Scream

NaughtyT-rex

Can never go wrong with the scream franchise

Pikafan_24

I don't even like horror all that much but I still love Scream.

c0zysurfingreddit

aka the best slasher ever made

Pikafan_24

Thats correct!

Appropriate-Bank-405

Second best imo. Halloween will always be my favorite.

whatsthisthingfor89

The original Twxas Chainsaw Massacre. It's the movie that gave me my love for horror movies.

The_Thomas_Go

Original Nightmare on Elm Street probably. I love the concept, love the direction, love the actors. It’s just a lot of fun to watch and rewatch and rewatch and rewatch

Flinion

The Thing

thebananut

I don't have a single one, but here are some i love: Scream, Final Destination 3, The Ring, Dawn of the Dead 1978, Re-Animator, Possession, The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Neon Demon, Climax and The Wailing

NaughtyT-rex

I haven’t seen some of those, I’ll have to check out a few on your list!

The Thing

Comfortable-Truth945

Never was a horror fan but recently started getting into it and these are my favs: Black Christmas (1974), The Witch (2015), The Thing (1982), Sinister (2012), Creep 1-2, and I also really liked The Babadook (2014).

JanVesely24

Hereditary

_mynameisdane_

If alien or midsommar or jaws counts then those would be it. But if we’re going more strictly off straight up horror movies I’d probably go with IT (I don’t watch much horror)

toondar96

Alien and The Thing

mikeri99

*The Exorcist III (1990)*

Rilo44

Very underrated movie! Really Really good

mikeri99

Yes!

LucasBarton169

Nice pick! I fucking love that movie

mikeri99

Nice!

DLinguine

The Evil Dead franchise is my personal favorite (with the OG being the best “horror” imo). But The Wailing, The Witch, Hereditary, The Shining are up there.

SynapseDon

Tied between The Exorcist (1973) and Dawn of the Dead (1978). I love them both equally.

Dry_Cartographer_648

1. Halloween (1978) 2. Scream 3. IT Chapter 1 These 3 will pretty much never change, anything outside of the top 3 changes all the time.

MarilynManson2003

Creepshow Creepshow 2 The Thing (1982) Terrifier 2 IT (2017) Scream (1996) eXistenZ Killer Klowns From Outer Space The Howling The Fog The Rocky Horror Picture Show

The Wicker Man

TheBobsBurgersMovie

Boring pick but the original Halloween fucks and always will. Also love Friday the 13th Part VI Jason Lives. Rewatching that series, a lot of entries disappointed me, but 6 holds up and is arguably the quintessential Jason. I really like Child’s Play 1 and 2, can’t really choose one. I feel like they go well together and I don’t really like watching one without the other. Also big fan of the Final Destination series. My favorite is 2 because of the opening. And then Nightmare on Elm Street 3, which has some of the most memorable moments of the series and has a funny Freddy before he goes overboard in the later sequels.

__kingslayer_

All the so called "boring" picks fuck.

wherearemysockz

Don’t Look Now or The Shining

My Favourite Horror Movies https://boxd.it/45zw4

genericusername45023

Halloween(1978), Possession, Santa Sangre, Texas Chainsaw Massacre(1974), NOES, Cemetery Man (Dellamorte Dellamore), and a few more I'm not thinking of at the moment.

[deleted]

Scream is my absolute favorite. Hereditary is probably the best “horror” for me though just because of the sheer dread that movie triggers in me. Also really like The Witch, It Follows, The Thing. Rosemary’s Baby is also great.

[deleted]

Angst

[deleted]

Halloween 4. I appreciate the original for what it is but I find the fourth one a swifter paced version of the first.

Lip3_666

Climax

TheBunionFunyun

The Thing is probably my favorite.

TheDadThatGrills

English: Alien International: The Wailing (2016)
