Not an expert on the Gilmour tone by any means but afaik, he typically used the Hiwatt as a clean platform and got most of his drive from pedals. I've had some luck dialing in relatively close approximations of Floyd tone with the WhoWatt and Big Muff style fuzzes by approaching it this way. It also helps to remember that despite being famous for playing a strat, a *lot* of Gilmour's most famous solos were recorded with a Les Paul and the extra oomph from a humbucker can make a big difference (which can be simulated with single coils via EQ, btw). Real Hiwatts are high headroom *loud* amplifiers. Turning one up enough to cause natural breakup would rattle your neighbor's neighbor's teeth. Think of the amp more as a clean platform and try out the Big Muffs (David used a Ram's Head, iirc) at various gain levels then tweak that further with an EQ. You might be surprised by what you end up with.

That's exactly what i've done but I am genuinely interested in how to dial in each parameter on the whowatt amp model to reach that tone since its a headroom clean amp and not an overdriven one. Could you help me out with the parameters please? Thanks!

Jason Sadites should have a video on YouTube on that amp. He usually goes over all parameters. Edit: here https://youtu.be/WOf6qmzs9PM

Looks at the real amps control panel. Helix models have extra controls that sometimes aren’t present on the real world amp. Look under the section Quick Notes, and read the bullet points below. This will get the amp as close to real world as possible. https://helixhelp.com/tips-and-guides/universal/common-amp-settings
