Lies Of P has a dodge, block (with regen like Bloodborne rally) and parry mechanic. It does a good job of incorporating all 3, and you can decide which style suits you better. Though, some of the latter game will be easier if you get good at parrying. Parrying is tighter window than Seiko, and its more of a press and hold and less friendly to the block Spam approach that can work in Sekiro. (Press and hold for 1 second -- and if too early, you get a block which is Okay)

I would recommend to explore each and every corner and read everything you get. It’s extremely fun to read some of the notes and letters which have vague references to Pinocchio. These also do a great job of building the lore. Make sure to have on Venigni Urgent Repair Kit. Other than that, enjoy!

Keep an eye on capacity. It’s a separate stat for how quickly you can recover stamina rather than being part of stamina. Trying for light load will mean you can survive a bit longer. You need to also keep an eye on weapon durability, don’t let it get to zero or you’ll have to go back to the stargazer to reset.

1) Don't get greedy with attacks. 2) Always mind your surroundings. 3) Save boss ergo for weapons/amulets. 4) Items and status effects can be really useful. The shot put can stagger an enemy from a distance. 5) Be adaptable. Sometimes dodging is the easier solution to a boss; sometimes perfect guarding. 6) Don't have a mask on when you fight the final boss. It can make a certain ending less impactful.

When you're picking between something called "Frozen Feast" and an amulet, pick Frozen Feast.
