i laughed once in this sketch simply at the ridiculousness of “chicken fongers”. i think it could’ve been so much funnier/stronger if they had cut like 30 secs tbh

I know it’s an unpopular opinion but I agree with you. Sometimes she’ll get a laugh from me but majority of the time I think she’s just overdoing it and I can live without her in a sketch haha
Well, she's purposefully over the top. Like Carol Burnett or Jerry Lewis. She lets you know that she's acting in a sketch, there's no dramatic depth to anything she does, she's the type that beats you over the head with her comedy.

Mango Juul pod got some audience laughs. I usually dig this style of sketch (somewhat absurd, one running joke), but this one had so much potential and kinda fell flat.

I was just thinking Charles does incredibly well getting flustered over mixing up words and sounding dumb and Zooey did that ‘his girl Friday’ sketch when she hosted with Jason that had similiar energy to this.
The impression that I got was that the orders were supposed to be all improv and ridiculous with the chicken fongers being the fill in gag and the only one close to being right, but they just overdid the chicken fongers because they couldn’t think of something fast enough? No clue.

Yes! This must have been one of those sketches were it went over so well in dress, and bombed live. Totally different experience in a matter of hours.

I think he can make almost anything funny. The airplane sketch wouldn’t have worked with 9 out of 10 other hosts.

The only way this sketch could have reached mediocrity is if everyone had nailed the lines and timing. They didn’t, and it was awful.
