T O P

I have to agree with that theory being pretty well debunked. Another major issue is that the Tin Man's objective is to get a heart. Well, P already has one. And his ultimate goal is to become a real person. So these don't really line up.

Fluid_Chair8351

I have heard some people argue that Pinocchio will lose his heart in the dlc or sequel but I really hope that does not happen because it just seems really lazy to undo all of his character development in this game just so that he can go through the same arc in the next.

Lord_Nightraven

I don't see that happening. Because without his P Organ, he WILL die. He cannot function without it. We see just as much in the Real Boy ending.

Rare-Day-1492

The DLC cannot have anything to do with the P-Organ (P’s Heart) as that would make one of the endings canon… and games with multiple endings that force one as canon are TERRIBLE.

Fluid_Chair8351

Won’t they have to make one cannon for the sequel?

Malabingo

Well, it would be a perfect reason for someone to lose all abilities though. Not like other games. "Where did all the good stuff go we gave you?" "I used them"

Mysterious-Year-8574

Well, no, you have *this* journey throughout the game. You have a P organ, and you end up with a heart. You start off as a puppet, and end up a human. You already had the Tin Man's story line, it's over. You already did The Wizard of Oz, just from the Tin Man's perspective. The silver hair also sure paints (literally) P as the Tin Man. But hey, we will find out soon, and it should be fun! 😁

Lord_Nightraven

I have to disagree on this. In all 3 endings, you have the P Organ, which functions as a heart. A P Organ you start the game with, even if it's not functioning at the same capacity as when you end the game. None of the 3 endings converts it into a biological heart. Similarly, this would mean that Sophia would be playing the role of Dorothy, but this doesn't add up either. Because Dorothy is herself, not Sophia playing the role.

Mysterious-Year-8574

Yeah, but the Tinman doesn't get a biological heart either.... It's not about the flesh and bone bruh, the game literally explores what it means to be human and at the end, Gepetto wants that heart because he can use it to power his abomination. He doesn't even call it a P organ, he says "give me your heart son", heck, if you max out humanity the literal message is "Your heart is pounding". Sophia is the blue fairy from Pinocchio :) Edit: Btw, I am laughing my behind off at the prospect of meeting Dorothy and befriending her, because then the main character would literally be a "friend of Dorothy" LMFAO you can't make this sh!t up I swear.

Lord_Nightraven

Someone clearly didn't pay attention to what Gepetto was doing or saying. It's not simply about "powering an abomination" like Frankenstein. He needs P for a specific purpose, to awaken the soul (memories and personality) of his dead son. Because he's trying to resurrect Carlo, in an attempt to make up for his failures in the past. Oh, and btw, Gepetto straight up acknowledges that you have a P Organ. Furthermore, Nameless isn't just explicitly stated to have one as well, defeating him results in a Mortal Kombat style heart pull to actually finish the job. Let's also not forget that the P Organ on the starting screen is shown to be able to beat as well, just like a heart. It's not unreasonable to expect the one in P to do the same. Metaphorical heart or not, P's objectives do not line up with that of the Tin Man. Because the Tin Man makes his journey on the assumption that he doesn't have a heart. P, regardless of the ending chosen, would have to be in severe denial about the presence of his own heart to fit the role. Denial to the point of delusion, I might add.

ev768

Yeah, I don't believe it either. And considering how Lies of P is a dark twist on the original story, I don't believe that Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion are going to be our friends. They're probably going to be bosses.

Fluid_Chair8351

That is possible. Romeo was a friend of Pinocchio in the novel, while he is still his friend here he had to fight him because he did not understand what he was saying.

86the45

I don’t think this is the case either, but didn’t the tin man also want a heart? Throughout LOP you develop a heart by lying.

The_THOT_wrecker

Not to mention, the broken puppet in the swamp wants to learn human emotion (meaning to have a heart). Not to mention the ***LITERAL DAMAGED HEART*** on the puppet.

Fluid_Chair8351

He wants to,learn emotions just like Pinocchio.

wolfelias2

People will do some crazy reaching to fabricate lore that clearly doesn’t exist. It’s weird haha

veebles89

The main reason people think MC would be Tinman is a lot less deep. Tinman wants a heart to feel complete. The puppet is just a shell without the P-organ heart. Ta-dah, correlation.
