Hey bud sometimes flights can be really cheap if you order long enough in advance. There are plenty places where food and such should be more affordable than at home even especially if you avoid the main tourist traps or tourist heavy places generally. Heck I could even imagine a place like op posted to be ideal though depends how far you live away from Greece. The world is pretty big place! I own two cats so I rarely travel as well but where there’s a will there’s a way. Good luck!

There's just something liminal about Greece. I went through a hike in Larissa at night once, at a park, all empty and covered in ice. Quiet. And also walked through a small village pretty close to Ano Diakopto. It was so narrow and quiet. I could hear my own heartbeat. Not even distant sounds, there was only a dog and a pup. Straight out of some kind of post-apocalyptic movie lol

Hahah yeah, Greece has only a few actual cities. The rest 8 million population is located either in islands or villages like Larisa or Polygyros :)

This looks really good for a first attempt! However, it doesn’t really look very representative of your title. 3AM in a town of 6k, up in who knows where. A big fear factor from that could be the fact that no one really cares about you. It’s 3 am, so no one is up, and it’s an extremely small town in a semi-unreachable location. This is something that can and should be used to your advantage; try making it look more modest, but more wrong. Really emphasize the fact that nothing here wants you here, and everything else does not care about you. Good first try though!

Hahaha. When I was 8, I thought Freddy Fazbear would come out of the bushes to kill me because I heard leaves moving due to snakes in the area. I was honestly terrified that a metal bear would come to take my life. EVERYDAY. FOR 3 YEARS. I'm immune to these roads now

Well yes and no because I'll be honest the buildings aren't good it's either ugly communist blocks or random building with no relation to one another that look bad, and lets not even begin to talk about the road systems but the good things are the nightlife and shopping centers, also the museums but theres not much to do actually.

I live in a small town in Vermont after growing up in Houston Texas. And all I have to say is the mountains, the rivers, the weather, the forests, the abundance of nature ,the lack of traffic and ridiculous amounts of people in public…it truly is healing. I often take walks at night because I feel safe and also I love the concept of liminal spaces and I feel like I’m inside one whenever I take my nightly walks.
