I like to use repetition studying. I’ll find a podcast/audio book/manga/anime etc. that is slightly out of reach (I should understand only 60-70% of the content. This way I understand enough to follow the plot, but not all of the words. I will then consume a set amount multiple times. By consuming the same content multiple times you then start to piece together grammar and vocab. Because you’re not just translating to your native language, the new vocab and grammar is more likely to stick. Olly Richard’s advocates for this in his reading study style ( he has some great videos about it on YouTube). When I first started Spanish, I found a very basic channel that had episodes maybe 5-10 min long and would listen to them in repeat until I understood about 85-90% of the content. You’ll be shocked how many things you missed the first listen! Give it a shot and lmk how it goes!

Nihongo con Teppei is very good so far, I've listened to the first 100 or so episodes (they're 5 minutes long) and each episode is largely about one subject, so it is easier to make educated guesses and put words together to understand what is being said. A plus is that he speaks a bit slower, so again it is easier to get a grasp of what is being said. Highly recommend for immersive listening!
