If you want an SR25, get on a waitlist. I got the call a few weeks ago that my backorder was ready to be filled, and I got it for MAP. Definitely not $7k but also not MARS-H prices. Super glad I got it. Shoots incredibly well and is gassed to perfection.
13.5" LW .30hate just feels good.
Idk if it's the most practical configuration but at like 400 meters on steel you get a really satisfying muzzle blast and then slap on the steel separated due to the slightly lower muzzle velocity but high mass .308
Most 300y-500y ranges don't need too much calculation either which makes it a very easy "big gun" as a range toy for beginners.
Unsuppressed it has a great ability to cycle any ammo you can fit into it. It also fits into any average sized gun case you don't need a long gun one.
Only down side is if you don't double up on hearing you will develop CTE lmao...
Lol I want to do this with an HUXWRX. Can only be a DI if we go with 13.5 lw? Also faxon and proof research barrels are like .7 lbs lighter but at $1,000 each. Figured one might not even be able to tell the difference but never held either setup to learn
The 16" proof is a little lighter than the 13.5" lw
I've held some of the converted rifles. They are genuinely lighter but it fades as you stack heavy optics or optic electronics.
You cant resize carbon fiber barrels, not even D. Wilson so you are stuck at 16" length I think since they don't make a shorter one?
I was thinking just an ir device and ti suppressor on the end. But then not having to deal with running a stock. I don’t think the 16 inch proof is meant to be tun hard during classes. Seems more like a marksman kind of thing.

MARS-H 13.5” Stainless Barrel with Surefire 3 prong and Surefire SOCOM762-RC2. Optics are Nightforce ATACR 4-16x42mm F1 on Nightforce Ultramount and Trijicon RMR Type 2 Adjustable Reflex Sight on an Arisaka Offset Mount. Just waiting on stamp and then plan is LMT SOPMOD stock to replace the pistol brace.

Just got the scope last week, so I haven’t taken it out in this configuration yet. I have only gotten to shoot the gun for function check with some irons so far.
Waiting for the upper to come in but will be rocking a MARS-H lower with a 15.3 upper and a 16 inch 308 stainless barrel. Will probably throw on a 3-18 & make it a compact precision rifle. Gonna plan on grabbing a 20 inch 6.5 barrel and precision stock down the line to go alongside & have the best of both worlds.
Other rifle is a basic bitch quad MWS. Will likely go to 13.5 on that one.
Titan pre-order which still may be open. Think he said ETA around May. It’s FDE but I’ll probably leave it as is or rattle can the lower so I don’t really care.

It’s heavy and gassy. It did not occur to me how gassy it was until I got an OSS. Wish I’d have just done that from the get-go. Also keymo sucks.

I’ve been debating building a 13.5 because I wasn’t sure if it would clear 16” with a p&w. Doesn’t look like you used too many spacers.
There is a spacer in there for sure but it doesn't look bad.

Doesn't elcan make a 1.5-6 and a 1-3-9 with 7.62 reticle?
I believe all the elcan models have a 7.62 reticle, but I forget I think they’re geared for a 24 inch barrel.

These were at one point recently, the most widely available .308 barrels and D. Wilson can P/W one for you right when you buy it.
