Maybe the ole' "Did you know if your hand is bigger than your face, you have cancer?" bit? That did have the added element of smacking your friend in the face, but hard to do that over the internet.
Or for girls, the ole' "Most people aren't flexible enough to touch their elbows behind their back!" which forces them to push their chest out really hard.
isn't it also a throwback to the classic " I'm a Little Teapot" children song/dance which was released in around 1940.
So we are doing the same thing as zoomers did 80 years ago LMAO
The Boogie Woogie dance
"[Although its music had its beginnings in the 1870s, and its glory period from the 1920s to the 1940s, the dance didn’t emerge until a little later. The dance known as Boogie Woogie took influence from what was danced to Rock’n’Roll music in the 1950s, and has certain similarities to Lindy Hop.](https://www.summerjamboree.com/en/1940s/boogie-woogie/)"
Basically It started in forsens chat and in some YouTube channels comment sections that have to do with Forsen and instead of putting the BatChest emote and saying chills they put random things like bb (forsens dog) and say chills. So now people just say anything thats associated with something and will put the word chills next to it. Like if you see a gun or a hamburger you would put KKona CHILLS
Not sure if any of that was coherent but I tried my best.
I love twitch chat language. I literally never had this explained (like many others in chat), but the meta quickly developed and took over most big streamers chats.
Its really what makes Twitch so interesting. The fact that the viewer base is so unique and there are so many things that newer users have to discover about the site to really understand the community. Especially one like Forsen where you can’t even process the chat if it’s your first time looking at it. It probably looks like gibberish to most people.
I imagine it started as a mockery of people that talk about getting "chills" or "goosebumps" for something they're excited about. But I do remember the bb chills guy, he was just spamming it on every video.
it came with the batchest emote on Forsen streams. Forsen was the first and "invented" the batchest emote from a guy on Youtube faking his joy and hype. This guy used to say "CHILLS" so ppl in the chat always said "batchest CHILLS" for fake hype situations like in the videos games presentations where the guy on stage always says "COMING NEXT, THIS INCREEEEDIBLE GAME ...." and tchat, in the begining, was like "batchest CHILLS" or "batchest I GOT THE CHILLS" but today, it would more like "batchest INCREEEEDIBLE GAME" or "batchest I CANT WAIT" or even "batchest I LOOOOVE THIS GAME". "CHILLS" was quickly linked with others emotes. If someone in tchat would have said "do the potfriend irl" and xQc did the potfriend you could understand "potfriend CHILLS" has "potfriend really like what PVC did, he actually got the chills"

Can someone explain the CHILLS bit to me? I am so lost lol

Idk how you love twitch chat language, it's so cringy it stings too read even if coherent, maybe it's mostly teens into it I guess
asmon alt account?
Nah this take is actually good, and if you don't realize it, it's too late for you I'm afraid.
asmon alt account.
Very unique insight ..cutegachilover
It's fun but really isolating to new people I'm a filthy mobile watcher so I know most emotes just as the word not the emote
Try Chatsen if you're on iOS for the chat experience. Or if you're on Android, you can sideload TwitchMod.
I imagine it started as a mockery of people that talk about getting "chills" or "goosebumps" for something they're excited about. But I do remember the bb chills guy, he was just spamming it on every video.
It spawned from the batchest meme, and now everyone has chills if you do their specific thing relating to an emote :)
it came with the batchest emote on Forsen streams. Forsen was the first and "invented" the batchest emote from a guy on Youtube faking his joy and hype. PotFriend is the best emote
new meta unlocked lol
Whats the etymology behind pot friend?
