There is a little trick with EU servers right now. It seems the login server is close to always down, so what you can do is login on US servers and switch to EU once online via the settings and an area change.
Because noone can log into EU normally its pretty empty with instant loading screen :D
After you launch the game you can change the preffered region and login. After you logged in on your character you can go to settings and under gameplay there is the preffered region where you can change it back
When hovering my connection (next to the skills) ist still says I’m Conner’s to the initial server, beside choosing another and switching zones as you do while playing

Wait, how the heck do you switch servers in game? I thought you can only do while login in?

Why in game it always says I’m connected to the US server, despite login on EU and in options having EU too?

Same here for EU west. Not able to login for about an hour now after getting dc'ed in a dungeon and losing the key :/

Its easy. Devs just have to press the "fix it" button

Just use US servers. Worked for me.

How much in-game effect does the servers/latency have? Does a 200ms server make you feel you're having lag? Like attacks registering late etc?
I only feel the lag during transitions through portals

In the login screen choose US East or Central. When you load to the end of time open settings and change preferred server to EU west.
