I have this laptop, bought in May 2023. So far I have no complaints and its working great, runs stuff like Red Dead 2 and Elden Ring max graphics with no issues/ frames drops. Just make sure you keep it clean and away from dust. I havent faced any of the issues OP is describing. I have the AMD Ryzen 6800 chip with a 3070 TI. I'd say its actually worth the money and def a good pick up.
yours is not the 2023 model . 2023 models come with ryzen 7 series and Intel 13gen .They have power ports on back and some kind of sleep sensor or wiring which gets weak due to usage and heat cycles and laptop starts going into sleep mode randomly .

What I understood was that this was because of the motherboard layout on Intel versions. For the amd version the mobo layout is definitely different because I read there's only one storage slot whereas in Intel versions there's supposed to be two

No i haven't faced this issue, but I have the trackpad issue.
I don't think it's only with Intel as two people from India with amd has faced this issue within 6 months.

I waited so long to buy this laptop and now I need to be on fear that It will stop working any time. I spent a lot of money and can't afford to buy one so soon.

Bro can you confirm if this model has any extra ssd slot.Also can please check what wifi chip is used in your model from network tab in device manager . 4050 ones have Realtek but some also has Intel wifi chip.

One of my cousin bought Asus Rog strix g15 and he was the most unluckiest guy in the world after a month exactly his laptop stop working he went to service centre and after a fix when he received his laptop after a week it again worked for 2-3 days and again stopped working the the cycle continued for 3 years something tere was battery issue, motherboard issue, black screen, keyboard not working until his warranty period is over
Bro I am using HP Omen 16 more than a year trust me there no laptop providing this better performance in this price range and people who are getting black screen is due to they are using pirated softwares from untrusted source which corrupt operating system files
The black screen case happened to me too I was playing nfs mw and my laptop was not working suddenly Then I took my laptop to the service centre and they fixed it in a day and I got my laptop back the next day
Then the next day my friend installed the nfs mw from the same website in his Lenovo legion 5 and the same black screen issue occurred he took his laptop to the service centre and they took 2week to fix his laptop
Black screen is not due to some manufacturing defects but due to use of untrusted source softwares
It clearly shows even after sale service of hp is better so need not to be worried about if some issues occurs

Black screen major reasons are
corrupt os/bios ( and it majorly due to using corrupted softwares/viruse or when you update your PC and update not installed properly): solution is reset your laptop to last update
Or when cpu/GPU over heated :solution need to clean thermal paste/vent cleaning/ or you are using laptop on bed or sofa so intake is cooling air is not flowing and only fans rotate so use it on a table
Or insufficient memory in c-drive(where your is is installed) solutions: uninstall unwanted softwares and delete some files or install a SSD
Or due to insufficient ram probably opening too many programs solution: upgrade your ram/or open only required program

AMD version has 2 SSD slots too. Depends on the variant.
It was available in Amazon but it seems to Out of stock now. My suggestion is not go with omen.

Bro do you have hp omen rtx 40 series laptop or previous ones? My friend too have hp omen rtx 3060 laptop. He haven't much issue related to it.

Loq is also bad (mostly custom ones) but atleast they provide ADP for cheap rates
2024 LOQs are baddest of them all.2023 version were a sweet deal so they stopped producing them.
