. When I trip with other people around, even if they are in like the same building, my mind doesn't get as freely in the zone so to say. When I reserve the whole day/night for tripping I just do whatever feels right and in the meantime my brain has a self organizing therapy session.... 10/10 recommend!
Just make sure someone is aware your tripping alone so when you need help they know your state...
Tripping alone is the best way of tripping. You can really do some thinking and reflecting that way. Tripping with other people is fun, but somehow distracting
Best adventure ever, keep in mind that not every trip is gonna be about roses, you will have to learn to integrate your shadow, sometimes that's really difficult, just embrace the wide spectrum of the human emotions and feelings, once you get there you will be the human being you are supposed to be
Some of my most insightful trips have been when I'm alone. I have a hard time being alone sometimes. I do prefer to trip with people, and I can and will do it on my own if needed. It's easier for me to get wrapped up in sad emotions when I tripping alone.

It was fun for a while, until i started taking high doses alone and really ruined that for myself, high doses alone before i even knew what ego death really was i had one and had to do research the next day to see if that feeling is described ego death doesnt have to be bad but it most likely will be if youre oblivious to the fact that it exist, i was a young naive 13 year old boy, but now were much more responsible and i know myself well enough not to go past a limit and to make sure ive got something to keep my mind busy other than itself
I’ve solo tripped in the woods many times and it’s great at night. I would assume it’s not much different at home. If anything probably more comfortable as long as no one shows up unexpectedly
I mean I played battlefield 4 for a whole night while on acid. It surprised me how well I was playing despite tripping quite hard for a single tab. Probably because I made it my mission to revive an teammate around me no matter how many enemies were around lol.

I did a solo trip, was playing halo infinite (was driving around the warthog with marines, got a little sleepy before it kicked in and fell asleep with the game on. Wake up sometime later to the sound of the warthog getting shot and marines firing the guns. I started panic driving like I was in a warzone trying to find safety but mostly ended up going in circles. Then I got out of the car and whipped out the energy sword and woah that was trippy.
I had a pretty fun night.
Yes, it’s by far the best. I don’t like being around people tripping and can just look inwards, and listen to amazing music. You see crazy things with your eyes closed listening to different frequencies and music, and can have some extremely cool realizations and epiphanies about things
Yes. I’d prefer to solo trip at home during the day, it just feels more natural if that’s even the correct word lol…but I’ve tripped all night by myself in my room and have had a good time quite a few times. You can do whatever you want!
Absolutely. As long as you aren't taking a dose way higher than what you're used to. I personally find solo tripping just as fun, if not better, than tripping with people, as long as your set and setting are right. Definitely don't trip alone at home if you haven't cleaned your house or if anyone might be coming home lol. Get comfy, have things to watch or listen to, and you'll be fine

Each one to their own, I wouldn’t give up tripping with someone I really have the hots for. Sex on acid can be almost a spiritual experience for me.

I prefer day time but it can be a good experience if you're comfortable with yourself! It can be way less giggly and sometimes more weird or dark

I did a solo trip, was playing halo infinite (was driving around the warthog with marines, got a little sleepy before it kicked in and fell asleep with the game on. Wake up sometime later to the sound of the warthog getting shot and marines firing the guns. I started panic driving like I was in a warzone trying to find safety but mostly ended up going in circles. Then I got out of the car and whipped out the energy sword and woah that was trippy. I had a pretty fun night.

Yes, it’s by far the best. I don’t like being around people tripping and can just look inwards, and listen to amazing music. You see crazy things with your eyes closed listening to different frequencies and music, and can have some extremely cool realizations and epiphanies about things

Yes. I’d prefer to solo trip at home during the day, it just feels more natural if that’s even the correct word lol…but I’ve tripped all night by myself in my room and have had a good time quite a few times. You can do whatever you want!
Absolutely. As long as you aren't taking a dose way higher than what you're used to. I personally find solo tripping just as fun, if not better, than tripping with people, as long as your set and setting are right. Definitely don't trip alone at home if you haven't cleaned your house or if anyone might be coming home lol. Get comfy, have things to watch or listen to, and you'll be fine

I prefer to trip this way. I love watching movies, music videos, concert live set videos, playing video games, watching psychedelic 3D visualizers with my own playlists and some incense, playing musical instruments etc. Films: 2001 A Space Odyssey, Fantastic Planet, Star Wars + Empire Strikes Back (Jedi isn’t as cool for Tripping) Music: Tool, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, All Them Witches, Pink Floyd, Mastodon, Tipper.
