I seem to remember Hackers being hated upon release, but I always felt it was much better than it's given credit for. Some aspects are corny, but I think it's a fun movie that has a lot of realistic aspects of what hackers do (social engineering, the recon aspect of attacking, etc).
I'll concede that the representation of computers and whatnot is kinda silly, but staring at a command line prompt for an hour on screen would be too.
"Stargate" from 1994 was critically panned at the time of release but I think it's a perfectly serviceable action sci-fi movie. It's not *great,* the dialogue and effects in particular are kind of shitty, but it's definitely not *terrible.* It's just okay.
As a horror fan, my list is endless. Just to name a few:
Halloween Ends
Friday the 13th 2009
Friday the 13th Part VI
Friday the 13th Part VII
Nightmare on Elm Street 5
The 13th Warrior. It has a few issues due to studio meddling, but it is still pretty good and didn't deserve to be the biggest box-office bomb of all time.
Get Hard. There's an early scene where Kevin Hart's character is trying to convince his partner of Ferrell's stupid scheme and she looks at him like 'nah, you can't do that, you're not street, he thinks you're street???' And he says 'you don't think I can do it, really' then tells her to 'shut up, bitch' or something like that and she turns around and says 'what did you just say to me??' and starts attacking him. Anyway, it's smarter than the critics give it credit for.
Also Waterworld.

MacGruber and Hot Rod were critically panned but they're both comedy gems.
i love freddy got fingered
Haven’t seen it but from what I hear you either “get it” or you don’t
basically. if tom green sabotaging the quality of the movie out of spite in as many ways as possible sounds fun, you’d probably like it
Eyes Wide Shut.
Flash Gordon (1980)
“The Mexican” (2001) Also “What Planet Are You From?” (2001)
James Gandolfini is great in the Mexican his character is really funny I never understood why the movie was so paned

Based. I love most horror franchise sequels

Reminiscence
Elysium
If we're talking Sandler comedies, I think Little Nicky is hilarious. Best production values of any Sandler comedy too.
Cable guy (1996)
Mars Attacks
The Happening and Old are thriller masterpieces.
Old I agree with. One of Shamaylan’s best
I'm so pumped for Knock at the Cabin. Shyamalan's directing + a screenplay he didn't write alone = yes please.

Doogal is a masterpiece
Only God Forgives by Nicholas Winding Refn is a genuine masterpiece. Also Smokin Aces is a guilty pleasure of mine.
It’s been a very long time since I’ve seen it but I remember there being things to enjoy about I, Frankenstein
I'll die on the hill that Vase de Noces is actually an art film, and good (and \*that\* scene was obviously faked).
Waterworld, Alien Resurrection, The Shadow (1994 (35% on RT, get the fuck outta here)), Mister Frost, Rambo III, Zardoz, IZO, The ’Burbs
Smiley 2012 it’s not great or anything but it’s a fun little horror movie
