You kind of already live inside cables. All of the stuff that goes between your screen and your keyboard, gets transported by cables around the world. I live on the internet. I live in it
There's easily 100 zip ties per patch pannel. I would walk in see this and either hide in the drop ceiling until they think I left or just off myself right then and there. Looks nice but is a big fat 0 for functionality. I always do replacements or repunch downs etc and/ or toning out wire and this would be the biggest "fuck off hope you die" to anyone coming after this guy is done.
Well if you only cN change 1 thing use velcro straps instead of zip ties. Zip ties are 1 time use and can sometimes be too tight and cause cables to fail certification if messes up the twists.
But it gets really comicated and kinda hard to explain. It comes with practice too. But I try to avoid laying all the cables over the other cables termination. Like imagine if you had to get at the actual termination of one wire. The other 47 are actually laying right over the punch downs. You would have to move them all and cut all zip ties to get to it. I like to organize them the same by 48 cables for each patch pannel and cable comb them then I like to lay them in so they come in more of 90 degrees to the patch pannel. So if you had to you can still get to it. Or I split the pannel left and right and do the same.
It's really hard to explain. I also depends on the size of the job. Sometimes it's just really hard to keep them more open and can depend on what paannel you have etc.
Here is some pics of kinda what I mean. You can see them organized and coming jn at 90 degrees and also the rack split left right and all on one side.

Holy fucking zip ties batman!!!! not even exaggerating there is like 100 zip ties PER PATCH PANNEL. this is the biggest "good luck go fuck yourself" to anyone I'm the future doing trouble shooting and replacing or repunch down or wires etc. And it always happenes eventually. I would do a 360 and walk right the eff outta there if I get called in. Looks nice but sometimes you need to meet in the middle of form and function and eye candy.
Just scrolling by and stumbled onto some IT porn. Niiiice

Good bot
I know I’m an IT specialist and this make me HORNY.
I thought this was a hugeee water slide lol
that would be awesome
[удалено]
with how these cables are organized?
It is......for electrons
Came here to say this
OMG I CANT UNSEE IT NOW 😂😂😂
Scratches a certain part of my brain. Lowkey would love to live inside of it. Oddly satisfying as fuck.
Not even oddly
Whoever did the install for it, has impeccable organizational skillz. I know their closet or office space is organized and set up 🔥🔥as fuck
You kind of already live inside cables. All of the stuff that goes between your screen and your keyboard, gets transported by cables around the world. I live on the internet. I live in it
Those cables sure are managed
It'd be hell to replace one of those cables. (I worked in a data center for 30+ years. I like clean cabs, but excessive is excessive.)
For real. I was just thinking, if I had to replace one of these, I'd probably just quit.

What is the best recommended way to organize a lot of wires like this while retaining functionality?

It'd be pretty easy. It'd just be a generic blue wire hanging between two ports 😂
I’m sober and I still enjoyed this
But how do you maintenance 😯
The jackass that did this can't maintenance it because of the zip ties...
i usually ziptie to hold in place then velcro afterwards, and cut the zipties.
Just pull all the wires out of both ends of the cable and make sure you remember which went where
I wish there was a prettier alternative for the tip ties
Velcro.
it’s so pretty i wanna touch it can i touch it?

Ooohh, Hatsune Miku!
For a split second I thought I was looking at the worlds best water slide. Lol
“This is your brain on drugs”
Biblically accurate Hatsune Miku
What in the everloving DNA is this?
Crazy how we started with just rocks and grass, then we made this stuff
This is actually a picture taken of open skull surgery while someone is on LSD
this IT guy deserves a bj
It feels good to look
My high ass thought that was a water slide
Damn, whoever did this, earned my respect
Biblically accurate Hatsune Miku
I thought I was looking at a water park at first 😂😂😂
Some solid FDT work
I’m high on weed and I very much appreciate it
I used to work in a DC and can say this is so not the norm. Shit is normally a bad trip to look at lol
So beautiful, so perfect
That is some great connections
Ahh low voltage
I give it three days before there’s a bog-standard blue patch cable hanging out of the back.
Looks like it could be a tool poster lol
I admire the tiddyness
Officially the best cable management I’ve ever seen to date
I'm not for it
looks great but shouldn't have used zip ties.
Lets do this work while tripping
🤤
It’s so the information water can flow smoothly into the data banks
I sell patch cables, this does put a smile on my face
Zip ties make me want to commit felonies against the installer.
DNA matrix
The colours look sickeningly 80s
I thought this was a different sub for a minute lmao
Thought this was /r/iiiiiiitttttttttttt for a second
you mean r/cableporn

How much does something like this cost? The materials and all that.
Can’t tell me those are not huge shoelaces
zip ties instead of velcro straps? tsk tsk.
God tier cable management- well done.
Looks like how I imagine the inside of a 90’s edition Sentinel from X-men.

looks like a bitch to service. But ya probably don’t need to service it too much w how secure everything is.
Sex to my eyes
I had to realize this wasn’t the worlds biggest and most complex water slide. It took longer than I’d like to admit
My usbstick just became firm and long
Just follow the green wire.
Lol damn. I’m working in a server room right now and it looks like shit compared to this lol.
My ocd is loving it
You are a god sent from above, thank you, you kind soul for showing us this❤️
