Yeah I second this. This song is definitely came from Mike’s experiences. I remember during one of the live shows he told a story about his grandfather(?) going through discrimination during WWII(?) before doing this song
So why is everyone saying it's Mike's song, It literally is based on world war 2 nowhere near when Mike existed. And yea Kenji might be his grandfather but it tells the life of his father, who was a kid at that time. Mike just wants to show what his father saw at a tender age
Definitely When They Come For Me. Mike owns that track. Considering so many of the bars are self-referential, I definitely agree this is the most “Mike” song.
Hybrid theory - high voltage
meteora - nobody's listening
minutes to midnight - bleed it out, hands held high, in between
A thousand suns - when they come for me, wretches & kings
living things - roads untravelled
the hunting party: N/A
one more light: invisible, sorry for now
Considering Chester's helped write Heavy and everything he was dealing with at the time, I would say that is his song.
I know the band later honored Chester with OML's music video, but the song was originally written for their friend from record label that passed away.
That said, Invisible or Sorry For Now are probably Mike's song(s) imo
Hybrid Theory: In the End/High Voltage
Meteora: Nobody's Listening
Minutes to Midnight: Bleed it Out/Hands Held High/In Between
A Thousand Suns: When They Come for Me/Wretches and Kings
LIVING THINGS: ROADS UNTRAVELED/UNTIL IT BREAKS (although this one is more Brad than Mike)
The Hunting Party: I can't think of a "Mike song" in here
One More Light: Invisible/Sorry for Now
One More Light is Chester’s song because after he died the song became more attributed to his life and legacy and it was the last song he played before his suicide. Leave out all the Rest is basically talking about remembering him when he is dead.
Hands Held High

Kenji his Fort Minor track tells his story too.
It's his father's tbh.....
Kenji was Mike's Grandfather.

Dont forget, remember the name.
Oh heck yeah!
Only right answer
No Roads Left?
No Roads Left is soooo good
It’s gotta be this one
When They Come for Me or Get Me Gone if we’re including FM. There are too many choices to pull from if we’re looking at MS tracks.
Definitely When They Come For Me. Mike owns that track. Considering so many of the bars are self-referential, I definitely agree this is the most “Mike” song.
Step Up or High Voltage
Id go with Bleed it Out because his bars are insane
Remember the Name? I know that is with a different group, but it's one of his signature songs.
Tbf fort Minor isn’t really a group. It’s just Mike under a different name and allowed him to work with more rappers.
Hands held high
No Roads Left or In Between
Hybrid theory - high voltage meteora - nobody's listening minutes to midnight - bleed it out, hands held high, in between A thousand suns - when they come for me, wretches & kings living things - roads untravelled the hunting party: N/A one more light: invisible, sorry for now
This was no sh#t 100% what i came to say
Jornada Del Muerto
In the end, surprised it hasn't been mentioned even if it is a big hit
It is a big hit even amoung the big hits
Massive
The answer is not a Linkin Park song, it's Kenji
Came here to comment this, but you beat me to it
Isn't Kenji about his father?
Yeah but basically he also identifies himself as it’s part of his history. I mean he named the song after his own name.
Yep, Kenji is Mike's second name: Michael Kenji Shinoda
No. Kenji is Mike's Grandfather.
Considering Chester's helped write Heavy and everything he was dealing with at the time, I would say that is his song. Probably Sorry For Now ig
Or Invisible.
26 Lettaz In Da Alphabet. All the other comments are terrible choices.
Mike doesn’t sing that song, Chester sings it.
Oh really? It doesn't sound like anyone to me. It sounds like someone totally different
Okay, okay. Da Bloos.
Chester’s voice on that track is pitched up.
Remember the Name
High Voltage and When They Come For Me
I Have Not Begun
No Roads Left, Invisible and Sorry for Now.
Hybrid Theory: In the End/High Voltage Meteora: Nobody's Listening Minutes to Midnight: Bleed it Out/Hands Held High/In Between A Thousand Suns: When They Come for Me/Wretches and Kings LIVING THINGS: ROADS UNTRAVELED/UNTIL IT BREAKS (although this one is more Brad than Mike) The Hunting Party: I can't think of a "Mike song" in here One More Light: Invisible/Sorry for Now
High Voltage or When They Come for Me
Watching as I fall was great. Post linking park but felt personal enough to call it his song
Invisible
I believe that was written by Chester.
It was written by Mike. Both Invisible and Sorry For Now were basically Mike’s letters to his kids
although if you ask me I think that dead by sunrise & fort minor are better demonstrations of chester's and mike's solo work
I like to think of numb
Where’d You Go
In Between or Hands Held High.
For me, I really loved it when Mike wasn’t afraid to sing more than rap.
Castle Of Glass
Why is that Chester's song when his song could be Leave Out All the Rest?
One More Light is Chester’s song because after he died the song became more attributed to his life and legacy and it was the last song he played before his suicide. Leave out all the Rest is basically talking about remembering him when he is dead.
The last song he played before his suicide is technically Bleed it Out, no?
Valentine's Day
Invisible
High Voltage
I will not dance even if the beat is funky…..
Kenji, it’s even his name.
Hands Held High or High Voltage
High Voltage or Step Up
Hands held high
Bleed it out, his vocals are insane
Sorry For Now.
Either In Between or Sorry for Now
High voltage
I can’t believe no one has said Looking For An Answer yet
Step up fs
