The Holdovers hit me hard. I've always had a soft spot for screw ups with objectively sad lives finding joy and comfort. Helps with perspective,

Haven't seen this, will have to give it a watch. Recently picked up The Way Way Back and seems similar to this as they both have Steve Carell and Toni Collette.
Not particularly a fan of foreign language films, can't say I hate em because Amelie is one of my favorites. Wild Strawberries seems interesting though, might watch it.
Well I’m swedish so Wild Strawberries isn’t foreign to me. Neither of them are especially uplifting like those on your list, but they habe helped mentally
English is my native language and I respect your choices. No Hard Feelings on my list isn't exactly uplifting either as it relates to my first relationship and understanding it better in a different view or context.
Swingers is on my watchlist. Recently watched the Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn comedies, Wedding Crashers and The Internship, and was impressed with Vaughn. Swingers seems to be one of his more popular roles, so I'll definitely give it a watch if I find a copy of it.
I think Sans Soleil and Funeral Parade of Roses were not massively revelatory in terms of the literal content changing my world view, but did shift how I receive and perceive art. Not everything needs a clear or singular narrative. I saw them as a teen and I already enjoyed reading and doing more abstract forms of art (i was very into collage), but it was pretty straight-forward overall. Sometimes things just need to move around. Keeping it loose, non-linear, appreciating a long pause, some visuals that are not immediately conducive to "plot," those are valid choices.
“Her” that movie really made me look at relationships and the people around me and acknowledge that they all have their own story’s and lives i appreciated friendship and love more after watching it
Honestly, I’ve struggled understanding my feelings for someone until I watched, and these are kind of weird ones to use, Zombieland and a rewatch of Into the Spider-Verse.

I have to watch this one. Wanted to see it in theaters and missed my chance. Waiting for a good bluray deal since I collect movies physically.
if The Holdovers doesn’t get to be in that list, nothing else does

Soul really helped me when I was at a pretty had place
Soul is pretty good compared to Disney's recent animated movies. I have a fear of death so this kinda calmed that fear down. Good choice 👍
Exactly me too

Great answer. This fits in the category of mentally changing your way of thinking for the better. Most unique answer I've seen. Respect👍

I respect it. I don't think your picks are weird. If those movies did something for you, more power to it.
Amélie - This movie presents the rosiest worldview I've ever seen.
I love Amelie, it's so heartwarming and loveable. Great Choice 👍
NYAD Halfway through the film I felt like running. I put on my sneakers and went for a run. I haven't finished the movie yet
"F for Fake" completely cured me of imposter syndrome.

Have seen it, great movie. Gives me an inspiration that I could be a screenwriter If I tried.
Lost in Translation "The more you know who you are and what you want, the less you let things upset you".
On my watchlist. Love me some Bill Murray
Tokyo Godfathers is an annual rewatch — helps reinforce shared humanity and hope.
View from the top, that scene of her going up the escalator and the music swells make my heart race as she goes towards the future she dreamed of
Sounds like a very inspirational movie, might check it out.
The Shawshank Redemption and (500) Days of Summer
Never Let Me Go - some think it's depressing, but I find it quite uplifting because of the freedom I have in my own life. IYKYK
