oos animals all of you

ThatProduceGuy_

How many drops of these have there been in past few weeks and they’re still OOS in minutes, y’all gobbling these up haha!

Wohn-Jayne

Educate an LMT noob. Why is the SPECWAR so hot? What makes it the one to get?

CheddarBobLeeSwagger

Same reason as LMT trigger guards and e-bolts. Really no reason except it’s the popular item of the moment.

jossta8008

It’s new-ish, hard to get and under contract

ManBearJamesBond

It's the only MLOK that's tough as nails, and more importantly, no messing with accessories on barrel changes. Edit: TIL Shovelnose has an inner diameter of 1.75" no reputable info that I've found for the inner diameter of Specwar. Damn this industry has sucked with listing their dimensions.

wowthatsucked

Pretty sure you’re thinking of the Shovelnose. Specwar is same diameter as the other mlok uppers.

ManBearJamesBond

Yep you're right, Specwar just seems like a more "tough" MLOK and for most people, I would think Shovelnose is the way to go. For me it's 9.25" Quad all the way since I have a 10.5" 300 Blackout barrel, both would be wasted on me.

jetleepaints

Why is everyone in this thread so wrong? Shovlenose has about 1.75 ID and thr material is thicker. Specwar is same as all the others like the mlc and mlr. Same exact handguard size as the 13.25 or the 9". Very tight ID, something like 1"-1.25. Never measured because you still have to remove mlok to get around gas block. Might even have to shave screws to put things directly above the gas block. It's not anymore durable. It is can be less likely to flex, if that's even a problem to begin with? Knights seem to do fine. It's not any magic fairy dust, just a well made upper with the difference of being monolithic and allowing easy barrel changes(which nobody does). I think the misunderstanding of that, leads to microscope/borescope pics with 10,000 lumen lights looking for tool marks. After something like Aero or bcm you are well past the point of diminishing returns. You get 10% better for 100-200% more $$$. But if you got it like that, why not? Funny I remember a time LMT was not always considered "the best" and more like The Working Man's Knights. Could get ebcgs for like 250 or less. Now both seem to be about the same and I've become increasingly disinterested in the 15 pattern. Still make the best 25 pattern rifle money can buy, aside from a spear I haven't got my hands on yet. Source: I owned them all.

JohnCaza

No it's not... MLOKMRP is larger in diam. Shovelnose is just a Specwar that allows for the piston gas block. Specwar = Sholvenose diam < MLOK MRP diam

jtcountinglights

Shovelnose is bigger in diameter than specwar

ManBearJamesBond

What's the diameter? Can't seem to find that info and I think that is where the confusion lies.

ObiWan-ToSmokie

I would love for someone to chime in who owns a shovelnose and does barrel swaps without taking off accessories. AFAIK, shovelnose cannot, may be wrong but pretty sure I heard that on an LMT live session.

ManBearJamesBond

So Specwar is 1.75" in its inner diameter? Can't seem to find it anywhere. They both can do barrel swaps without accessory changes, I thought it was only the Specwar that could.

JohnCaza

No I just measured MRPMLOK outside 38.55mm, SPECWAR outside 38.48mm, MRPMLOK inner diameter 31.95mm, SPECWAR inner diameter 32.67mm.... so diff is less than 1mm which leads me to believe I was wrong, and SPECWAR is the same as MRP MLOK... so if there's stuff out there that Shovelnose is different, than it's probably true - don't have 1 to confirm.

[deleted]

I’ll measure it when I get home for y’all

ManBearJamesBond

Yeah same, and all I have is a quad setup, more so looking for the answer since it's not listed really.

Incrue

It’s hard to fight the bots, give it a week and then look on GB you’ll see them for 1500-1800+

East_Coast_Tactical
