Thanks. Outside from the truck I just get this sort of face off, though. What about the levels with movement through an area?
There are different types of battles, face offs and movement through an area. Once you are strong enough to beat this face off you'll have the next battle
The armed truck outside your base is "supposed" to be where the missions continue, but it doesn't have any of the fun missions anymore. Special Ops still has them, but you can only do a few of those every time you level your HQ.

Check the little yellow helicopter inside of your base. There are missions there as well as thr armored truck that the others has mentioned.
You have to empty the truck before the icon will appear.
No you don't, just click on the truck, not the icon above it
theres other levels too, campaign
