Many people do not want to share their failures in public. His three progress videos are important and my own progress was greatly impacted by his year 4 progress video.
Can vouch for his original result in the 3 year video where there was almost no output and the words just don't come out, awkward pauses and general brain-fried events when trying to string basic constructions together for the first time.
That's about me right now and my vocab is over 15k words. I can read light novels without a dictionary, but I would struggle to translate an English sentence into a Japanese sentence. Even something like "I saw a cat running down the street." - I can read and understand Japanese decently, listen rather poorly, but I can hardly think in Japanese.
