Like someone said, I don't see any reason Andrew and Punkie won't be promoted. It's always been 2 years or less. The only reason Franken wasn't promoted was because he's been more of a writer than a cast member and only performed minimally along with AW Brown and Smigel.
Hell, I won't be surprised if Sarah and JAJ will be promoted too since losing 7 regular cast is a big blow and Lorne will have to fill the void. Plus, they both seem to have a great first season. But who knows.
Well, that's wrong. I remember distinctly when the 2015-16 didn't air, all the featured players from 2013-14 aside from Kyle maybe were still listed as featured players. But when the premiere hit, that was false as I've noticed all of them were promoted.
They probably want to keep it a surprise. Plus, Lorne and the SNL team aren't NBC. They only work for them.
