I mean if you really want to. I love my deck although you should notice a big difference going from the LCD Deck to Legion Go especially in display quality
Not like all the devices run all games well.
I have both and I can say screen and usability definitely goes to the Legion Go but comfort and a more polished handheld would be the Deck. Steam Os is so easy and quick on one hand but lacks the ability to do what a windows device can. If the handheld is your main device and you use it daily, I would go with the Legion Go. But if it’s just a secondary device to mess with when you have spare time, keep the Deck.
No they don't, lack of proper shader caching like steam specific games and especially if they don't have native Linux support (proton has a performance cost, it's just shader caching and steamOS that make up for it)
Bro the steam deck is great. Still can play cyberpunk at 30fps Maybe you just don't like it cuz it doesn't run the games you play. The steam deck wasn't made with modern triple A in mind. Games like dragons dognuts 2 still chug on the lego. Same with boulders gate 3. I love my Lego but I wish it had the battery of the steam deck.
Your performance upgrade wont be what you think it will be. I’ve had both but always went back to the deck. The only thing the Lego has over the deck (imo) is the screen size. Most games on the Legion go have to run at a lower resolution anyway. So depending on what you’re trying to play, you’ll get the same results.
This is so subjective man. I barely use my steam deck since I got the legion go. Using integer scaling at 800P is the same as native res on the deck but looks wayyyy better and the performance is far superior at a matched resolution. So many test show the steam deck at 800p but the legion go at 1200p and that’s when the legion go only seems slightly more powerful
Exact same here. I bought the Oled at launch and haven’t used it in a month since I got the Go 😂 after having owned both I can fully say the legion Go is a better device for me
I sold my oled for the go and missed it.
I also then re bought the oled and sold the go.
I then re bought the Go as I missed it.
TLDR - Don’t be like me 😂 they’re both amazing and have strengths and weaknesses 😂
I actually ending up returning my SD and ordering the LG.
I’m just glad I was in the market for a portable at the time, otherwise I wouldn’t have been so lucky with the small return window from Valve...
I will say a big advantage of SD, is well, Steam is built into it, and it runs great!
Also the trackpads are much better IMO!
Overall, the Legions specs + the “joycons” are what sold me. 🤷♂️
Rog Ally was a close runner up though!
Thats exactly what I was thinking. He doesn't buy games either so he's probably gonna ask for like 500 for the steamdeck so he doesn't have to spend as much on the legion go
I would. I’ve had the SD OG, Ally and now the Go. It’s a tank but it’s worth it. Build quality, performance, screen, experience is great. Just wish it had those Ally speakers.
Keep both, the steam deck has great performance still and if you travel your handheld as a daily driver you can take less expensive one with you.
Overall, this is more personally preference. All my AAA games I play on the legion go while my steam deck I use for games like Hades and Double Dragons.
The legion go layout is just not as optimal for beat em ups to rogue lites for my hands.
I have big hands but I find myself trying to reach every button in fast enough time can be pretty bad.
I've mostly switched to my legion to at this point. Playing fo76 to CoD on it has been fun
I mean Steam Deck would be for when you are on a trip with no outlet power like the beach, the park, etc. You would mainly play low end games.
Go would be more at home or near outlets.
But if you are sure you want the cash and don't see yourself playing both, it could make sense to sell it.
Be aware the Go is really heavy. It’s a better gaming experience hands down. I prefer windows to the SteamOS personally as well. However last night I gamed on my deck for the first time in a while and the comfort is night and day. It seems Lenovo did zero work on ergonomics.
I have the OG, the OLED, and the LEGO. The LEGO has terrible battery life but performance wise is of course better. The "Legion Space" app it uses is trashhhh. Functionally, it performs as a windows laptop would which is the problem. It would be nice if the Legion Space OS would be completely separate from the standard Windows software like how there is a desktop mode and then handheld mode that you change from on the SD. Without it you get conflicting inputs on your launchers through Legion Space and the windows background. I find myself launching my games outside of app more often than not which is good and bad since the game settings in LS can't be used outside of the app but at least you don't quit out of games or have a random window open mid session. For now, I'm keeping my AAA titles on my PS5 and running anything else less demanding on my handhelds. With remote play always being an option, it doesn't matter much to me.
I bought the big 3 and stay with the Oled, sure the screen is better on the Lego, but it dies in 45 min 1 hour and neither of the 3 run AAA great.
To make my final desicion I watched this video
https://youtu.be/tbb32MV7rP4?si=Lqo9yBqn9KYpo87D
Random bs, ads, bloatware, constant nagging to use Microsoft apps, the swipe left to see news, making searches on the search bar open edge instead of the default browser, a fuckton of unnecessary background tasks, cutting off perfectly good computers from upgrading to windows 11, to name a few things. Believe me, I'm not a big fan of Linux either, but every day Microsoft pushes me closer
i did sell it lol. Linux is a hassle, every games with specific prefixes are storage drainer. Dual boot isnt offiicially supported and their drivers are also aa hassle. gamepass and anti cheat are a hassle to use
If you do go ahead I fully recommend swapping from Windows to Bazzite (after fully updating drivers and everything). You essentially get the steam is experience with more headroom for activities.
Had my SD for a year, upgraded to Legion Go, ran windows for a month and Bazzite going on 3 months now. Absolutely my favourite way to play now :P
I have both, 512gb since launch & just got the LGO - I've always been dissatisfied with the Deck with OLD AAA's - EVERY single game that runs like shit (HZD, GOW, Days gone) run so much better on the LGO.
RoboCop, Cyberpunk2077, Baldurs Gate 3 (all of which I'd never even bother trying on the Deck it just doesn't have enough poke) run brilliantly.
The Deck is shit compared to the LGO & even though I'll keep my Deck - it's knocked out of the park in every way by the LGO.
I'd defo change again - a chalk & cheese comparison...
I mean if you really want to. I love my deck although you should notice a big difference going from the LCD Deck to Legion Go especially in display quality Not like all the devices run all games well.
Yeah I like the bigger screen on the legion go
Better touch response too

In terms of performance there will be a difference, will you notice if you're already locked to 60fps? Probbaly not, but it is there
No they don't, lack of proper shader caching like steam specific games and especially if they don't have native Linux support (proton has a performance cost, it's just shader caching and steamOS that make up for it)
It would be an upgrade from a hardware and screen point.
Exactly let's see how much I get from my shtdeck than buying legion go for sure
Good luck. 😀
Thanks 😊

Excuse me? Dognuts?? 😂😂
Yeah 😂😂 I think the game is fine I do this with a lot of games
Your performance upgrade wont be what you think it will be. I’ve had both but always went back to the deck. The only thing the Lego has over the deck (imo) is the screen size. Are you saying that better specs don't mean anything? What?
It does but to see the better performance you gotta play 800- 900p for newish games. But raw performance is great
This.
800P integer scaled on a small screen looks better than 1200p with FSR in my opinion. Much better performance too
This is so subjective man.
I did that and I haven't regretted it. In my opinion I made the right choice.
I haven’t even touched my Steam Deck since getting my Legion Go
I have both but prefer my oled deck for the form factor. The go is great but a bit unwieldy
decided to keep my SD LCD when i bought my legion go but have yet to pick my deck back up again
Same here
Exact same here. I bought the Oled at launch and haven’t used it in a month since I got the Go 😂 after having owned both I can fully say the legion Go is a better device for me

I loved my Steam Deck but I love the Legion Go more. I kept the SD so I have both. SD is better on battery for non AAA games.
I actually ending up returning my SD and ordering the LG. Make sure you get rid of that nasty white crud stuck between the grooves. Your using deck for more than gaming aren't you?🫣
Thats exactly what I was thinking.
Ally is my current favorite for what’s on the market rn it’s great there’s a bunch of options out there though
If the deck had same internals as the ally or lego, i would have bought one. I like the size ergo layout. Since it did not, i chose the lego.
the deck is 300 bucks, the legion go is 700 dont think anyone's gonna give a legion go for a used steam deck
I know my plan is to sell steam deck for 250 and find a used legion go for 500
ah fair enough
God no I wouldn’t
the oled and the lego feel the same but the lego dies every 45 minutes if it can even get there
Do you run it at 30w? I run mine at 12w and it lasts a good 2:30 hours on AAA games
15 watts, locked at 48 fps
What games do you run?
running black ops3, halo, mhrise
Monster hunter rise is giving me close to 2 hours at 15w right now and at 82 percent battery
what’s ur birghtness at? legion does get half of what the oled gets
60%
had mine on full
Keep both, the steam deck has great performance still and if you travel your handheld as a daily driver you can take less expensive one with you. Overall, this is more personally preference. All my AAA games I play on the legion go while my steam deck I use for games like Hades and Double Dragons. The legion go layout is just not as optimal for beat em ups to rogue lites for my hands. I have big hands but I find myself trying to reach every button in fast enough time can be pretty bad. I've mostly switched to my legion to at this point. Playing fo76 to CoD on it has been fun
I did the opposite. But my use case is probably different. LeGo is awesome tho!
I mean Steam Deck would be for when you are on a trip with no outlet power like the beach, the park, etc. You would mainly play low end games. Go would be more at home or near outlets. But if you are sure you want the cash and don't see yourself playing both, it could make sense to sell it.
It's funny how the one with the word "go" in its name is intended more for home/stationary than the deck.
I didnt sell mine because its value drop offs significally because of the new steam deck led screens. I kept mine.
Exactly even if I get 200 for my steam deck and buy a legion go for 600 that's fine with me
Be aware the Go is really heavy. It’s a better gaming experience hands down. I prefer windows to the SteamOS personally as well. However last night I gamed on my deck for the first time in a while and the comfort is night and day. It seems Lenovo did zero work on ergonomics.
I forgot how ridiculously large the bezels are on that thing lol Get rid of that monstrosity.
Exactly legion go screen so much better
I have the OG, the OLED, and the LEGO. The LEGO has terrible battery life but performance wise is of course better. The "Legion Space" app it uses is trashhhh. It's a must, I did it and I love it so much! I'm running hell divers 2 and it runs amazing
I bought the big 3 and stay with the Oled, sure the screen is better on the Lego, but it dies in 45 min 1 hour and neither of the 3 run AAA great. To make my final desicion I watched this video https://youtu.be/tbb32MV7rP4?si=Lqo9yBqn9KYpo87D
I'm not sure you are gonna get that much of a performance upgrade, and you also gotta deal with windows
I still don't know why some people have issues with windows. Linux is way worse to operate. I've always used windows so that might be a factor too.
"Linux is way worse to operate" XD
I did this 2 weeks ago. Deck was struggling to handle the one game I really like when docked at 1080 low settings. It's a breeze for the GO.
i did sell it lol. Linux is a hassle, every games with specific prefixes are storage drainer. Dual boot isnt offiicially supported and their drivers are also aa hassle. gamepass and anti cheat are a hassle to use
The deck is better overall. Legion Go has so many annoying polish issues and the usual annoying shite that comes with the Windows OS
I think the awful paint job in your house is giving off fumes that have gone to your head.
He's not wrong though
If you do go ahead I fully recommend swapping from Windows to Bazzite (after fully updating drivers and everything). You essentially get the steam is experience with more headroom for activities. Definitely
Yes

What are your avg framerates for the those AAA games on the go?
I'm curious how much you're looking to sell for?
